You’re a genius for having us hear “Take part in one of my online production audio classes!” a dozen times!! Also fantastic video.
Repetition
I wonder if he got any new clients from this video ? lol
genius or slimey?
Probably the most helpful and easiest audio fix I've come across. Every other video has you running through so many hoops just to get to this level of audio correction. Great job!
Thanks 🙏
Sweet video! This literally was quick and this is all I was looking for, quick steps to get my audio sounding better. Great Job!
Come back to this almost every new film! Thanks Mike!
Learned so much in this 8min of how-to voice tuning than anywhere else. 👏
OMG!!!! There is no comparison, I even saved some crappy dialogue badly recorded. THANK YOU SO MUCH. I always felt so intimidated by dialogue mixing, a revelation really!
Wonderful to hear this!
Amazing tutorial. It's surprising how much one can learn despite the years spent on Premiere 😄
Thank you so much, I’ve been looking all over RUclips for the right video. Now I can start pumping out video with confidence.
👌
I am trying this write now. Thank you so much for sharing!
This was the only video I needed to finish the audio on my interview commercial I shot for a fitness company thanks so much!
👍
I never realized how much I could do with premier and audio! At first I thought I captured bad audio, but I now realize that I just needed to fix a couple of things to make it great! Thanks!
Glad to have helped
Hi Mike, Thanks very mcuh for these great tutorials. Quick question - does it make a difference in what order I apply these affects to the clip? Thanks in advance!
That's really helpful! I was always having trouble with my editing cuz there are 8 and more people talking over each other and everyone has a different mic quality. Now they're at the same wavelength and easy to understand and distinguish. Thank you!
Hi, just a hint for you, if possible record everyone on a separate track so you can EQ and process each voice individually.
@@MikeRussell Thanks for the tip, though sadly I won't be able to apply it. I diverge my mic track, system sounds track, and discord (where 8 other people are) track. So, all 8 people end up on one track anyway.
Though I might try it for podcasts!
you helped so much with this vid! i never knew i could play with my voice this much in premiere! thanks so much for the knowledge!!!
Glad to help!
I didn't know I could do all this from Premiere. This will save me some time.
That's great to hear!
One of the best Premiere Pro tutorials I have come across, be it audio or video. Well done. Thanks so much.
Thank you Mason
This video was absolutely incredible. I'm completely new to editing and this was perfect for a beginner, very easy to understand. Thanks so much!
Wonderful to hear this. Thanks Cady!
Great tutorial but on the last part whenever I change the compressor and the other settings and play the audio. everything goes back to normal. Why does that happen?
Thanks for the knowledge. It improves the quality of my recording.
Love your videos this is my week two learning the ways of editing and you're making easy and fun. Thank you!
👌
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, I use this method in every dialogue video.
Glad to have helped
dynamics was mind blowing and saved a project with botched sound. THANK.
👌
It works with audio from 90's too. This is awesome.
👌
Thanks sooo much Mike! This helped out a lot!
Thanks for this. Im using this for my next youtube video right now and I have to say this is a lifesaver. Also, I sub. Nice Channel
I,m glad I found your channel... you helped me a lot about my audio in premiere pro... kudos for you!
👍
subbed I've been tinkering with my audio for months now trying to get my podcast to sound just right and this helped alot.
👌
Thank you for the video, Mike. I don't know whether I apply too much post-processing, but I use the compressor, noise gate, and expander in OBS, and then add a few simple effects in PP: denoise, deEsser, EQ, and mastering, that's pretty much where 'I'm at' so far.
A pretty nice setup there!
I have found going onto the Audio Workspace--click dialogue on the right and set to "Balanced Male Voice" or "Clean Background Voice" seems to do pretty much the same with basically one click!
Wow! Great tutorial video! This is exactly what I am searching for! Thank you 😊
Thanks
Followed your steps and it was a remarkable improvement in my audio quality.
Awesome, thanks so much for letting me know :)
This was exactly the problem I had. My sound was so thin and I wasn't sure why. Thanks for the simple video explanation
👍
Thank you very much. I am just about to embark on the grand RUclips journey and this helped me alot with making my dialogues sound actually good.

Thanks Alex
Thank you! Easy to follow, concise, and effective!
Thanks
I hadn't hoped to make a good sound until I watched your video. Thanks man!
Great news!
Try pressing Sift + K . It’s a nice way to play a short clip. If you enable loop, it will also loop.
I always watch your videos every time I have questions about audio
👍
Thanks for the video! Many valuable information in it!
You are very welcome!
Thank you so much for this very helpful video! 🌺😊🌷
👌
nice tutorial . thank you for sharing :)
Thanks heaps for the detail and very clear and concise presentation!
Thanks Michael
@mike russell Thanks for the video, it really work, i have also added denoise so that a tangent bit of noise will be reduced from my audio clip.
This was really helpful, my audio will sound better from now on, Thanks
👍
Do you use dynamics/autogate to get rid of annoying breaths or just use it every once in a while? I think it's natural to keep a few breaths when talking
I'll practice this tutorial for my videos, thank you. This is really helpful
👍
Thank you so much for this video! Really helped recently on a project...and I hope to incorporate it on future vids!
👍
So great!! Really really helpful! Thank you :)
👌
Hi Mike, i was wondering it that would work with the video mic me microphone for Iphone
Thanks a lot Mike for the amazing video. Learned a lot from this.
👌
Really helpful, thanks!
I'm glad you found the tutorial helpful, happy editing!
Thanks , Great tutorial.
Thanks
the compression and eq on your voiceover for this video sounds outrageously aggressive
It's kind of difficult to listen to, it sounds like the typical "over the top" improvement.
Dude could you edit me a 60 sec dialogue audio
@realmasculine8891 How old are you?🤣🤣 what s so good about having authority?
@realmasculine8891 So if he had a softer voice I wouldnt know he is the authority on the subject?
@@4tyseven536 better question🙋
How many diapers did you make dirty today 🤔?
Lovely, thank you!
👍
Thanks for the helpful tutorial. I have an interview with a hand-held mic and there are a couple of 'voice' pops on words. Any method to ease or quiet that letter 'popping' sound?
There is a pop filter in Adobe Audition otherwise roll off below 100 Hz and tools like iZotope RX.
Nice video man, very useful
Thanks!
Perfect video for a quick guide on how to. Thank you.
Thanks so much!
Thanks. I used this video so many times.
👌
This helped even a Zoom recorded interview sound way better, thank you!
👌

🙏
Great video! thank you very much!
👌
Ty this was extremely helpful
🙏
Hi Mike. I wonder if you gonna read this old podcast comments of yours but I really would like to know what is the microphone you are using in this tutorial there in the right corner as you speak. I love the deep tone and low freqvensies of this one. That is what I would like to get to my new Blue Marble News Watch channel. I am using some taped old usb headset that sounds terrible :)
Hey Mike! Great video. Straight to the point. I like it :) I am wondering though, is your workflow the same if you intend in having music in the background under the voice over?
Thanks! If you intend on using music you'd still follow this process to improve the sound of a voice but then start making adjustments to the music track like removal of EQ and auto-ducking.
You are an absolute king
Complete honesty- I like the original better, just a little quiet (but easily fixable). Everyone has different tastes and mine is simply not your EQ and compression choices. Thank you for showing how it's done though, because now I can go and create a combination that I like. Really do appreciate the effort 👍
You're welcome. EQ and compresison is a personal choice, every VO artist or producer will probably add their own take. Glad the video has helped
i refer to this a lot thanks Mike!
🙏
Thanks! Super helpful :)
👍
this helped minimize the background noise. thanks
👌
That is super helpful for the sound of my tutorials. Thank you!
👍
Thank you very much!
👍
Thank you for this great tutorial!
👍
Thank you! nice and clear.
You are welcome!
Quality evergreen content right here. Thank you!
Thanks Cameron 👌
Brilliant vid - thanks so much. Sorry if I sound dumb but why does my mic only seem to record in one headphone?
How is your mic connnected to your computer? Under the preferences menu you want to ensure that under Audio Channel mapping your mic is set to both left and right channels. At the moment it's likely that your mic is on one channel and another input on the other channel.
great vid, thanks for the help
👍
have only just started watching, but it would be great if the first tip was 'remove background noise' as thats the main problem I have with my audio. I recommend when doing RUclips tutorials, start with the worst possible (within reason) starting footage so that the viewer - whatever their problem is - can find identify the help they need for their problem
Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate your suggestion and will make sure to prioritize addressing background noise removal in future tutorials so viewers can tackle their audio issues right from the start.
Thanks great video 👍
Thank you
You sir just saved some footage I thought was toast. Thank you, sincerely appreciated.
Thanks Jim
👍
Can you demonstrate how to use the De-esher filter in audition to remove harsh (SH) sounds in words like: she, should, invitation (tion), much (ch), change (ch)?
Here you go ruclips.net/video/F5VYsXU6KBk/видео.html
Great tutorial. Thanks.
Great to hear it!
Thanks for this. It was VERY helpful!
You're welcome
Thanks very well explained
Thanks!
