To clarify: Sonny isn't his daughter, he rescued her from The Patriots and became a cyborg in the process. Sonny is adopted by Otacon and Solid Snake and works at Solis.
Raiden does have a son, but he was pre-cyborgification.
The SOP tore apart his body, leaving him with half his skull(jaw gone) and his spine(which is a must). This incident then led to his cyborgfication. His wife Rose and son live safely in New Zealand.
Sunny sees him as her hero and/or parental figure.
seeing Rave bobbing back and forth to the tune of Red Sun is just so cute. I needed this today.

We will never get a sequel to this. Not after what Konami did to Kojima during the development of Metal Gear Solid 5. Konami just wants to make pachinko machines to basically print money for them. Then Konami made Metal Gear Survive which is an insult of a game.

Uh, this game does have a spiritual sequel with crazy powerful cyborg/androids suplexing country sized robots. Its called Nier Automata. Made by the same people in fact.

Germans are considered a race as far as I know but you also are not supposed to call them a race as that term is frowned upon by Germans. This coming from what I have learned from my friends who live in Germany and a few studies I have done. They actually hate the word race and prefer the term Ethnicity. They want to get away from that line of thinking based upon the things that happened in WW2 as they see the term race as problematic. That’s your fun fact for the day :D
