      I really wish they hadn't deleted Raider. Was the best part of PoE for me. Maybe they will add something similar in PoE 2 but... doesn't seem likely if they deleted the class in 1.

      Make an alt, make a hardcore, challenge yourself by pushing higher difficulty earlier while leveling ect. There are many ways to make things fresh. I was feeling the same way after min maxing my sorc.

      Your wrong. Once our Builds are going, we have to push the Pit and Min/Max for perfect Rolls on Tempering and perfect Rolls on MasterWorking. Same for Max Level Aspects.
      But I know what you’re saying and you are right, for me personally. I get bored immediately once Mythics drop and I’m just farming for more MW materials.

      Yes, your gear and everything is being reset, even after the stat squish your level 100 characters will be reduced to level 50 out of 60. Speak up everywhere that counts if you don’t want that to happen. Window is closing.

      Honestly every season has more or less been the same. The shakeups have not made THAT much of a difference, the itemization rework just gave a lot of free power and made game balance even worse. The only genuinely great one was S2.

    I think the NMD and Pit changes are nice, but difficulty should be achievable from level 1. Penitent only at lvl 50 still defeats the purpose of streamlining leveling. If you can defeat the difficulty, then you should be at that difficulty, kinda weird. Would also make alts more viable. Additionally, paragon boards should be capped at 6, and glyphs to 5. Would make for more interesting builds if you want to cap stuff.

      Yeah, but that ship has sailed. It sucks. The game has turned into "okay, I am bored until level cap, then at level cap, I can enter pits where enemies are 100 levels above me to feel the slightest frisson of difficulty". It's never that fun. Either you are facerolling everything, or attacking walls of HP sponge. I think the consequences of people smacktalking Inferno have been terrible. Inferno was way better than what we've gotten since. At least it had challenges you could play around and skill being a factor, all we have now are various flavors of tedium.

      Ehhh we don't even know what season 6 is yet. People seem to be confusing patches and seasons. Honestly seasons have been pretty trash since after 2/3, because they haven't done a real season mechanic in forever. 2 was definitely the peak; there's just no getting around getting powers for free being more interesting than "we made a rework patch and there's no season mechanic". Season 6 mechanic is confirmed to be a mechanic, so it already is going to be pretty good compared to 4 & 5 unless the mechanic is REALLY bad.

    The current paragon system is all about maximizing the number of glyphs and ignoring a lot of nodes. I see the board limitations as a way of helping those nodes into builds. Also, it will reduce the insane grind of getting 7 glyphs to legendary status.

    I dont see why we need something that is challenging for someone that has won the game. If you can beat everything and feel your gear is amazing such that nothing is difficult, you can take a break for the next season. Arpgs have always been about the build up. Its okay to “finish” a season.

      Agreed. Gotta stop wasting dev time on blasters, and this is coming from someone who blasts. Seasons dont need to last me a month. Im fine blasting for 2 weeks and being done. Not to mention, you can already farm all season long for 3GA in every slot, but people dont actually want to farm. They just like to say they want to, and then complain.

      You’re right about one thing, finishing the season is fine…but only once you’re actually done and not because you’ve run out of things to do or because you just nuke everything on the screen.
      The rest is just objectively not true. Arpgs have ALWAYS been about the end game, the chase, and the challenge. There is historical evidence that proves this: D2, D3, POE (regardless of what your goal is for the season the endgame is still important), torchlight, grim dawn, even fucking titan quest was about the endgame.
      I don’t see why casuals even care about it, it doesn’t affect you in any way.

      I personally enjoy dungeons or content that you can climb and climb without end until you reach a point where it’s too tough. It’s a great way to gauge power and it’s fun to try to get enough power to reach just one more tier.

      ​@sephirian688 The problem is diablos end game is non existent currently, I get 5 days ish out of an entire season before I've finished the season pass/killed lillith and it's been like that since release.
      Poe has its own issues but it's endgame is vast and varied by comparison and a league will keep me busy for a month.
      The lack of progression/power creep doesn't help either.

    I think 6 boards is a good idea too, but force people to get the legendary node before opening up the next board so people don't just go for the glyphs. Either that, or a minimum number of paragon points spent before moving to the next board.

      Issue is some boards have really trash legendary nodes, or ones that won't work for your build, but have good magic/rare nodes near the glyph node that you want. So being forced to grab a legendary node that does zero for a build would feel horrible. Paragon boards as a whole are kinda in a bad spot tbh.
      Being limited sucks, especially with how many points we will be able to get. But not limiting boards just brings us back to S5 and grabbing as many glyphs as you can.
      Honestly the paragon boards just need a full on rework and complete redesign.

    I’m torn, I actually like the limitation of 5 boards (maybe 6 like Cotton mentions). That being said, I do get how it limits ingenuity when it comes to building.
    This limitation is obviously the path they’ve decided on so my solution would be to treat paragon boards like sets from D3, example:
    1: Buff the hell out of the legendary nodes, no infinite scaling stuff, but extra effects once you reach the nodes cap of whatever it does. Ex: Cult leader, once you reach the max damage bonus, minions gain a chunk of crit damage or a guaranteed over power proc on a 15s icd or something similar to that.
    2. Add more boards, this may seem silly because one issue with the limitation is the inability to stack boards but that is specifically because everyone is still in the mindset that some boards are bad and other boards just aren’t useful/needed which IS true. This leads to classes using the same boards for every build, applying fix number 1 solves this to some degree but if the idea is to make players choose…then we need things of equal value to choose from.
    Imagine another board for bleed Barb where the node says something like this: If an enemy is bleeding for more than half their health proc ruptures explosion on them. Ruptures explosion size is increased by 70%.

      I think they should have just limited to 5 glyphs/legendary nodes. Why boards only? Some technical limitation? it should be fine to allow all boards but only so many glyphs. The whole thing feels still oddly incomplete. Like they just phoned this in at the last second. Size increases but no nodes inside that size increase is a blatant example where you have to wonder who was remote working and not doing their job. It's sad to say, but at this point I feel if you gave some players blizzard's dev tools and just let them make a mod they'd do a better job than blizzard.

    from the PTR I'd like to see several changes:
    1.) keep NMD glyph XP as well as adding it to the Pit. NMD are already somewhat mind numbing, so getting something meaningful out of them will provide a little more motivation to run them and Pits are just even less enjoyable dungeons.
    2.) tormented bosses should drop at least 2 guaranteed ancestral legendaries and 1 ancestral unique. It doesn't need to be tormented bosses, but there needs to be some endgame activity that consistently drops ancestrals, otherwise the majority of the player base will struggle to have competitive builds
    3.) rework the paragon boards and specifically legendary nodes. Take sorcerers for example, like he said in the video, they tend to rush to the glyphs and take maybe 1 or 2 legendary nodes simply because most of the nodes only benefit very specific builds.

    I really never liked being able to use other classes skills. Class fantasy is important cause it makes each class unique and have its own playstyle. Runewords i feel should make your own class really unique and build upon it making cool effects. You can do some of that with the current system but not enough.

    I got bored too after I got all my Ubers. I was trying to farm GA fractured winter glass, but farming boss material especially for Zur is just awful. After the goblin event, I realized how crappy the gameplay loop was for farming boss material and couldn’t do it anymore.

      Same, No Pit Leaderboard to compete a bit with others, makes this game boring as hell. Got all the gear and ubers than what?. I will pass D4 untill they put some kind of LB in it.

      @@arthas_stormr8ge877 yeah boss farming Matt’s is gets old really fast…. Same only had two drops of that amulet 🪬 so I got tired 🥱 of it enough is enough. They can atleast let us farm unique materials to than add our greater affix to our gear instead of this rng endless loop

      @@bhec7715 they nerfed the exquisite blood drops by at least 70% from last season. The maiden use to drop like 2 and 3 of them at a time. Then the hell ourne always dropped at least 1 boss material on every kill. Now it’s normally 1 blood from each maiden kill that takes like 2 or 3 min to kill because add phase. Then hellbourne and elites barely drop any boss material now.

      @@a-_-Kuja I feel it I have killed tormented Zur like 20 times and have only gotten like 5 or 6 fractured winter glass drops. 1 with a GA but 0.1 cooldown and very low % on chance to summon conjurations.😢😢

    I remember in D3 the level locking was because of how mob health and damage was calculated. For a time, Level 1 characters could run T16 and the damage/health of the monsters barely changed as 150% to 3 hps isn't significant when you are doing thousands of damage with gems as an alt. I do think it should be loosened up a bit.

      Level scaling in general is dumb for that reason yeah. It leads to all sorts of "unintended" consequences. Like as originally designed with certain levels and expectations, maybe certain monsters made sense. When you have reasonable numbers, some monsters doing a slow hit that does 500% weapon damage makes sense. But when you scale it up too far, some monsters remain trivial and others become obscene. Classic automatic/algorithm scaling issue, because design is not equal. How do you balance around some mobs walking around in a circle for 10 seconds and plinking you once for 50% weapon damage, while another shoots out 5 projectiles that all do 100% weapon damage and freeze you etc?

    It doesnt really matter how many paragon boards you can use, people always take the most effecient route, best, or feel forced to do something. Before we had all the boards to choose from, so what happens, we go straight through getting as many glyphs as we can. Now we have less boards and more points, so what do we do, just fill em all up. Another board will just cause you to get 1 more glyph which will more than likely be a damage boost.
    Seeing how high the damage numbers are and how far each class has gone, i mean we really dont need another board. Thats another multiplier added on is all and making damage more outrageous. There is just no way to find a good faie ground here for players.

    The test servers in blizzard games are hilarious. Maybe 20% of the player base will take the time to even try it. 50% of that number will quit after a week. The remaining people have to try and make builds for everyone who listens to them. Regardless of all that one of the things they seem to regret is the top of ladder stuff isn't a draw to 90% of the games player base.

      I honestly don't know why people make such a big deal out of ptrs. Almost nothing that is tested, ESPECIALLY the "nEw BeSt **insert class** BuIlD fOr **upcoming season** " videos end up making it to the live release. It's basically just people paying streamers to watch them beta test a patch. It's boring as Hell and rarely ever leads to anything that's actually informative.

    I wish they would move to a controlled resource - crafting system. Remove most of the RNG from it.
    Unique items can still only be found.
    However legendary requires you to craft stats onto them. Items would have up to the 3 stat slots like now, but the player has to craft/assign them at the blacksmith. The stat quality increases its cost, but the player has control over what quality of stat is applied. There can still be some rng applied here,damage for example could be broken into 50% ranges.
    Tempering work the same way, let the player choose the stat, and make it where you cant brick an item but the cost of upgrading or changing the stat increases slightly per time done.
    Give more item freedom and player control, while pushing the gameplay drive to unique and crafting mat farming.
    Yes people will be able to build min-maxed characters easier, sure. However since the system is far less punishing people will also be more inclined to want to play more characters since its not such a massive grind to get the gear

    I'm bothered that I still see nothing about loadouts for builds. They've made the game require different builds to efficiently handle different activities but we have to spend millions and however long it takes to switch, can't tag specific pieces for specific builds and have to remember the exact gear and exact points to switch every time. The average gamer has a ton of trouble with switching but we kinda can't get away with not doing so.
    I hope they surprise us with at the very least two switchable loadouts with this expansion but I have a feelings it'll get skipped for another season. So I'll have to tandem level two main characters of the same class all the way again. 😑 it's the only current workaround.

    i still think they should make a game mode for racing.. for every season.. so the gamers who want to blast..and go fast.. can race eachother.. make it more official. Then they can make a "TORTURE" mode.. for those that want that extra tough challenge..

    I just dont understand y they made so many pointless changes??? Like S5 is amazing and fun why ruin that smh... I already preordered the DLC and im happy to play when it drops but i just feel alot of these changes shouldnt have been made. Guess we shall see next month.

    The Devs have simply got to stop focusing effort on challenging 1000 players, and get to making content that is fun for 100000 players. Just set the max pit level available to 500, obviously no one can do it, and the try hards can beat themselves over the head trying to one up each other each season. The rest of the time, the devs can focus on adding good events and more content that isn't focused around the pit. Just treat it like tetris, set it so it's impossible, and let us move on from worrying about it. It's a death anchor at sea.

      exactly, most of these changes just hurt the majority of the player base while benefiting the select few. To get even 2/3 affixes with at least 1 GA is hard enough, and the reroll cost can cost hundreds of millions to get the 3rd affix per piece. I'm already preparing myself to get 20 pieces with resistance GA's for every 1 GA on a useful affix

      I agree 100%, unfortunately this is a repeating problem with them. They went through the same thing with D3; an increasing and total focus on seasons and greater rift. I'd like to believe that was because they went maintenance mode and that was the only easy way they could keep churning content. But... they have full production work on D4 here and it is STILL a focus.

      @@jamesbarton4424 The easiest way is to just get Tyrael's and call it a day. I don't think it's good that that mythic unique becomes obligatory, but when something works it works. Only reason to not use it is if you can trade resistances on other pieces for wearing an offensive chest... I suppose that's why they added the offensive mythic chest.

    I hope they really look at player feedback for ptr and apply changes immediately. We need the paragon board to be more complex and engaging, not simpler to a point I don’t have to think about what nodes I’m taking. We only have a few aspects of the game that add complexity, please don’t make paragon board simpler Blizzard.

      This is what they came up with after a year of development. I really doubt they are capable of taking in player feedback and in a month creating something better and more interesting than they did in a year.

    I played the PTR and the changes to the main screens, looks like they are slowly moving towards the look of Diablo 3. Not complaining, but would have liked to see something new.

      It is coming with a boatload of new content in the expansion. I honestly doubt, supposing there are big flaws, most people will care or notice for the first few weeks.

    I might be wrong, but I thought they stated the pit was going to be easier due to the fact it was part of progression now for glyphs. . They openly stated the end game is the citadel, what ever that looks like.
    We see the put as the big thing because that’s all it was currently since horde t8 offered better rewards.
    Glyph legendary affixes are as generic as nodes themself, sorry, but I’d prefer it make adjustments to key passives or skills. We focus so much on damage boost with generic % to damage, with d4 wanting to stay squish, stop adding multipliers and damage and make skills feel better

      Even if nothing changed pit should be much easier because of paragons. The new paragon system is just a massive bloating of character power. Simply the added affix for hitting 46 on glyphs if you add 5 together is about equivelant to the multiplicative damage advantage the busted "meta" builds have on live compared to unbusted builds. Without touching on 100 more paragons worth of stats, or the added stats each glyph has on top of that multiplicative. Etc.
      Also I'm not sure citadel is "THE" endgame. It's the endgame for parties, and supposedly the challenge there is interacting as a group. We haven't heard a lot about the time attack dungeon; that might ACTUALLY be the new hardcore endgame activity, considering they haven't talked about it much, but what they did mention was it can be solo, and it has a similar dynamic to hordes where you pick buffs/penalties. That kinda sounds like, again, IH was a testing bed for it in the same way S3 was a testing bed for mercs.

      @@zeriel9148 fair points and I’d say we see eye to eye on most. New paragon boards are in my mind a complete flop and offers way too much power from stat inflation, I’d prefer less bloat and more imaginative with how the paragon board effects your character. I lost interest extremely quickly as I still find the same core problems exist. Abilities shouldn’t feel like absolute trash before a legendary power. They have done some positive changes and there’s still a lot of work to be done.

    Yeah im burnt out of D4 and theres not enough to keep me playing. Class builds and skills are limited or broken and 1 new class and a new skill for each character isnt a big improvement.
    Path of Exile 2 will be out a month after D4s new expansion so I can save money and wait for that 😂. It also looks way better in every way

      Yes, all your gear will be useless and after the stat squish your lvl 100 characters will be 50 out of 60. please get out there and speak up on every platform possible. We’ve got a short window to prevent this.

      I haven't touched my Druid from Season 1 since they redid gear last season, and I remade my rogue last season who had the same issue, now all that progress on 4 Max level characters is down the drain, again! WTF
      Plus, they do this after they finally made Ubers realistically obtainable??

    My thing is i love grinding but to build towards something and not log on and its a new season then I kill myself min/maxing and then what, get 5% more so I can kill the hardest content that much faster lol? just no real end game. just gear based end game.

    Season 5 is the last playable season, moving 6 forward is absolutely garbage and their "balances" have done nothing but mess the game.

    The resistance loss compared to armor loss per difficulty increase is idiotic, you suffer way more in resistance than with armor :'D
    Also Barbs are melee class, they dont need range skills...
    Similarly Rogue, Necro, Sorc are long range classes, they dont need close combat shit like they have now.

      One thing I realized with wearing tyraels is resistances are not as important as you might be led to believe in a vacuum. Sure, it hurts not having... say... normal cap. But going from 70-85% is not that big of a leap even though on paper it is, as a lot of the damage you take that HURTS in pits is physical. I think they just tried to make it so you wouldn't easily overcap, as was happening in S5. All the gems in my jewelry once I had maxed out gear were doing nothing, because both armor and resistances were way overcapped.
      Incidentally, no, rogue is not a ranged class. It's a hybrid of different classes from previous games; and even in D1 rogue had melee builds. Regardless, about half of rogue's skills in D4 are melee, so... dunno why you'd want to remove that. Just because you had a mistaken assumption it's a ranged class?

    I want to thank you guys. Your channel has been a big part of my d4 journey. Alas, the new stuff doesn't catch me at all. I see it as a greedy money grab for things we should have gotten up front. Or free with the fiasco that was launch...and season1, 2 ,3... Even 4. And don't get me started on 5.. I don't trust bliz enough to hand over money for the DLC.

    I can tell you, I 100% won't be playing season 6. In fact the changes they are doing will make me stop playing D4 completely. They had so many bugs in S5 and now with the complete rework the bugs are going to be insane in S6. No thanks, I hate playing games with tons of bugs, then when they try and fix those bugs they make more bugs. After playing 5 seasons it is time for me to move on and doing something less annoying.
