Svbony has simply upped their game significantly and at an affordable price! I still am impressed by the quality too! Oh and I really like the style they use too! Not blinding bright red! Thanks for the review and clear skies!
I'm very excited to see SVBony get into the more advanced cameras. I think I'd hold off on this for the time being though as 1: the banding has been an issue for some so it'll be good to see if SVBony can address that, and 2: It's quite an oversight that they didn't put some USB connections on the camera for filter wheels and so on. Hopefully SVBony will add some in newer models. Both are fairly minor issues though, I'm glad SVBony are rising in folks estimations, they make some great kit at a decent price.
Interesting video. I also saw the SVbony (manual) filter wheel in the background. How is your opinion on that after practical application? (I did not find any electronic SVbony filter wheel unfortunately. Is there no?). Ah, and another thing: Is the SVbony mono camera supported by N.I.N.A. as well? Clear skies
Great review and great camera. I second that, banding calibrates out so far for me. I'm yet to test it on dark nebula as there will be probably the most of banding visible but on brighter objects no issues at all
Nice review seems to be a pretty decent camera how's it add up price wise to more expensive brands? Nice to see your rig on an NEQ6 used to own one myself great mounts. Clear skies
I had a quick question when it comes to light pollution filters. Is the post processing in DSS, or photoshop and different with or without a filter? I used a light pollution filter for the first time the other night, and a lot of things started to go wrong in the post processing that never happened before. Wasn’t sure if it had something to do with the filter, or if it was just a coincidence. Thanks
Hello. Always like your videos. Very nice and to the point videos. I have a question regarding the Banding. I have the 605cc and extreme problems with Banding in my dark but also in my light frames which I cannot calibrate when using my sv 220 Narrow Band filter and extracting Ha and OIII. When i use my l-enhance filter and shooting RGB everything is absolutely fine. My question: which stacking parameters do you use? Regarding the Banding I am in contact with svbony looking for a solution. Thanks again.
Hi, thanks for the comment. Banding is a problem and I have spoken to Svbony about this as well. For me, it's not recommended to use dual band filters on mono cameras. That's why I have been using traditional SHO method. My light frames don't show any banding for some reason. All the frames in the video are single unstacked versions.
@patba3189 Hello. I also encountered the problem with the DNB Filters. I got the one from svbony sv220. When I use the l-enhance it's rather ok. Tried to process my images using Banding reduction in Siril. For some frames it works out fine with others not. I hope to hear from svbony soon. Does the sv ony 405cc have the issues? Does anybody know? Thanks
Hello folks. Quick update on the Banding issue: my camera will be send to svbony China for repairs. So when you having the same issue send it back. That should not happen, especially without using no filter.
Hi. How do you manage the banding? I have a lot of issues with it, it is always in a different place. And with SHO the worst. sometimes the bands are so strong that there is almost no data.
This camera has three problems, the first is that it does not protect well, the second in the images it looks like some kind of stripes and the third is problems with the software when using it on Nina

Great Videos.... Love them All... Very Helpful. Is your tracking mount budget friendly? What do you use?
Banding issue is very bad, some spanish reviewer have some problem. The banding are fixed in position? Have you tried to use some high gain in darks?
My darks were taken with 100 gain. Banding is problematic. It can be resolved but the camera shouldnt do this by default
@@AstroOnBudget can you test it with other gain? I have banding also on my ASI120MM but they are present only on certain gain.
@@ciskje71 Yes I can but it does sound like it has banding issues. Perhaps 100 Gain is the magic spot?

Quick Question…. Is there any way to say take a stacked image and add it onto more data from a later session?

Hi. I have the same issue with the sv605mc mono camera. It is really horrible. Especially when I use it with SHO filters.

Hello @@AstroOnBudget, may I ask if the banding was resolved by svbony? I am considering this camera. Thanks

your sound is only coming through one speaker :(
Oh no 🙄
@@AstroOnBudget why the eyeroll? just pointing it out as when one wears headphones it's quite distracting, love your videos otherwise
confirmed! :(
@@nikaxstrophotography Sorry. It wasn't meant to be rude. To me this emoji represents my frustration :D Sorry, for the miscommunication.
@@ciskje71 Sorry about this. I make sure that this is fixed for the next video.
mmm, maybe I don't buy this camera...
