JLo sharing all that deeply private correspondence must've felt really disrespectful to Ben. It probably made her a lot less attractive to him. I'd say it made it feel less special. And with the feedback he got "Pen Ben", it would have made him think others didn't see anything so special about his love letters, only that he wrote a lot. And that can hurt. I personally feel JLO was either drunk in love and/or hellbent on cashing out on their love story. But you don't make a love story at the beginning of love, instead you experience it and then tell it at the end. In fact, others would even tell it for you. It seemed to be more important to her to tell a story, create a film and sell it, than being married in real-time, in the moment, and in real life.
Also, it’s such a betrayal! It probably hurt Garner and the kids thinking that he had stayed in touch with her the whole time and kept everything from the past. JLo knew that would hurt JGarner and did it on purpose. That’s twisted. Not to mention embarrassing and humiliating her husband and causing strife among the other people in his life.

Besides, JLO has been in relationships with other people over the years so we can't speak to that. Those love letters were written 20 years ago. I’m not surprised at all that this relationship didn’t work at all, Jane Fonda was completely right. IMO I don't think sharing some letters should be grounds for checking out of a marriage. Yes, it's in very poor taste, but she has always been vocal about him being the love of her life in interviews. I don't think she meant any real harm; I think she shared the letters to show the depth of feelings they had for each other at that time, and that she keep the letters after all these years, which is really romantic. To me, it shows what a great love they had for each other, and there's no shame in that. Ben is also a bit complicated.

There are times when even worse things, or humiliating things happen in a couple's relationship and they find a way to get through it, depending on how bad the issue is. I'm sorry but no. She was so happy and just wanted to show that he really loved her all those years ago when he first selfishly dumped her. She has eclipsed him MANY times over as their net worth evidence! She also worked on herself all those years personally and became a mega star while he just was an unrecovered alcoholic! STILL! He's still just barely phoning it in with his kids! That's to Garner's credit! Lopez just wanted a happy family and a true partner for the rest of her life. 6 to 2 years is the honeymoon period..it requires real work and commitment after that. Ben is a miserable person. Heartbreaking and in front of the whole world. Alex would of loved a documentary and album and concert tour all about their true love. Ben can't even handle his own life. I also think that sharing the letters may have been in really bad taste and an invasion of his privacy, but it's not grounds for checking out of a marriage, especially if he pursued her again after all those years. He also took part in the documentary, yet suddenly he's so uncomfortable with the content; I think Ben is a bit too complicated.

I feel like in Hollywood or famous people 's marriage, the ones that last are the ones that stay out of the public eye as much as they can and the ones that barely share much with the public. I mean, I don't know about everyone else, but I don't share much regarding my marriage in social media. I share things here and there, but not much. Not even crazy I would share letters, texts or emails my husband has ever written to me. That's too much. My mouth dropped when she said she shared EVERY SINGLE love letter and email that Ben ever sent her from 20 years ago to NOW. 😮 Wow, how embarrassing and violated Ben must feel 😮 Those were supposed to be PRIVATE but she put them on display for the world to see??? I'm sure he made himself emotionally vulnerable to her in those letters and she exposed him!!! Why would she do that?!? It really does seem like she's trying to prove something. She was so hurt from the first breakup so she had to "prove" to others that he wanted her but hurt her relationship with him in the process. I'd say it made it feel less special. And with the feedback he got "Pen Ben", it would have made him think others didn't see anything so special about his love letters, only that he wrote a lot. And that can hurt. I personally feel JLO was either drunk in love and/or hellbent on cashing out on their love story. But you don't make a love story at the beginning of love, instead you experience it and then tell it at the end. In fact, others would even tell it for you. It seemed to be more important to her to tell a story, create a film and sell it, than being married in real-time, in the moment, and in real life.
Also, it’s such a betrayal! It probably hurt Garner and the kids thinking that he had stayed in touch with her the whole time and kept everything from the past. JLo knew that would hurt JGarner and did it on purpose. That’s twisted. Not to mention embarrassing and humiliating her husband and causing strife among the other people in his life.

Besides, JLO has been in relationships with other people over the years so we can't speak to that. Those love letters were written 20 years ago. IMO I don't think sharing some letters should be grounds for checking out of a marriage. Yes, it's in very poor taste, but she has always been vocal about him being the love of her life in interviews. I don't think she meant any real harm; I think she shared the letters to show the depth of feelings they had for each other at that time, and that she keep the letters after all these years, which is really romantic. To me, it shows what a great love they had for each other, and there's no shame in that. Ben is also a bit complicated.

I'm sorry but no. She was so happy and just wanted to show that he really loved her all those years ago when he first selfishly dumped her. She has eclipsed him MANY times over as their net worth evidence! She also worked on herself all those years personally and became a mega star while he just was an unrecovered alcoholic! STILL! He's still just barely phoning it in with his kids! That's to Garner's credit! Lopez just wanted a happy family and a true partner for the rest of her life. 6 to 2 years is the honeymoon period..it requires real work and commitment after that. Ben is a miserable person. She spoke of him as her true love in the documentary with Alex ( who was successful and supportive of her and her career and truly there for her and the children...Marc just abandoned all his kids, too). I don't think it's weird at all...she even said it herself, that as an artist she finds inspiration in what she has been through or what she is currently going through. I also think that sharing the letters may have been in really bad taste and an invasion of his privacy, but it's not grounds for checking out of a marriage, especially if he pursued her again after all those years. He also took part in the documentary, yet suddenly he's so uncomfortable with the content; I think Ben is a bit too complicated.
It's just proof that JLo doesn't care about reality. Cant stand Jane Fonda but she was correct in naming her concerns to Jlo. How embarrassing for Ben to have everyone call him Pen Affleck! Those letters and her crazed hunger for publicity 🙄 she really loved him I think and if she had just been private, enjoyed her man and her money, shunning fame..everything would have turned out well.

I'm not really a fan of either, but this actually makes sense that he would be quite pissed that their letters and emails became fodder for her to share with the public. I can see how that relationship would feel inauthentic and like a big show after that. I wouldn't want to be part of that either.

JLo used her marriage for career gain. I just can’t take their love story seriously. Both divorced with cheating scandal and Ben probably wrote her the love letters while married. Not exactly a love story to envy. Definitely not the greatest love story never told. Should have remained never told. 👎

It's sad I was rooting for them, maybe if they've gotten married years ago when they were much younger it could've worked.
Everybody hating on Jennifer forgetting that Ben is a recovering alcoholic, they may have had an agreement about that and he broke it. Just as plausible of an explanation, yet people stick to the media story. He agreed to all of it, if he had an issue with it, then it was him who lied, she never promised to keep media out of her life.
Ben is an honest person, JLO has proven herself time and time again to be dishonest.
She didn't help anyone who was shot during the club shooting case when they say she was Diddys helper.
I'd trust his words quicker than I'd ever trust hers.
