I was a weird kid. After school, I'd sit down and open up mii maker on my Wii u. I'd make miis for hours on end, and I eventually had to start deleting miis, that's how many I had. When I heard this song in a music video, it spoke to me. I didn't immediately recognize it, but I knew it was familiar. Thank you Nintendo.

I remember waiting for my Wii U the day I got it. It was one of those dark and cloudy rainy days, my mom was making cookies, we had the fireplace lit. The inside of the home was warm, which contrasted with the windy and wet outside greatly. It felt like Christmas even though it was June. The UPS lady came by, I signed for the package and ran inside as fast as I could. I got the Wii U all set up and I vividly remember this song. I was making my Mii's while eating cookies, waiting for Windwaker to finish downloading. Truly a great memory.

Wii U could be an awesome console like Wii but they just failed with tablet based controler. In 2010-11 tablets were really popular but when Nintendo in 2012 made Wii U "hype" for them was reaaaaly low because it was just old technology that every one knew and it wasnt anything special for everyone. But they did good with Switch, right...?

The Wii U officially died with the death of MiiVerse, and now the announcement of the end of 3DS and Wii U Eshop is the final goodbye. I’ll miss the hundreds of hours I spent on that console 😭

There's this sorta thing about the music and the theme in the Nintendo consoles that sparks me so much joy. It has this frutiger aero influence but not quite all of it, it's like Universal Wi-Fi Comfortable videogame lobby, and that's what it is, really. Whenever I listen to the Wii and DS music I can only recall the most beautiful memories from my childhood and teenage years.
I remember when i got my WiiU, it was Christmas and i was like 9 or 10 smth think even 13 years old (im 20 now, how time flies 😂) i had Nintendoland, Mario 3D World, and i still remember playing amazing games, Pikmin 3, Smash Bros WiiU, Splatoon 1, Mario Maker, Zelda Wind Waker, Hyrule Warriors, or just watching RUclips for my whole 2 hour Time Limit my grandma gave me, hell if i did good in school that day she would give me an extra hour, god i miss the WiiU.
My Wii U was literally my childhood. I used to make Miis with my friend all the time. We had so much fun laughing while making the funniest Miis we could. Now I’m getting a job and in college and realize how much fun I had when I was a kid playing my Wii U.

I remember getting my Wii U on Christmas Day of 2015 (yeah I was late to the party). I got the Mario Kart 8 Bundle with its dlc and NSMBU+ Luigi U. One of my favorite memories and one I will cherish for the rest of my life.

It's 2015, a weird 5 year old sits in front of his TV. He turns it on and what he does is create random weird miis, he just loved it. Three years later when he had his switch, his Wii U was sold. I have an intense love for the Wii U. It was the last day of school when I got it. I would leave primary (sixth grade in Honduras) and it meant a lot for my parents, so, as a surprise, my dad called my mom and told her that he had to ask me a question. He said "what's the name of that thing you want?" and, of course, I said it was the Wii U. He said he'd try to buy it in the next few months, that he promised to do so. I was happy to know that at least I could be sure that I'd have it in my hands one day, so my day went by like any other. Hours later, like around 6 p.m, when my dad arrived from work, rain poured down and I was doing nothing, relaxing in that special day, knowing I would travel outside my country for the first time, get to see family, get to rest, and so many more good things that were to come during that summer break. But then it happened. My dad came in laughing like Santa Claus, and, on his hands, a huge box covered in a semi transparent, white plastic bag. I could see Mario through it. I remember how happy I was. I opened the thing like a maniac, and indeed, it was the Wii U, with MK8 + DLC included (I was so happy, I threw the DLC card to the trash, unknowingly. Wouldn't care until three years later, when I reflected back on it). Thank you, Wii U. I bought so many games, and enjoyed every single one of them like I have never enjoyed anything else in life. It was more than just playing. I felt alive anytime I heard that hard drive spin, and, after it, the music. This music. It was an experience.

Man... what good memories this song brings. When i first got my wii u, it was the last 2 years of its lifespan. I bought the smash splat deluxe version, and i got hooked right away. Smash was smash, i knew i was gonna love it from what i played before, but splatoon was a magical experience. I did NOT expect to like it as much as i did... even if it took me time to even play online. However, before any of that... i made sure to make miis for my entire family... both in advance for smash 4 and just out of tradition. Throughout that time, i just... wow... i fell in love with this song so much, you dont understand... I make sure to play this every time i make a mii on switch, it was that damn impactful. Even though the switch is thriving right now, and isnt going away anytime soon, i will never forget the glorious memories the wii u has given me. Thank you, nintendo.

I need to get something off my chest. I was born in the Wii 3DS Wii U era and I loved the heart and joy Nintendo had making games. They gave us life with Mii’s and made these beautiful songs. They made funny little mii games like Nintendo land, Tomodachi Life, Wii sports, Wii freaking Fit. When the switch came it felt like they sucked the soul out. They made the Mii’s just a bonus feature and the whole console just felt more to compete and less for Nintendo charm. Please bring it back.

I’m pretty sure this was around December in 2015 but most likely 2014. My dad told me a bit before (maybe like a week or two at most) that he had a surprise for me. A couple days or weeks later, I wake up to my parents setting up the Wii U, telling me they are not ready yet. It came with mk8 and Nintendo land. I loved that thing. Xenoblade chronicles x was great. I also remember Minecraft for the Wii U and getting into arguments with online friends, and unfriending and refriending them. Such a great era. Would take this over Xbox one and ps4 any day. Not much innovation, but still a great and memorable console. The switch will probably never have as much nostalgia.

This music is the best, even though I heard this in 2017 it still gives me so much nostalgia and it's such calm music and everything. You just feel like you have nothing to worry about in life because you're full of happiness and you are safe and calm with everything inside you where the bad memories go away and you just feel 100% great inside and outside. This might have been the most beautiful music I've heard in my entire life, I just miss and love this song way too much in my heart.

(take time to read this) this song gives me a feeling of nostalgia i cant describe. i remember waking up at 5-6 am with my brother to play wii u with my brother and music like this is one of the factors that made the experience so fun. we used to play amazing games that will stick with me forever (like nintendo land and super mario 3d world and wii party u) it makes me extremely sad to see this go and having the experience with the switch is still great but it doesnt give me the same type of feeling i used to get playing on the wii u. There's this sorta thing about the music and the theme in the Nintendo consoles that sparks me so much joy. It has this frutiger aero influence but not quite all of it, it's like Universal Wi-Fi Comfortable videogame lobby, and that's what it is, really. Whenever I listen to the Wii and DS music I can only recall the most beautiful memories from my childhood and teenage years.

I remember when i got my WiiU, it was Christmas and i was like 9 or 10 smth think even 13 years old (im 20 now, how time flies 😂) i had Nintendoland, Mario 3D World, and i still remember playing amazing games, Pikmin 3, Smash Bros WiiU, Splatoon 1, Mario Maker, Zelda Wind Waker, Hyrule Warriors, or just watching RUclips for my whole 2 hour Time Limit my grandma gave me, hell if i did good in school that day she would give me an extra hour, god i miss the WiiU.
My Wii U was literally my childhood. I used to make Miis with my friend all the time. We had so much fun laughing while making the funniest Miis we could. Now I’m getting a job and in college and realize how much fun I had when I was a kid playing my Wii U.
i didn't grow up with the best living situations, (i grew up in my grandma's house for about 3 years) and we no longer had our wii, but my abuela surprised me for christmas with a wii u. i'll never forget how much fun i had on just dance, and splatoon.
i remember vividly when someone said "WHAT ARE THOSEEEEE" to my shoes in splatoon, good times.

It's 2015, a weird 5 year old sits in front of his TV. He turns it on and what he does is create random weird miis, he just loved it. Three years later when he had his switch, his Wii U was sold. The Wii U was my first console and brings so many cool memories, Switch just feels like an space hole without music and that stuff on its menu.

RIP Miiverse, I was very fond of the Wii U it even had video chat with friends. And I remember being 8 or 9, downloading the Zombie U demo being scared shitless. Wii U, always been good to me.

I have an intense love for the Wii U. It was the last day of school when I got it. I would leave primary (sixth grade in Honduras) and it meant a lot for my parents, so, as a surprise, my dad called my mom and told her that he had to ask me a question. He said "what's the name of that thing you want?" and, of course, I said it was the Wii U. He said he'd try to buy it in the next few months, that he promised to do so. I was happy to know that at least I could be sure that I'd have it in my hands one day, so my day went by like any other.
Hours later, like around 6 p.m, when my dad arrived from work, rain poured down and I was doing nothing, relaxing in that special day, knowing I would travel outside my country for the first time, get to see family, get to rest, and so many more good things that were to come during that summer break. But then it happened. My dad came in laughing like Santa Claus, and, on his hands, a huge box covered in a semi transparent, white plastic bag. I could see Mario through it. I remember how happy I was. I opened the thing like a maniac, and indeed, it was the Wii U, with MK8 + DLC included (I was so happy, I threw the DLC card to the trash, unknowingly. Wouldn't care until three years later, when I reflected back on it).
Thank you, Wii U. I bought so many games, and enjoyed every single one of them like I have never enjoyed anything else in life. It was more than just playing. I felt alive anytime I heard that hard drive spin, and, after it, the music. This music. It was an experience.

i got a wii u for my birthday. even though it was this year, this gives me a strange wave of nostalgia. so..calming. opening up splatoon, registering amiibo. love the wii u.
Man... what good memories this song brings.
When i first got my wii u, it was the last 2 years of its lifespan. I bought the smash splat deluxe version, and i got hooked right away.
Smash was smash, i knew i was gonna love it from what i played before, but splatoon was a magical experience. I did NOT expect to like it as much as i did... even if it took me time to even play online.
However, before any of that... i made sure to make miis for my entire family... both in advance for smash 4 and just out of tradition.
Throughout that time, i just... wow... i fell in love with this song so much, you dont understand...
I make sure to play this every time i make a mii on switch, it was that damn impactful.
Even though the switch is thriving right now, and isnt going away anytime soon, i will never forget the glorious memories the wii u has given me.

This is such a beautiful, relaxing and peaceful theme. It makes me think of a clean modern home, yoga, loose hamstrings and healthy living. Much better than the wii mii theme.
I need to get something off my chest. I was born in the Wii 3DS Wii U era and I loved the heart and joy Nintendo had making games. They gave us life with Mii’s and made these beautiful songs. They made funny little mii games like Nintendo land, Tomodachi Life, Wii sports, Wii freaking Fit. When the switch came it felt like they sucked the soul out. They made the Mii’s just a bonus feature and the whole console just felt more to compete and less for Nintendo charm. Please bring it back.

I’m pretty sure this was around December in 2015 but most likely 2014. My dad told me a bit before (maybe like a week or two at most) that he had a surprise for me. A couple days or weeks later, I wake up to my parents setting up the Wii U, telling me they are not ready yet. It came with mk8 and Nintendo land. I loved that thing. Xenoblade chronicles x was great. I also remember Minecraft for the Wii U and getting into arguments with online friends, and unfriending and refriending them. Such a great era. Would take this over Xbox one and ps4 any day. Not much innovation, but still a great and memorable console. The switch will probably never have as much nostalgia.
