The key way this is achieved? This game is happy; it's simple; it's freedom. You can do whatever you like, without fear of consequences, you're just a boy going around helping people in whatever way you can. Anything can be true. Anything is permitted. Your dreams come to life, and your life becomes part of your dreams. You are unconstrained by the coils of this world, yet this is the world you serve. You can have whatever you like, and everyone can have what they want. It sounds like childhood.
George-Douglas Price That is why Scribblenauts works so well. For me, it’s pure nostalgia because the first several years of PC Gaming for me was punctuated (GET IT?) with this game, and the music truly adds to that, enchanting the memories and experience.
Whenever I hear Scribblenauts music I am reminded of my early years. I recently went back and played through Unlimited and I teared up when I heard the space music. I was so happy to hear this though. It was my favorite song from the game.
+HowardChap I know I am replying a Year after this comment, but I came here just to hear this music once more. I honestly feel the same way. I tear up when I hear most unlimited music, mostly from nostalgia, even though I only played the game in 2014. It's because back in 2014, I had nothing but a Wii U and a DSi. I bought the original Super Scribblenauts on the DSi, and played it and have fun, still have small nostalgia with that as well. It wasn't until I bought Unlimited and got to the title screen, I didn't even want to press start. I immediately teared up listening to the music. after it was over, I clicked start, tutorial, etc. It was the best game I ever played. Teaching me a lot of things. Most of the time progressing through the game, I just relaxed and listened to the great music, and got back to the game after a minute or two. I lived in the apartment then, and Unlimited was the game I played the most out of all the games I owned. It's not addicting, and it's extremely fun. I felt emotions through the game as well, seeing Lillie turn to stone, I wanted to progress even more. Explore even more. Learn even more. Experience the game. I'm sorry if you had to read all this, if you even did, I just wanted to talk about this to someone.
Hi!!! Here’s a tip for people who have the Mega Pack on Switch: If you’re in handheld mode you can go in the settings of the game selection and turn on touch controls so you can type on the keyboard instead of using the rotary phone looking thing. The touch controls also work for the object editor, but if you play it docked then it’ll switch back to the original setting of buttons only but turn them back on when you play in handheld. I got super mad when I just figured this out and I was like 3/4th done with the game 🥲

some people dislike David's music, for some reason. David J. Franco is super talented, how can you hate work? (Maybe some people find it too melodic??)
Nostalgia: ambivalence (contrasting emotions: in this case happiness and sadness) caused by exposure to something from the past, bringing up supposedly joyful memories while simultaneously experiencing the pain of knowing that such moments are gone. This game is excellent as nostalgia: happy, whimsical, and overall innocent. The music artist for this game is a genius with nostalgia, which is believed to be one of the most powerful but hardest emotions to evoke through art. He does it amazingly.
I think this music was based on the main theme for Scribblenauts. :O I think a lot of the Unlimited music is somehow similar to music from the original Scribblenauts. The main theme of Unlimited is the most obvious. I liked the piece of music that the Unlimited theme is based on!
That's it! You got it, that's exactly the feeling the game wants to share trought the music. And again as we say, it does it in the most perfect way it could. The nostalgia in this game is not caused by the memories of the childhood, but for the childhood itself.
Exactly, most of the music causes me nostalgia in this game, even when this game has nothing to do with my past, it brings me so much things to mind... So much good things, which makes me sad. It's truly a genuine peace of art
I thought I was the only one who get the feeling of being happy and sad at a time when listening to this... is like when you cry not for sadness, but for joy ;__;
I love this. My sister and her (then) Boyfriend brought this game and I just didnt wanna stop playing. Loved it. Best thing ever. Spawned a Unicorn and everything. Maybeeeee we did some evil things too, oopsie, but hey, you can do everything in this game right?
Wow this is awesome (: its really nice to listen to, but it also makes me sad :/ when i hear this im thinking about old times and love from a person that i miss. Damn good piece of music.

Raj Thakureena how do you hate Scribblenauts. I am guessing you hate undertale too. Not surprised if you hate it. If you hate Scribblenauts your forced as a undertale hater. This is the Internet. It's like the thing or be hated. Unless it's that certain type of anime. Anime sucks.
