I think on these Weathered Engines I think where going to see companies do more of Em' and what's neat is the Detail in the Weathering..
    Thanks for showing this Engine Brother Deryk be Safe and I can't wait to see the Next Video... And Christmas 🎄 is just Around the Bend. 🚂🚂🚂🚂

    My first prime for grime was a SP SD39 which I'll reletter to NHL 5319. Utah Railway back in the 80s after killing the ALCo's, then getting the railfans sick of Union Pacific's ubiticus? SD40-2 (like todays ES44AC's, they were everywhere) Utah Railway began buying used power again. They bought second hand SD45s from SP, F45s from BN then the 39s from NHL. While on the Utah, in Utah, Union Pacific needed power real quick for the heavier locals and transfers since they put all of the dash 2s into road service. Besides leasing the SD39s from Utah, they also leased McClouds two SD38s with large standard fuel tanks. So about every Monday I'd drive down to UPs former WP line and at Burmester UP would set out a unit and a caboose for local switching. So you could just imagine what went through my mind when the SD39 came into view with not a SD40-2 in sight! It was the only one to work that local between June 1985 up until the end of December 2019. When it's finished, it should have NHL stenciled on the long hood and above the numberboards just "UPL", UP Leaae.
    Thanks for the demo! I really, really like the Amtrak fantasy locomotive. I just might have to buy one of them.

    DC Modelworks! You have some fantastic locomotives. I can never understand why these locomotives are lighter. The heavier the locomotive, the better the pulling power. I have the latest BNSF ET44C4’s that I bought from scale trains..... previously. These locomotives are considerably much lighter than the one that I bought in 2018. That one I bought in 2018 packed a whole lot of weight with excellent pulling power. However “ I always enjoy seeing your layout videos....... thanks.

    • @DGModelworks
      @DGModelworks  3 года назад +1

      I cannot figure out how they are lighter. It's the same frame. Doesn't make any sense at all. Unless they started using a different alloy of metal?

    • @josephmurrill3644
      @josephmurrill3644 3 года назад +1

      @@DGModelworks That’s what I’m thinking, I will know when I change out the scale trains couplers to the Kadee scale size 153 type short shank couplers. I can also glue any loose parts under the sill of scale trains locomotives. Parts have a tendency to come loose or come off. I also add glue under the steps of my locomotives so that they stay on permanently. I use Gorilla Super Glue Precise Gel for plastic models. I picked some of that up from Walmart. I have some new scale trains NS and BNSF dash 9’s. I was so happy that all the parts were intact.

    Mine was jerky too at the low speed steps, but a half hour of running in each direction took care of it. Unfortunately, it died completely after I put a current keeper in it and now it's back at Athearn.

    • @DGModelworks
      @DGModelworks  3 года назад +1

      Yeah it needed a little run time. Man that sucks to hear about the current keeper situation. Hopefully it gets resolved.

    • @ck5644
      @ck5644 3 года назад

      @@DGModelworks It's a bummer for sure, hopefully it won't take too long to get it back. I put the current keeper in something else and it worked fine so the board must've been bad.
