Bill O'Herlihy and The RTE Panel's surprise message to groom on wedding day.

- I had originally been hired by the couple as their wedding videographer early last year, but this special message was arranged by the Bride (Julie-Ann) and filmed at RTE studios by myself last October on the night of the Ireland v Germany game. We both had to keep this quiet for 6 months until the wedding day on the 26th April 2014!
I literally only had one shot, one chance and one take to get this right, with no rehearsal or script and literally less than 10 minutes before they went live!!
The lads were the consummate professionals, absolute gentlemen. And as for the crew? Just brilliant! I honestly thought that I'd be scorned at when I got there for basically getting in their way and disrupting their extremely tight schedule. But it was the complete opposite, where everyone there was well on board with what I was doing and gave me total support - absolute legends, and I mean that sincerely.
So anyway, may I give the sincerest of thankyous to Messrs. Bill O'Herlihy, Eamon Dunphy, Liam Brady & Johnny Giles, as well
as all the RTE 'The Panel' crew for their assistance in making this.
They were all absolutely epic from beginning to end, and I honestly cannot thank you enough.

Is this what I'm paying my television license for?
Why? What did your television license pay for? The lads did it for nothing and were already there about to go live for the Ireland v Germany game. No RTE staff were involved in it at all apart letting me in to set up MY cameras and recording devices, and I certainly didn't charge anyone for it either, so how exactly did your television license pay for this? Assuming of course, you actually pay for a television license that is.

What was the relationship between the bride or the groom to any member of the panel? Somebody on one side must have known somebody on the other.

Not a single cent! The lads gave up their time for nothing, and I didn't charge anything for the work either - how could I? The opportunity to do it was more than enough for me, so even though the bride asked me how much I wanted for all the work - I told her absolutely nothing: so that is what it cost her! :0)
