Is it just me or is EVERYONE genuinely in love with these two? I've been watching their videos for about 7 years now , for me they've become a part of my life I actually miss them when I dont see them for a while. I feel like a lot of you would know exactly what I mean. Simon and Martina if you're reading this I just want to say thank you for spreading so much joy and love and happiness and positivity and sparkles and colours and rainbows this family (thats legit what this fanbase feels like) practically poops glitter and candy after watching your videos. I dont usually leave comments on videos and it feels kinda weird saying this but you guys make me want to be a happier better version of myself. You're influencing so many lives just by being you and I think thats amazing. Shit loads of glitter coated candy love from Pakistan
I just noticed how long I have known Simon and Martina ... I discovered their channel basically 1-2 years after they moved to Korea and have been on and off with the channel since. Now I return to watch it some more - and it somehow feels like coming home. Still the smooth friendlyness I knew from many years in the past. Thank you for your videos and your traveling. :)
Knowing now that for yrs it's Martina doing the food porn voice and not Simon, makes it even better. I'm sure I wasn't the only one that thought Simon did it all that time. Been here since Eat your Kimchi. I'm an older viewer and adore them both. (I'm not quite old enough to be their parents tho lol) 💖💙💖
That feeling when you're watching an old Simon and Martina video and a new one is released and you have to push pause on the old video to run over and watch the new one. 😲🤩😍😍😍😍🤸🏽♀️🎉🎉🎉
I felt personally targeted with those chocolate croissants! I really enjoyed my visit to Barcelona when I went there but you guys make me wish I'd had more time to explore. If you're looking for places to go I'd recommend southern France, I studied abroad there and I just love the whole area
As a Spaniard I'm so proud and happy how much you enjoyed Barcelona, I've watched your videos since you were in Seoul and I'm so proud of your guys' journey!!! LOTS OF LOVEEE
If you really want to go on a chocolate adventure it's only right if you go to the TRUE SOURCE OF CHOCOLATE you need to go and visit south and central America. Places like Guatemala which have been crafting chocolate and chocolate goods since before Europe even knew it existed. This would be awsome you can do a whole series just on chocolate where you go around the world visiting all the famous chocolate destination. But first go to the source.
the whole time i read this, i couldnt stop thinking of the film "Chocolate" myan chili cocoa recipes are still replicated and sold today, and it is some of the best chocolate i've ever had. But not sure if south america is the safest place to visit right now with all that's going on.
Go. To. Vienna. I studied there last summer and the food is incredible. Not super competitive with chocolate, but applestrusel is amazing and you don't have to worry about noodles and turnips when you return home. If you go, the Nachmarkt is the place to be!!!
I decided that Barcelona was where I wanted to go on my honeymoon after watching this. We just got back and we had THE BEST time. Thank you for the inspiration. PS. We also ate the croissants every day.
Consider coming to Portugal, especially Lisbon! Portugal is considered a hidden gem in Europe - it's a beautiful, friendly country without many tourists save for the Algarve region. If you enjoyed Spain you'll enjoy Portugal. And the food is delicious!
Belgium set the standard for good chocolate! We invented the pralines! Plus we have over 1k+ kinds of beer! Also the editing of this video is so awesome it hurts! WOwow
As a Dutch woman I have to agree. Belgian chocolate is fantastic. But most food in Belgium is fantastic. Frites met mayonnaise en pickles yummy. Or steak bearnaise with frites. Sooo good
I’ve been having a rough time lately and it’s been hard to build a ladder, but I’ve MISSED you guys!!! Seeing a new video from you guys in my sub box is exactly what I needed, thank you guys for your content, it’s always a rung on the ladder for me 🥰
Seriously you both probably get this a lot but your videos are my number one favorite to watch when down in a funky mood you both always make me smile again. Also I love all your matching outfits! If there is a reward on here for the cutest matching outfits you both would win. All the tasty food looked so good and I am so happy you both had a wonderful trip. I hope you both have a wonderful day/night. :)
The production of this video is outta this world! I love ya'lls videos so much, and this one felt like it'd fit right at home on the Travel channel or some such thing. It was so great to experience a bit of Spain through this 30mins. It really makes me want to go someday, hopefully all the same places are still there!
I'm from Barcelona and I have to congratulate you guys this was an exceptional video that really made justice to what it can offer. I imagine that with 2 weeks you already did, but I just wanna recommend that if you have time you can visit the coasts of Catalunya (Costa Brava, Costa Daurada) and there you can actually enjoy some really really good paella and seafood in the little villages along the coast, + the scenery is just beautiful. And if you've even more time in the interior of Catalunya there's also really good, local, rustic cuisine. The ONLY thing I would say you missed is "Crema Catalana", the typical dessert in Barcelona and Catalunya as a whole. And btw "Pa amb tomàquet" (bread with not-sucky-ketchup) is only local to Catalunya, not Spain. As I said, amazing video, I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Automatically liking this video because I know it will be awesome. Living vicariously through you haha. Now I have something to watch while I cook wontons and empanadas.
Hi Simon and Martina, have you guys thought about visiting Lisbon, Portugal? It's both beautiful and pretty easy on the wallet for a European capital while being home to a burgeoning foodie scene and has lots of cool Air BNB's in the city center. I do have to warn you though, Lisbon's "Old City" of Alfama near the castle is ridiculously hilly. There are a few cool old street cars that can take you up a few of them though. If you like cherries and/or cough syrup, then you should like Lisbon's specialty cherry liqueur, Ginjinha. Sea food features heavily in Portuguese cuisine while also incorporating a lot from Portugal's many former colonies across the globe. You can assume that everything you liked in Spain, like great olive oil, meat, cheeses, wine and sweets are also available in Portugal, just with a different take on it. Portugal even influenced other countries cuisine like Japan with their take on Pão de Castela (Kasutera/Castella Cake).
@@anamoreira6882 I mentioned them in my comment. :) If you're in Lisbon a stop at Pasteis de Belem to taste the true OG's where they were created is a must!
@@RSkies I'm from the capital born and raised. In my opinion the Belem ones are overratted they were good like 20 years ago and now they just taste like overproduction and milk. For me the best are in Fabrica da nata in rua Augusta in chiado near terreiro do paço and they also have in the Time Out market in Cais do Sodre next to the train station
@@anamoreira6882 They may be overrated now (agree with you on that!), but they're still the OG. Good to try, then compare to the better ones out there. Do you know if the entrance at the back of the cafe is still there (so you can avoid the line up out front)? My favourite Portuguese pastry are queijadas actually. Love them with a strong galão; I always get them in Sintra. My mom is from Cascais, so was lucky to spend lots of time in Lisbon growing up (Lagos and Aveiro too, but we're talking Lisbon LOL). Mercado da Ribeira (Time Out) is so fun, and a great spot to try a lot of awesome things in one spot. I know it's touristy, but I love Café A Brasileira in Chiado.
Simon and Martina, You two are my husband and i’s FAVORITE youtubers. It’s always a production in our home when you both put a new video out. You two are the best!!❤️❤️❤️
Love your channel so much! I've miss your videos! They always make me so happy when I watch them and always put me in a good mood. You guys should go to Switzerland or France!
The people are so friendly in Barcelona and I felt very safe. My boyfriend and I visited a year ago and enjoyed the culture. I was able to get by and practice my spanish. I enjoyed getting "lost" in the streets and stumbling across some of our food favorites.

Martina's face when she eats something delicious makes me INSANELY happy. I don't know why. You guys always cheer me up when I'm having a rough day. Definitely a rung on my ladder!
Barcelona was by far one of my favourite travel destinations. I noticed that it was a lot more relaxed and felt less touristy than other popular places I've been to.
Love your videos as always! Next vacation should definitely be in south of France (less crowded and more a hidden gem than the traditional Paris). I've been there for a few months a few years ago and the food, the people, the sights... I mean, if you loved the chocolate croissant in Barcelona, your mind will be blown by those in France!
Portugal is small? Then how long would you drive from Lisbona to Porto? I always thought I have to choose one of those two when vsiting, can I shoot two birds with one stone on my Portugal vacay? Very curious.
@@lauralanthalasa7 Totally! The drive from Lisbon to Porto is around 3 hours, 3.5 hrs maximum. There are also trains (with more or fewer stops) that take around the same time. You can also stop midway in Aveiro (costal area) or Coimbra (the oldest university in Portugal).
Thank you for helping build my ladder today, bringing back good memories of visiting Spain when I was younger. My postpartum is getting better but I still have those days. All the support from the nasties when I commented on Instagram about postpartum depression made me so happy
OMG!!! People don’t know what they’re talking about!!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤Kalamari is one of my favorites especially the little squid 🦑 legs?! It’s the crunchier part and just soo delicious 🤤 ❤️ 💕
Next year: Greece! I live vicariously through you guys (and I'm also half Greek planning to one day visit the motherland and need to know cool places to hit up).
*knows Swiss food culture isn't as exciting as other European countries but I live there and want to see Simon and Martina* COME TO SWITZERLAND!! The cheese and chocolate is genuinely awesome and the old towns and mountains are stunning
Great video! So happy to see you guys back. My fiancé and I used your channel while traveling Japan and we had an absolute blast. Hope things are well for you both. Cheers!
I went to Edinburgh, Scotland for my honeymoon last year and it was beautiful. Scotland might not be known for their food, but if you were in love with the architecture in Barcelona you will adore Edinburgh. There are castles, and underground alleyways, and old churches. :)
We absolutely LOVED Barcelona when we went a few years ago for Chris's birthday. You have reminded me of so many good memories. We will have to go back :)
I been hyPED Since the live stream !! Love you two both so much I'm glad you was able to have some time healing and eating some delicious new food !! TIME TO GET NASTY IN BARCELONA LEGGO 💖
Hi Martina - I've been watching you guys for ages and just finally got my own hEDS diagnosis. I'm having a terrible day with an awful reaction to a medication prescribed for POTS and I just LOVE that I can watch one of your videos to cheer myself up. Thanks Zebra, for making this EDS that little bit easier xx
@@eatyourkimchi now the debate it the pickled herring in the wine sauce or sour cream? My answer is both lol. Also, we mainly eat it on mew new years for good luck but idk anyone else who does that!
Simon, I had entirely forgotten about Buckley's. I was sick a lot as a kid and that was the only thing that worked. It wasn't the worst cold medicine I've had, but it definitely left a memory of it into my taste buds until the end of time.
I leave for Spain on 10/12 and found your video this morning and I have added your stops to my must try list. Also, I LOVE that you have donut earrings wtf! lol That's awesome.
Hey guys! I seriously love watching your videos, but I got to admit I love the food ones the best (being a foodie myself), and because it is just amazing to see you guys so excited about it, makes me really happy!! Also I think is time you finally come to Croatia!! It is a small country but the view is amazing, the people are nice and the food is unbelievable!!! I hope i will see you next year here!😁🍾🍾💗
You don't have to convince us to go to Croatia: we really want to go! Martina's Croatian, and she went there a long time ago. It's time for us to go back :D
Saved in my WATCH LATER folder. I truly loved this video and the foodand buildings look spectacular 😀. If everything goes to plan I'll be back on this very video in the future while on my way there hopefully with my love♥️.
If you ever get the opportunity to return to Spain, and I really hope you do, try visiting the south of Spain. Its a stunning mountainous landscape with some of the most amazing beaches and food (including that paella you mentioned and the most AMAzing tapas culture). I'm really happy that Europe has been such an interesting/enjoyable place for you two to visit and I hope you continue to explore. As an aside I've observed that a lot of north American/Canadian culture seems to be somewhat homogeneous. I imagine in part thanks to the pillaging of whatever native culture there was, and the huge emphasis on the collective "american" identity. New York and Las Vegas are certainly different, and natives to the state can differentiate between themselves and their neighbours, the huge amount of culture that has been allowed to flourish in Europe has resulted in a huge amount going on in very tiny countries. If you ever go to the UK its very obvious that a few miles can result in an almost unrecognisable accent and a gargantuan amount of local history, the UK is a lot more than overpriced coffee and the Queen as London seems to suggest, so to anybody reading this I'd very much suggest visiting the lake district/welsh valleys/Scottish highlands as they are some of the most beautiful landscapes I've ever had the pleasure of viewing.
You should check out Prague. From what my roomates said it has fantastic beer, food and architecture! A castle famed for being the inspo for Hamlet's castle anyone?! Yaaas plz. Also a long time fan. Been with yall from the start! Love you nasties!
I was in Barcelona for 3 days back in 2014, it was part of a bigger trip that covered London and Paris too! It was absolutely beautiful and though I didn't explore the food too much the architecture was amazing!
First : Next year, go to Iceland *__* food is amazing, everything is extra amazing Also : Martina : sells Vermouth to me like a fckn queen even tho I don't rly like alcohol and I'm like wow seems delish kinda Simon : destroys the hell out of any good idea I ever formulated in my brain about Vermouth lmao Good job simon

A few years ago I went to south England to visit some friends! Brighton Pier has some nice fresh donuts and Hummingbird Bakery in London does cupcakes in a bunch of flavours like Twizzler and lavender
Mettte Clausen Yes! And I just know Martina would love to go strawberry picking in the summer, also there’s barely any hills so it’s also an easy place for her to travel too ❤️
I just watched your channel for the first time. You guys are hilarious in a good way. Love your interaction with each other. The editing is spot on. Can't wait to watch more of you.
Welcome to our channel! Not all of our videos are like this one. Our next one is on how to make Japanese pudding (we live in Japan by the way) but we do food guides like this from time to time :)
I'm so happy to see you guys! Martina I hope you're happy and building your ladder. For the post couple of months I felt down, like mentally, no joy whatsoever in my work and everyday life. @@atmapanda Thanks for the tips! I need to start planning my portugal extravaganza.
@@lauralanthalasa7 You're welcome! Happy planning and I hope you have a great time when you visit Portugal ;)
Go to Canary Islands!! (Also Spain but geographically Africa and food is soooo different!)
Great video guys!!! The editing, the shots, the music! Love!
Thank you for helping build my ladder today, bringing back good memories of visiting Spain when I was younger. My postpartum is getting better but I still have those days. All the support from the nasties when I commented on Instagram about postpartum depression made me so happy
For some reason it makes me happy every time you call paella "payeya"
OMG THEY ARE VISITING MY CITY !!!! I DIDN'T SAW YOU GUYS😭😭 and glad that you liked Barcelona ❤😘 plss come back again so I can meet you guys!!
OMG!!! People don’t know what they’re talking about!!! 🤤🤤🤤🤤Kalamari is one of my favorites especially the little squid 🦑 legs?! It’s the crunchier part and just soo delicious 🤤 ❤️ 💕
You guys look absolutely amazing!!! We welcome you back with warm hugs and a lot of love~♡♡♡♡♡
Thank you for letting us come back :)
Next year: Greece!
I live vicariously through you guys (and I'm also half Greek planning to one day visit the motherland and need to know cool places to hit up).
*knows Swiss food culture isn't as exciting as other European countries but I live there and want to see Simon and Martina*
COME TO SWITZERLAND!! The cheese and chocolate is genuinely awesome and the old towns and mountains are stunning
Want them to come to uk 😡
Love you both so much. Stay strong!
Great video! So happy to see you guys back. My fiancé and I used your channel while traveling Japan and we had an absolute blast. Hope things are well for you both. Cheers!
Oh that’s great! I’m glad our videos were useful :)
I think it would be really cool to see you guys go to Scotland or Germany
I went to Edinburgh, Scotland for my honeymoon last year and it was beautiful. Scotland might not be known for their food, but if you were in love with the architecture in Barcelona you will adore Edinburgh. There are castles, and underground alleyways, and old churches. :)
We absolutely LOVED Barcelona when we went a few years ago for Chris's birthday. You have reminded me of so many good memories. We will have to go back :)
Finally part of the Notification Squad with the Nasties!!!
Yes! You're part of the best squad, if you didn't know :D
@@eatyourkimchi It feels more like the only squad and I love it!!!
I been hyPED Since the live stream !! Love you two both so much I'm glad you was able to have some time healing and eating some delicious new food !!
TIME TO GET NASTY IN BARCELONA LEGGO 💖
I'd love to see y'all romp around Britain or Ireland :') or maybe even the Netherlands??
I love making food and watching these. It's like eating with you guys, even if your food is on another level
Im polish from Chicago and pickled herring is my shit damn it! Lol
Hahaha. Good. I’m glad you know!
@@eatyourkimchi now the debate it the pickled herring in the wine sauce or sour cream? My answer is both lol. Also, we mainly eat it on mew new years for good luck but idk anyone else who does that!
Only wine sauce for me!
Pickled herring is the food to eat during Carnaval. I love it with mayonnaise.
Simon,
I had entirely forgotten about Buckley's.
My buddy is going next week too. Say hi if you see him! 😅
You know it's a good day when you come back from school and a video from you guys is just waiting to be watched!
This Channel and Sortedfood, some of my favorite foodie channels ever. So wholesome and mouth watering
I waited all day to watch this video and it was so worth it.
I love how happy Martina is throughout this entire video. All that ladder building is worth it. :)
Barcelona is one of my favourite cities... in the world. I had such a magical and wonderful time there.
Prague! It’s such a pretty city !
16:52 Thanks to you guys playing this song in most of your latest videos, it is always going to be stuck in my head
I was in Barcelona for 3 days back in 2014, it was part of a bigger trip that covered London and Paris too! It was absolutely beautiful and though I didn't explore the food too much the architecture was amazing!
You guys deserve more and more subs😊
It's 2 am and just about to go to bed. **ding** *Simon and Martina have uploaded a new video*
Me: :D
First :
Next year, go to Iceland *__* food is amazing, everything is extra amazing
Also :
Martina : sells Vermouth to me like a fckn queen even tho I don't rly like alcohol and I'm like wow seems delish kinda
Simon : destroys the hell out of any good idea I ever formulated in my brain about Vermouth lmao
Good job simon
I'm so thrilled to see you both trying to find the best joys of life in taste. You deserve every bite.
totally obsessed i went to barcelona a year ago and absolutely loved it and this video slapped me in the face with the feels
Hey Simon and Martina!!! Love your videos!!!! I love Spanish food too and I think it’s awesome you try foods from different cultures! You guys should go to Paris next and go to the bakery that’s also in miraculous ladybug!!!! Sorry not sorry for nerding! Also looking forward to your diet videos. Love you guys!!! I hope you see this!!!
Yayy I had just finished watching your Amsterdam video!! :)
Greece!! You should go to Greece! Martina can dress up as a goddess! (She's already one) and Simon as a gladiator!
I think the fact that we all refer to you guys as “you guys” just speaks to how much we all adore you two! 🥰 A term of endearment! Look through the comments and you will notice it. 😅
A few years ago I went to south England to visit some friends! Brighton Pier has some nice fresh donuts and Hummingbird Bakery in London does cupcakes in a bunch of flavours like Twizzler and lavender
Come over to Belgium!!!!!
Sounds like a plan!
Came to Denmark, we have fantastic food here🇩🇰🇩🇰
Mettte Clausen Yes! And I just know Martina would love to go strawberry picking in the summer, also there’s barely any hills so it’s also an easy place for her to travel too ❤️
Where does Simon shop for his clothes? They're always awesome.
But I thought "I have to get through my feelings, see what causes it and just find things that make me happy and be able to look forward to next week, day, month whatever"
