Not sure if anyone has said before, but once you have a rainbow or double rainbow and moon or blue moon dragon in the Rift, you can start mixing and matching these in the breeding cave for _tons_ of different types of dragon. During the bring ‘em back events this also breed limited edition dragons, you don’t have to buy them all from eggs! :3

I used to play dragonvale about 9 years ago and am just now coming back into the game. this video helped understand the rift stuff since its all new to me. and the video is actually well made and entertaining while still being informational. I didn't like the rift at first because I didn't understand it. This makes it pretty clear. I will add that I have gotten several of my rift dragons by putting them on my wish list. I usually stop breeding at 2500 cost, (because I am impatient), lol. Thank you for the tips. I am sharing your video!!

I got the Snowsquall, Wunderspore, and the Voltaic from the Roar of the Rift event and those dragons helped me thrive in the Rift. Without them, I would be stumped.
This is great. It's the strategy I started when the rift came out - and it does take a while to build up, but at the end of the winter event, I was breathing fire - for the first time EVER (after years of playing). Breeding in the rift is a huge help. My rift is a bit more organized that yours, even though it was packed tight - I did it by color, and clustered my habitats in groups of 4. Btw, you did an awesome job making the video, too - great production, fun to watch.

My rift dragons look jacked up. I don't know what's wrong since a few of them look right but most I can't tell what type of dragon they are. The earth trait ones are nothing but blobs of brown.
Wait, are all dragons available to be bred in the rift? For example can you breed dragons that are. Currently not in season or able to bee bred outside of the rift??
Are the egg mystery, rare egg of mystery, epic egg of mystery, gem egg of mystery and monolith egg of mystery permanently in the rift market or are they only available within a period of time?
epic dragons generate more etherium, if possible getting two monolith or snowflake dragons is recommended because you can breed more epic dragons constistently
Do you think it's a great idea to keep a ton of crappy dragons just to produce a lot of enthrium (idk how to spell it) or save those island spots for new dragons.
Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold it. First of all on the dragon prices, I KNOW, RIGHT!? It's RIDICULOUS! And otherwise, I thought you were gonna say that the only thing standing in our way...is the park level required to UNLOCK it! I'm still stuck at level 23! I need level 28 to get access to the Rift, and one of my daily prizes a few weeks ago? That just HAD to be a NEOTERIC egg, which I have to wait until level 25, just for them to GIVE IT TO ME! Seriously!? Couldn't it have been, oh I don't know, THE DIAMOND DRAGON!? Or perhaps a dragon, that my park was already at a high enough level to have unlocked!? No! Why would they do THAT? That would be GENEROUS! It's always so hard to get more experience points, just from hatching dragons as well as buying decorations and other stuff. YEESH!
some things like the price of coin donations and etherium given from the airship are a lot cheaper now, this is outdated. i can't really think of any other changes though.
I dont understand how and why they take up so much food and crystals. When i came back to the game since 2016 i was overwhelmed by the costs of the main rift dragons and their feedings. I did *NOT* expect this 😅

i played back in 2012 and was on and off until 2017 and just barely i got the rift for the first time...
Also if you get an egg and you already have the dragon you get a twin and if you already have the twin you get a twin with a rift trait

Etherium generation is key! Try to breed for double rainbow dragons but every dragon helps!
After you 100% the game you can just sell most of them
