I was born 1965 and grew up watching this era of televison. What a great time for entertainment.

I'm sure that Lily was probably tempted to cook for Herman, their wise crackin' raven that was in the cukoo clock! I can imagine Lily saying to Herman, "we're having misbehavin' raven tomight." The wise crackin' raven was a nice additional funny touch, for me to the kookiness going on in their house.
Then when it's too hot 🔥, Herman blows 🌬 it off the table ‼️

Herman is very much a "regular guy" but he just looks different is all. I love this show!!!
Fred Gwynne sure made the most of it that suit was 1000 degrees well waiting on others multiple retakes and such
He is what a human should be a regular guy
And specifically a kind and authoritative figure with a particular voice and "monstrous" laugh.

Grandpa's stealing bed sheets and towels from the Devils Island Hotel. LOL ! The guys who wrote the scripts for this show were comedic genius's. I grew up during the 1960's and watched The Munsters on TV and later on syndication and I haven't watched it since. The Munsters are every bit as funny now as they were when I was a kid...
I love The Munsters , the theme song for the second season of The Munsters,is the best music ever, Yvonne De Carlo was beautiful as Lily.

Lily Munster is so beautiful! I wish I was born when this was on TV! I'm only 32 years old, and was born in 1988, so I'm a little too young to have seen this when it was new, but I know all about it still!

The chief on Get Smart was Edward Platt. Philip Ober is the curator in this episode of The Munsters. Ober was in Perry Mason five times. And you're right that there was a resemblance.

How Marilyn just walks about in that house and loves them so much without even thinking once its strange is beyond me. She was such a gorgeous girl. To think she went on after this and had a whole life. 60 years and then died. such sadness she's gone. So beautiful.

Al Lewis, he was cool. I met him back when I was about 10 in Florida, he signed my baseball bubblegum card and I got a shot of the dragster on display, The Munster mobile. Back then baseball and drag racing was big .
Hard to believe this show only lasted two seasons. It was really funny. This is when television was worth watching. What qualities for comedy today isn’t funny at all. The only people laughing are the laugh reels.

The reason there were only 2 seasons made was because in 1966 the TV series of Batman in colour and suddenly The Munsters was very much last years news.

I really like The Munsters but I wish they'd put up the full episodes instead of just cutting them up into 8-10 minute clips.
I love watching these old shows just to look at the cars. All that steel, no computers, no safety glass, no seat belts or kid's seats, AM radio only, GPS was an actual paper map (that never folded up right), back seats that were big enough to build a rec room in. OH for the good old days!
Actually, seat belts were around as early as 1963.
