    Vertical storage is just as efficient as vertical gardening. Bungee cords for the pvc is amazing. Still having cool night's here - last frost date is end of May - but I'm planting potatoes today. I've noticed my soil in the raised beds that has been protected by mulch for 2 winters is significantly easier to plant in than the soil that just has 1 winter of protection. Can hardly wait to see how it is with red wigglers in it too.

      Thanks Valerie! Yeah, mulch really helps make the soil nice and soft. Happy potato planting!

    Hi Patrick I love your gardening videos, especially in regards to the edible perennials, and maximizing garden space! What I would love to see is a detailed garden overview - showing where North is in regards to your garden, how you planned it, what you planted with what etc. Perhaps just a drawing of your layout and whats all in your garden? Maybe even a whole house layout showing what you grow in the front yard too! Keep up the great work and the informative videos! Thank you

    Patrick, I remember that you have trellises in summer. Where do you store those in winter? I remove the hoops over my 2 by 1 meter garden beds when it is warm enough and replace them with trellises to facilitate vertical growing. I store my trellises besides my house in winter. How do you do that?

    • @OneYardRevolution
      @OneYardRevolution  6 лет назад

      I meant to show our trellises but I forgot. They're also attached to the fence with bungee cords. I have them all stacked on top of each other on the fence and they take up very little space.

      OYR Frugal & Sustainable Organic Gardening no problem I absolutely love it! man we need to get more people on board with Urban gardening with every kind of gardening that there possibly is that sustainable that's not monoculture that just stops using chemicals and making these curb appeal lawn houses I think food growing should be mandatory and you've done yours just so adorable I had hundreds of Windows and so much collectible things to make my greenhouses and my garden in general enough for a very good hunk of property and I had it all taken away from me. and so right now I'm living vicariously through people like you and I think you're doing a really great job and I would be really proud of I was you! I gardened from the minute I could crawl in the dirt behind my mom and pick the seeds out that she just put in. she wasn't one to know Latin names much but man did she know how to garden and she taught me and I don't always know proper names of things or a lot of things that God would know. but it's just almost like instinct now in my well over 50 years on this planet. you know maybe it is an instinct?! some people just have it more in them than others but I still think it should be mandatory that all the trees on the streets are fruit trees and that all the grass faces for the most part are Gardens and of course we have to have some places for sitting but we don't need as much long as we do. Alright it's very early in the morning here I'm on the west coast and I still haven't fallen asleep I've had some little nod off so I need to and I have a tendency to ramble using voice to text like I am when I wake up. so I should stop now. I'm glad I found you I think I might have had you in the Bell wasn't rung properly
