It depends... "Dr. Katz", "The Critic" are boring cartoons, Mike Judge was relatable to his target audience: "KOTH" is PG-14, kids won't find it funny.
Hank's Special Fishing Bait | King of the Hill | adult swim 1750pm 19.6.22 i never watched this even though it was prime time come home from the pub tv.... the animation style looks akin to the guy's work who made Murun Buchstansangur.... but you'll know better...
I mean that is realistic still which is quite nice.. Insurance money is useful and also the ability to blame your competitor for ruining your business really adds more to the ability to sue
Judging by the copious amounts of gasoline and god knows what else he poured or rubbed into the counters and walls, the fumes may very well have caused a kaboom of that magnitude. Look up gas vapor or natural gas leak explosions and you'll see how terrifying aerosolized combustibles can be.
You almost think at the beginning that Ray's just lying about the guy who sells bait out of his truck, just to get Hank out of his hair and then they go and show him right at the end. That's one of the things I like about this show. They don't leave anything to the imagination, like other shows do.
An old comment but I’m so appreciative of it. I guess my brain at first watch thought that the truck was the drug dealer’s and I was so confused as to why (I realize now this wasn’t the case) Ray would set Hank up like that. Thank you!
I didn't remember this scene correctly. As a kid I thought the fish shop owner was getting hooked and somehow thought Hank wanted in on it too. Either way - pretty funny.
He probably has some weird mix of cat food and fertilizer and soil and breeds his own worms that are bigger but don't live as long. So they serve their purpose but as far as worms go, they are deformed.
Well, that's probably lighter fluid for a grill, which can be odorless. I can tell because the can has charcoal and flame on it, so it's probably meant for grilling.
One of my favorite parts of this episode is the part where a fish Hank caught literally swam right back to the boat because of the cocaine, the reason that's one of my favorite parts is because fish literally never swim back to a boat after they are thrown back.

Freshness Jar rofl. God Hank is adorable lol. The older you get the more the show relates. I started watching it in my early 20s and liked it. It was ok but some episodes to me were boring. But now I'm 32 and love it.
Stay tuned for the spin off series where we see the bloody tuff war that happens when Jack realizes that other guy is selling inferior product on his corner..
The reason he was apprehended is because both accelerants he utilized are highly detectable, and he carelessly left the cans in the store instead of taking them with him.
The guy left so much evidence I mean he left the gas cans, and if they have a CSI in that town they do scans on the debris looking for trace amounts of gasoline
The writers kinda forgot. It's a reference from Game of Thrones season 8. It was so bad people said the writers kinda forgot how to write a well written piece of work
Hank did notice but he's a homie and wants to be a good witness for the insurance company when they investigate lol. Easier to lie when he acts out his last interaction with poor ole Ray.
Man thanks to another comment I realized Ray actually sent Hank to (as seen in this clip) the guy selling bait from his truck. I guess 2 guys named Jack
Hank didn't smell the gas Ray was spreading around all up in his store. Plus he drives away less than a second later and doesn't hear or see the fire explosion.😂
Insurance money. He's probably had Insurance for a while and he seems to have been doing well and probably still did but with megalo mart he knows he can't compete. Only thing is he really shouldn't have left those cans of fuel around.
I’m definitely not a druggie or addict but $20 for 3 vials of crack with at least 10 large crack rocks per vial is a bargain. That’s the cheapest bait I ever did see I tell you what.

It was over for him. The best thing he could do would be to walk away and get insurance money. As a kid I didn't realize that was why Ray was burning the store down

That stupid voice lol
I liked the subtle overarching theme of the Mega Lo Mart driving out all the small businesses throughout the season
King of the Hill is the epitome of adult animation. As a kid you think the show is boring and slow, as an adult it becomes hilarious and insightful

This show was so topical and yet so absurd! I miss it. 😔
It wasn't topical, all the character's behaviors and personalities are relatable in any scenario.
At 18 seconds in, it's a nice touch that he's using Mega Lo Mart brand rags. Subtly sad detail.

IRL the only thing you're catching with that bait is chicken heads lol
I wonder if "bait" would actually work for fish
Now that you mention it I wonder also🤔? I guess go find your local drug dealer and find out?
Me: "I swear officer; I was buying that crack to use as fishing bait!"
Police: "Tell it to the judge..."
I feel it would dissolve in the water too quick before a fish would even want to go after it.
"I'm going trout of business, Hank"
