It makes you wonder how many cars ended up in the scrapyard when with a bit of time and effort they could have been turned around and had many more years of service for someone who can't afford a new one.Great job.
@@SNOUTxTOUT the 'green future' is what they want you to believe, but isn't in any way, shape or form feasible if the industry looks at things like cars as a throwaway product. Which it has become. Cars aren't meant to be repaired and driven around for 30+ years anymore, let alone 10+. Many cars are meant to be driven for 7-10 years and then head to the scrapyard. It's such a pathetic thing. fuck late capitalism and consumerism.
Scrappage schemes (like Cash for Clunkers) force many owners' hands, as does the insurance cartel. Here in Ireland no insurance companies would touch a car like that, unless it was insured as a weekend classic. It's a shame, as these were the kind of cars me and my friends got our licenses and started driving in.
@@kristoffer3000 Capitalism is the word they use but it doesn't really fit the definition. This is total control over the market through government intervention. Number must climb at any cost even if the country is destroyed in the process. The right and left agree on this actually
Absolutely loving this series, found it a few weeks ago and watched them all. I love seeing a normal car that most people would just scrap and seeing it be brought back from the dead to such a high quality. I've recommended the series to so many people 🤣
I loved these Corsa episodes! I personally enjoy it more when someone like you restores a common car for common people instead of restoring expensive cars like a Ferrari or Lamborghini. Greetings from Argentina!
I hope you know The Detail Geek, he sometimes also does some premium/luxury cars but also a lot of normal/average cars, some of them are extremely dirty and were even initially rejected from trade-in.
Brother, Don't compare yourself with other channels that do "disaster details". In my opinion they are total bulls***. You do great work restoring cars that are actually real that many regular people drive in their daily lives. Keep up the good work, your videos are great to watch!
There is currently a complete interior for sale in Denmark for 1000 DDK…so roughly 1600 Sek. I am the happy owner of a Corsa B as well, best little cheap car ever. love your show!
Your mom helping out with the stiching reminds me of my own mom, always happy to help with any ‘stupid’ project I had. Even though she worked full time she was always there. Cherish your (grand)parents while you still have them, they made sacrifices you don’t even know..
This is so good. Most of youtubers are like "restoring cheapest Lambo/Porsche/McLaren" and here is a serie with cute red car. I love Corsa B, got so much good memories with this car.
Hello, I'm from Brazil and the Corsa is very popular and well-known here. I'm loving this series because I have a lot of affection for the car and I'm learning more about it. Keep going
I wish all the junk cars in my country got this type of makeover. You can drive a cheap old car, but that doesn't excuse you from neglecting it. Fantastic job my man!😊
I grew up in the 90's with these type of basic cars. Basic but good-looking ones, light, already secure, helpful, easy to park and maintain. That's a brilliant choice of project. Nice little froggy Corsa is on the move for a lot of kilometres to go, bravo !
Maybe it's not the most perfect restoration, but so far I haven't seen anyone on RUclips who works like this guy. All the best and I hope for new projects. ;)
👏👏👏💯 The final message was the best. "The car will serve for many more years to come" I do think that it is much better to reuse instead of just throwing things to the trash and buy new suff. I do appreciate the work that this guy do and the quality of his videos is amaing. Greetings from Mexico 👋.
Yeah! A new Corsa video. This lovely little thing is going to look & drive better than at its delivery day at the dealership. It's educational and entertaining. Thanks for the upload.
Thanks dude, I've really enjoyed this series. I love seeing "normal" cars getting some love. Hopefully it'll inspire some young people to buy a cheap first car and learn how to work on it.
Best channel, average car restore love it. Have myself a ford fiesta 2007 facelift, i barely get mechanic done, not having a garage or house (building apartament), love to see these videos!
Aaah hell yeah, been waiting for this one 😁 This car could be used in movies/shows that takes place in the late 90s early 2000s now that it looks brand new
That car was a total basket case but once again you’ve rescued it back from the brink with some good old elbow grease. Excellent transformation and I’m sure it will go on to be a good little runaround for someone. Great work and best wishes from Scotland.
Few months ago me and my mom did the same thing in my Volkswagen gol, but we changed the foam of every seat since it was too old, dirty, and smashed from years of use. I think was easier to take all the fabric out of the seat and wash it apart, and doing it that way also made possible to restore a few parts from the seat structure. Loved the video buddy, greetings from Brazil!
Using the chance to be one of the first upon upload to say: YOU ARE A LEGEND! Also, I own one myself, and it just makes me happy to see that little thing look so good again.
Enjoyed watching this little Corsa come back to its former glory again. Also love nineties cars. Great project, lets do another one 👍🏼 thank you for making this video.
It was really entertained during the restoration of this old Corsa. A suggestion to the video, though, you can make a short montage comparing how the car was before and after your work. Again, great videos! Cheers
Really fantastic job. Love the care and effort you put into this restoration. I agree with all the other comments on the video - do more old/cheap cars. Much more satisfying to watch than expensive cars.
Very nice work, what a great transformation for this little Corsa which is now looking and running its best ready to go for another life back on the road. Props to Mum on the sewing, great family effort 💪
I am a fan of the Corsa myself, and seeing the whole process of restoring this car was a very pleasant experience. I liked the way you tackled the project, being thorough but not crossing the boundaries of diminishing returns. I wish I could make this little car mine. I know how to appreciate a clean lived-in vehicle, gives it character. Great job!
Well done , and good job restoring the Corsa with the materials you had. Makes you appreciate the work even more. Hope the new owner will take good care of it. Great series!
Love your channel and the work that you do mate! It's great viewing!! A quick note on the tips for interior cleaning and the question you have about the removing of the paint, I STRONGLY recommend obtaining a good steam cleaner and then applying the steam to those stubborn stains and gunk (like the paint) you want to remove. It's soften them all up and make it much, much easier to remove. Steam cleaning also works really well on interior plastics but you just have to be careful not to apply the heat at any location for too long, just need to find that good balance. Keep up the great work you do!!
We got this car in Mexico as rebadged Chevrolet and renamed Chevy. It was so popular it became it's own thing and was sold along it's second gen which kept the name Corsa but still under Chevrolet. I used to scoff at it when I was young but now, anytime I see one well conserved and cared I remark that it's a good looking car. Also, the current state of the market in the country has brought them back as reliable somewhat cheap options for those who need a car. Although it's hard to find one in near as good condition as yours. Loved the two videos I've watched so far, the detailing ones, and I'd like to do this two my current car, a '18 Toyota Avanza mini-truck. Maybe someday I'll upload the videos of her restoration as well. The ASMR vibe, btw, soothing af.
Wow, great job! I actually owned one until 5 years ago. I loved it for its simplicity and reliability. Did little non-engine repairs, clean ups and some rust patches. But if I had had your mechanical skills, the engine would not have died from overheating after the cooler started leaking heavily.
I have a £300 Skoda Roomster I need to replace the boot lid on, amongst other things just to make it nicer all around, for me and it’s next owner… glad I stumbled on this channel
I loved this series. Appreciate these kinds of cars are probably pretty hard to find these days but I hope you keep searching for them. You are very good at what you do 😊
I really enjoyed this series. The only thing missing were wooden bead seat covers that were so commonly used by Corsa owners back in the day! Other than that, a beautiful build.
Loved this series. Your attention to detail is amazing. That car has gone from worthy of the scrapyard to being almost like new. Can't wait to see your next challenge :)
Super excited for the next project! Thanks for all the Videos, I‘m really enjoying them. I especially appreciate that you‘re giving older cars some much-needed love. Hope this one gets a good owner! :)
What an epic turnover dear friend! Clearly, one of the most satisfying series i've ever seen, what a beautiful story for this "simple" corsa with an happy ending. From the start to the end, stunning results!👏👏👏💪💪
I really like this project and the way you work! You have put all the effort and the attention to details that this little Corsa deserves despite its age. The engine bay looks like brand new and the exterior and interior turn out incredibly well!
Excited as always to get a new video! Awesome result, especially considering how they started. Also your mum did a fantastic job on the seats! Props to her!!
I really love these videos, just binged the series on this car. I'm currently refurbishing my 2004 Passat (perhaps not this thoroughly) and you're inspiring me!
What and absolutely fantastic work! I cannot believe how well you've managed to restore this car. I love to how much detail you go into, honestly it's awe inspiring (taking the rocks out of the tyres gave me a good chuckle) Cannot wait to see more!

Seeing how well the interior cleaned up am gonna get busy in spring 😊
Thank you for taking care of rust and mechanicals just as much as paintwork and interior. Excellent job thank you 👍🏻

Very nice result! You're good!
This model of Corsa was the first car I ever owned - and at the same time, the best car I ever owned. In green though, much better color
Looks great! Cute little car.
