I never wear shoes at home, my grandparents do so that’s why I mostly have allergy attacks while at their house. The dirt in that place is insane and you can’t even see it.
I'm so happy you made this video! I'm a mother of 4 and I've seen the total collapse of the public school system. They teach NOTHING relevant to what kids need to know to become a functioning person today. If I had to do it all over again, I would home-school all of my children! Great job and keep going!
I agree with the other comments, it looks easy and doable for me. I was going to rent a tile cleaning machine that weighs 80 lbs. and I would have had to pick it up and then take it back. This is much better, thanks 🙏.
I have the exact same tile on my kitchen floor. My biggest regret is the light color. I bought a oreck orbiter commercial floor scrubber because of the Sq. Ft of the kitchen. The grout lines is the hardest to clean so it’s done manually. You can’t really mop rough ceramic or porcelain tiles and expect a very clean surface. You have to scrub the tile with a medium or hard scrubber.
I have similar texture style but ours are definitely outdoor tiles. No matter how often I mop or scrub the floors it's always dirty. I actually even threw buckets of bleach filled water on it and used an outdoor brush to scrub it. Was very clean for the guts of an hour and then dirty again
Question- what sort of long handle brush R U using? I purchased one with extremely Hard black bristles and it is a nightmare- I cant wait to see your grout video TY so much
I came back to say I'm literally awe struck at how much less shiny my tiles are (likely from barefoot grease removal ~ GROSS!) & that I had to drain the sink water THREE times! I mopped over the cleaned floor with clear water & still pulled up dirt! My entire house is just 1000 sqft. While the kitchen is good sized, it isn't that hard to clean. To sweep & mop the kitchen + 2 full baths, it normally takes me under 20 minutes. To sweep, scrub w/Scrubbing bubbles using the Gorilla deck brush & mop it up with an O Cedar microfiber mop: 1 1/2 HOURS! Hopefully the next time it won't take as long. This was definitely not as easy as you made it look but well worth the end result. I don't see a huge difference in the color of the tiles (they are off white & swirled to look like natural tile) again, the shine is gone & I feel the difference when walking on them now. The tile dried incredibly quick using this method vs my grubby sponge mop. Probably because I actually broke through the dirt so water wasn't just standing on top. UGH! I disposed of my grubby sponge mop because I'm pretty sure it just swished the dirt equally over my floors so I didn't realize how dirty they were. I'm pretty embarrassed that your method worked so incredibly well. I used 3/4 of a bottle of Scrubbing Bubbles so for those with a "full size" house, invest in a second bottle just in case. It's better to have it & not need it than to have 1/2 a clean floor. Plus, you can use it next time! Thank you for sharing trade secrets. Now I'm on to the grout & you can bet I'll be sealing it afterward!
thanks for this video! we just got a house and the builders ruined my kitchen floor. this tip restored them and made them look sparkling.. just like it did when they were put down
Is there any particular reason you chose a string mop? I came across your channel 3-30-24. I have never used scrubbing bubbles. Does it leave the tiles sticky? Thanks for the suggestion.
I tried this with scrubbing bubbles and it worked. I had some dust from removing some old tile, the dust settled on my previous tile cause an dust film. I mopped and there was the film still there.

This is great video. Thanks for the explanation. What brand or style bristles do you use in the brush used in the video? That would be the first place I need to start. I already have the Scrubbing Bubbles so I'm 1/2 way to clean! Thanks again for a great video.
Will any deck brush work as well? The link is going to a different one that isn't available. I did a floor like this on my hands and knees last year and would like to avoid that again, thanks.
Looks like you had to use quite a bit of "elbow grease" and manual labor to get that floor clean. Is that correct? How long did it take? I have white ceramic tile in my kitchen. I must mop that thing 4X a day, and it STILL doesn't get completely get clean. I always do the wet paper towel test after cleaning the floor---I wipe my just cleaned floor in one spot with a wet paper towel and the paper towel is dirty. To the naked eye, it looks clean, but I know it is not. I have to sweep it, vacuum it, mop it and then steam it. Then it passes the wet paper towel test. I just can't DO THAT every single day. My kitchen is huge. I think I am ready to downsize.🥺
Not too much elbow grease. You just let the cleaner and the deck brush do the work. But always make sure you give the cleaner time to dwell and loosen up the soil first before you scrub it with the deck brush.
I’ve found that using the wrong mop can keep your tile looking dirty. Tile of that type has lots of nooks and crannies that collect a ton of dirt. Using a flat mop will push dirt into them and into the grout lines. A string mop or a mop like the Libman will help pick up more of the dirt. Your floors will get cleaner and look better.
I moved into an apartment with unsealed ceramic tiles a few months ago. I’m pretty young and had never lived in a space with all over ceramic tile like this. When we first moved in, the grout was clean but very crumbly and was not removed from the tiles properly. The splotches of grout have been damn near impossible to get out and are now just gray. Our floors always look dirty now 😭 they’re so difficult to clean. Now our tiles are also completely missing grout in some spaces because it has crumbled away.... is this our fault for not cleaning properly? Or we’re our tiles just not properly installed?

@@nrblough basically you will get the tile floor really wet with your cleaning concoction, use the deck brush to scrub a little, then mop up all the dirty water👍
I have a question. Had a horrible tenant and he left my tile damn near almost black (unsealed naturAl travertine) do you think this would work? I’ve been using dish soap and water for hours. HELP!
Wow, sounds like you're in a pickle. First off you probably should got easy on the water. If they are unsealed they will soak that water up like a sponge and potentially create mold. Secondly, I recommend you contact your manufacturer from this point and ask them directly what you need to do in this situation. There are different types of travertine and I don't want to give you the wrong information. They make cleaners specifically for travertine and maybe your manufacture can direct you to the proper one. I plan to make some travertine videos here in the future.
Clean With Confidence thanks! Yes, I used a dime sized amount of clear / I scented dish soap with water, but only enough to dampen my sponge and scrub, then blow dry with a towel. So I wasn’t full on mopping and or soaking the tiles

The joys of dog ownership in the winter. Was gonna do the grout today too following your other video but I’ll have to save it for another day. It wore me out. Lol!
Ha! That’s wild. Next time I recommend you slop mop. I have a video about how to mop and in the video I discuss slop mopping. I recommend you check that out.🙂
@@CleanWithConfidence Thanks, I’ll check it out!
So I wasn’t full on mopping and or soaking the tiles
wondering which spray he has used
