But then why can't we accept a platonic relationship? Their friendship is the most beautiful thing ever in the show and they see each other as support systems and siblings? Why should that necessarily be romantic? Honestly, I would be disappointed if they are together. Plus, the show also shows that women do not need a partner to be happy, and pairing Penelope with a guy would be such a dishonor to her spirits.

The actor who plays this Schneider is the worst actor in the whole show. I shudder at the thought that he is considered a comedy actor. Yikes. He's not funny at all and every scene with him is the most annoying cuz he's so unnatural. He just ruins the show for me.
I like him for the show, he doesn't feel any more unnatural than the rest of the actors. It's a sitcom, so acting isn't a priority anyway LoL. If you don't like his character I get it, but it's not really his acting that's bad.
