Great advice here. One of the things I like most about these tutorials is that they focus on traditional drawing style. It’s hard to find stuff on RUclips that isn’t manga/fantasy style! Thank you!
after being stuck for a while on finding inspirations and reference ideas I just ended up here and I think you changed my life. great job. I may also buy your full course, looks amazing. thanks so much!
After 6 months of regular drawing practice, I discovered toned paper. Artists such as Turner used toned paper sketchbooks. It's great to be able to show highlights and dark tones on paper using a soft graphite and white pastel pencil. Clay-toned paper is warmer than the grey but both work really well.
this is actually pretty useful to a lot of people. I'm sort of on the intermediate level on my skills and i kinda knew the 1st one already, but the other 2 are some interesting mindsets i can apply to my drawing. tnx!

great advice and short, sweet, and to the point. I haven't seen any sketch books that have grey or mid tone colors. Most are cream colored. Is that close enough? Usually sketch in a Mole Skin pad.

Fantastic teaching. Love this channel.
Drawing is about taking knowledge and applying it to your observations. This comes before applying mediums. It's just that simple.
Thank you for the tips. Gonna try them out on the very next drawing I make! :D
I love this Channel now, people will always tell you to draw from life, but never tell you how, this channel tells you how
What paper are you using to draw the elephant? I’ve been trying to find it for awhile
