People complained about S5 PTR and it was extremely well received.
@@Touchin-Grass It's almost like s5 was much smaller in comparison, and all they had to do was buff infernal hordes..
@dizk8488 You clearly didn't test it..
@@Touchin-Grass I tested both in PTR, you're just completely clueless. S6 + expac has much more content that wasn't even in the PTR and couldn't be tested. The season 6 theme wasn't even in the PTR.. They can't "fix" the season 6 theme like they did with S5 hordes because the public didn't even test it.
@@dizk8488 yep, most of the content for S6 wasnt there, no xpac or any xpac related features, no hoards. Basically looks like they wanted to focus on the levelling aspect of the game, but chose to hamstring the playerbase who did login. So even the levelling experience without hoards and xpac features is going to be way different to PTR, even if they change nothing... Which lets face it... No way is the barb going to keep that thorns build.
So basically they made a PTR, and all they got from it was likely a whole bunch of "this is crap" and its not even going to be relevant since most of the stuff wasnt available for testing. I get the feeling at least the first 2 weeks of S6 will be Mass PTR a bug fixes, many disabled features. For sure trading and dropping items will be disabled while they fix whatever new item duping bug they put in the game will be. Mythics will likely drop everywhere and get disabled.
Personally I think they should have dropped the xpac, gave everyone at least 1 month to play it and its story basically without a seasonal realm, then turned on S6 in November after they have polished out most of the bugs and likely torn apart many classes that will end up being bugged.
On the upside, @PerGamingGames is going to be very busy creating hilarious "i told u so" content for us to consume on the tube.
Diablo 4 is always going to be a PTR. The beta will never end.
I posted something like this on reddit and got downvoted into oblivion
@@douglashaase2762 They down voted you to Skyrim?
I feel like the people that are trying to stay positive about season 6, just started playing the game in season 4. @douglashaase2762
Masterworking fills me with rage. The odds of hitting three wanted affixes in a row is so low, I might as well be in a casino.
They literally gave you infinite materials and gold in the PTR and I still couldn't crit 3 times on cooldown but mostly because I gave up in utter boredom. I think they should consider removing the A from ARPG.
RNG has ruined me. If anyone ever does a triple-A ARPG with deterministic crafting ON literally EVERYTHING CRAFTABLE and highly regarded QoL features like Auction Houses and skippable campaigns it'll take the genre by storm.

One of the real reasons why I quit PoE after 3200 hours. Well that and being forced to play through the campaign for the bazillionth time made me cringe.
@Zederok same I play POE from beta great game just made it to much to deal with
Without the use of real money ofc
Let me give you the blueprint so far in d4 :
- devs make a ridiculously stupid illogical ill informed decision.
- the community baffled by the devs’ collective lack of common sense retaliates, by complaining, making videos, posting rants on reddit.
- devs quickly back pedal on the decision, and throw in “we are listening to you, we don’t want you to feel this way, this is not fun, our design choice was so because we had such and such in mind but we didn’t realize how it makes the gamer feels, your feedback is so valuable”
- they roll out a new patch and essentially decide to go back on those decisions which you were wondering were shit and pointless to begin with how can devs even think it would have been feasible.
- some of the community then commend blizzard for listening to the community.
Imagine if this was how your car manufacturer works, keeps altering shit in your car which you paid for and they keep altering shit when you send the car in for servicing and the alterations are nonsensical. Upon your protest they change it back and make more alterations to fix their fucked up alterations. Would you be ok?
No. The devs are incompetent and laughably stupid.
The community is worse for putting up with it.
I mean, player count is still there, if all they have to do is spit out some BS when things go sour for all the players to clap their hands at the geniuses at blizzard, why not.
I’ve always said, If people are dumb enough, exploit it. Blizzard figured that right with cosmetics 5 times the price of a f*****g coffee while having minimum investment on the game itself.
I stopped playing when I heard the changes for season 6. It's the only way the devs will get the point. Even then, they are bound to fuck things up somehow.
God I love this channel. It’s so REAL and cuts through all the bullshit you have to sift through with RRRRob and baldhoody.

@@Dudule4723 425.5M would be so much nicer than 425,500,000
I guess people get Hella Dopamine hits from yellow globs of numbers covering up all the gameplay. I've had my damage numbers off since AoZ. I turn them on if I'm testing something in the training grounds, and turn them right off as soon as I exit. I have not regretted that choice since doing it. It's nice to be able to actually see the game.
It just doesn't feel good to find a 3 GA item anymore because I know I'll likely brick it in tempering.
70% chance you going to brick it or the very least get low rolls on it
not even just that but now GA items are the only thing you can masterwork to 12/12 and they are VERY rare....the time to get a build to end game is going to be massive. you may level to max fast but to get a build "complete" is 3x longer at least
You're all incorrect. You will be able to farm an item that resets tempering so no you wont perma brick anything. Also ALL ancestral will have at least 1 GA so saying you can only mw12 GA gear is misleading
@@bungmonkey2295you can get an item to reset tempering? I didn’t know that. That would make huge difference.
@@axiss7437good, u can complete diablo 4 in like 2-3 days rn, it definitely needs more grinding
Dead on. News from the PTR, (I'm XBox so I don't matter,) has killed soooo much of my excitement for the DLC. This item rework is fucking stupid.
Agreed I’m gonna keep playing drg and hd2
It was the simplicity of Diablo 1 that I miss. Less unique boss monsters made each name more memorable, and less unique weapons and armor meant you kept playing long into the a.m. hours hoping the Deadly Hunter (unique hunter's bow) would someday drop. And the slow laid back music enhanced the claustrophobic atmosphere.
Diablo 4 is just to simple for 2024. Lack of content is NO good. Not having a trading market si NO good. Not having some seroius grinding challenges that gives you awesome cosmetics is NO good. Not having a complex and very large skill tree is NO good. Making a game to look like is made for phones is NO good. Having to pay for every new content in the game is the most NoNo in gaming history. What are we talking about, DO NOT swallow any piece of cake that some THIEVES are forcing you to eat. Just ignore them and really don't consume their TRASH content. Stay away from THIEVES disguised as GAYMING DEVELOPERS.
Don't worry. Many people will complain that it's too difficult to max out paragon points, so they will just boost the amount of xp you get to ensure EVERYONE gets EVERYTHING. They don't understand the point of the genre.
They did it to themselves by trying to appeal to a broad audience instead of their core ARPG players. Now they have Minecraft, Fortnite, and CoD kids complaining that they have to grind at all and they bend over backwards to keep them. Seriously, I've seen more than a few players unironically asking for a skip to lvl 100 with full gear option. The same goes for "gamer Dad with 42 jobs, 1200 kids, and only an hour to play a month" types. The whole game is a digital participation trophy at this point.
@@kennyhouser3467 I remember when "grind" was a term pretty exclusive to RPG's (particularly old school turn-based) which were played by a minority of serious gaming nerds. Now it seems to refer to any part of any game that is repetitive and not fun to play. Every game has to have progression and end-game content now. Every game has goals to achieve that are more enticing than the game play itself. Feels a lot more like a drug addiction than entertainment and they charge us to get to that "fix" with minimum grind. Makes me wonder why people play video games at all. (disclaimer, there are games existing that are actually fun to play, but they get harder to find as the years roll by.)
i dont trade, or, to say it better, i don't sell ,because there's no auction house, on WOW i used AH often, but here on D4 it sucks, so i just salvage everything, i dont have time or patience to post on a 3d party website.
so I would welcome an auction house for sure
Same, I cant play for long during the week due to long work hours, maybe 2 hours tops if I do nothing else after work. That doesnt work on the trading sites as I also live in AU, and well how many items are posted on the trading sites where the people are online in Western Australia time between 9:30Pm and 11:30Pm (which is 11:30pm-1:30Am sydney time or in the summer is 12:30am to 2:30am sydney time).... Basically none.
So that option is basically out for me, even if there was a way for us to trade by way of a mailbox on COD payment. Where someone could post an item on a trade website we could come to a deal on the website and that person could visit a trade vendor or mailbox in the game and mail it to someone with a payment required. then when that reciever logs in they check it and pay it and done. Its not quite an AH, people cant bot snipe items and repost. There is no real money involved. Seems like an okay middle ground, for those who want to do it.
With such a mailbox system, what if the payment wasnt limited to gold, what if the seller could request boss mats as thier payment for the item as COD.
I'm the exact opposite. I only use Diablo . Trade to sell items, and rack up gold for mw'ing and the occultist. I don't buy items on it, because that would ruin my drive to play the game. I play a somewhat self imposed SSF mode because it keeps me playing for upgrades. I will accept trades of same class drops while in a group, but nothing outside of that. Players who gear their characters through the trade market are shortening their replay loop by A LOT.
@@kennyhouser3467 true, but when your available play time is often less than 10 hours in a week (mostly I cant even get to 10 hours of game play across all games in a week) then you either have to take shortcuts or just cap out at a lower level.
S6 for me will remain to be seen, I am wondering how bugged the xpac features and S6 mechanic will be since none of that was available for testing on the PTR. I'm also waiting to see what bug they end up coding into Infernal Hoards since that also wasnt available on the PTR.
I am sure the first week at least will be a mess of bugs and hotfixes and disabled functions while they investigate and fix stuff.
@@MrGeneralScar That is a completely understandable use of the trade market then. I get to play quite a bit, so loot hunting isn't much of a chore for me. Both of us have to exist for a healthy in-game trade market to exist tbh.
As for the xpac, I tend to err on the side of it being somewhat of a mess that then gets sorted out over the course of a season or 3. These types of games have A LOT of moving parts, so expecting everything to be perfect is a bit unfair to the devs. That's not making excuses for just Blizzard either. These types of games are massive and have many different subcategories that need to be tested but there's just not enough time. Expecting the amount of data collection that's produced by millions of players over a month or so to be captured over a week by only a portion of the player base is highly unrealistic imo.
My best advice, and I'm sure you know and agree, would be to enter with realistic expectations. You seem like a sensible person, I'm sure you're well aware.
Boo hoo you need more gold lmfao

TOTALLY agree with this assessment (except for Trading.. Really want an auction house bad). Blizzard, are you listening?
why? in D3 that meant v high prices in real money for the items...that will ALWAYS led up to greedy people
No one is talking about 'real' money. You are making wild assumptions.
I'm good on D4, I'm not gonna play S6 I came back S4 "LOOT REBORN!!!" S5 went backwards and S6 is no better.
Ancestral drop rate is a problem if the only thing you will get is GA resistances
or GA + health.
Drop rate was bugged on the ptr. I don't know why he didn't mention that in the video. There were also issues like the new unique Druid totem not being in the loot table at all. I have very low expectations for the VoH launch. It may end up being really bad for a season or 2.
Ancestrals drop rate was bugged. Simply not scaling in the PTR. The experience esd the drop rate for Torment 1, so if they fix (which sounds logic) the scale I think we're good because there were 3 entire Tiers to scale those drops.
We don't even need the 12 MW ranks for the legendary items but we actually need the 2 tempers. It can be 2 tempers + 8 MW ranks and you would still feel the jump in power to Ancestrals because they made it OP and hey, for a T4 item that's fine.
The paragon system needs to be reworked. A chance to upgrade the glyph? A chance? Really? More F RNG in this game that already seems like a F casino?
@@beingbeyonddat isn't it 100% chance to upgrade if you do a high enough Pit level? I didn't play the PTR and have only watched minimal content about it
2 tempers + 8 MW is a good middle ground
@@PerGamingGamesI agree with BIG D*** SENPAI. I'm in the "2 tempers + 8 mw" camp. Keeps Ancestral items good in a relative sense, but makes it less punishing to run 750 gear at the start.
@@IdyllicMullet Yes. The thing is that when your glyph is level 90 and maybe you don't wanna push higher pits but rather do the grind there you are stuck because... well, devs decided that you gotta push and that's it.
@@PerGamingGames It is. Remember that all the affixes are lower than Ancestral gear anyways. 2 Tempers + 8 MW ranks is just enough to make you actually evade and play around stuff. With 8 MW ranks and 2 Tempers you are not going to face tank a single monster.

But those are at chest because i don't have patience to keep spamming WTS/WTB....just give me an AH so we can leave valuable items there and go play.
Sorry bro, but misleading title triggers me - you did not play S6 - you played a Testversion with parts of the changes for the core game, that will be the basis for the expansion and S6. And besides that it was a specific build targeting 2 Topics - Scaling of difficulty in the leveling process and finding broken stuff with runewords.
Half of the Game features where not even in this PTR, so its hard to talk about S6 at this point. Just write, i played PTR heres my Feedback
It’s click bait for increased views. Actually an ok channel although I find it a little pessimistic and wish more solutions were given for the discussed issues with the game
The way this game launched, no one should even be paying for the expansion. A year after release, and there still isn't an endgame, items have been trash since day one, and they haven't given us any of the QOL features we've been asking for. If one was taking an objective stance, one would come to the conclusion that Blizzard deserves no more money. Imagine if, after all this time, since VOH was announced and available to pre-order, that literally 0 people purchased VOH because the sentiment was "Fix the base game beforei give you anymore money." Blizzard would have no choice but to actually make meaningful changes to the game, but because the vast majority of gamers are just mindless consumers, they know they can get away with releasing a $40 expansion to a game that is still in it's beta phase a year after official release.
The game hyped me up for season 5 and now I don't think I'm playing the next one . Also what if I don't want to pay for the expansion? In Greece for playstation it's 69.90. This is nuts .

100% agree with everything you said. I played the PTR for a week, and felt the same.
Same cycle since season 4.
PTR is all doom and gloom, the released build will then be surprisingly good. Some people might not understand what a PTR is.
I agree with the paragon "rework" being underwhelming though, and yea lets finally fix tempers: make it either a slot machine with 3 choices per try or let us chose the affix and gamble on the percentage.
Not only is it doom and gloom, but the 8963 videos of "NeW bEsT bUiLd FoR ***insert class*** " are pretty pointless. Very rarely has a build that everyone hyped up during the ptr ever made it to live release as is. Same goes for all the OP gear everyone abuses tf out of on the ptr(*cough*stealth chest*cough*). It'll get gutted and everyone will be left figuring things out again anyway.
Nobody on D4 staff ever played D2 their uncle told them about it...they call gear "uniques" yet none are unique. "Runewords" not runewords. They have about 3-4 great ideas per odd season with horrible execution
I wish Uber Unique's got carried over season to season because of how rare they are, i just got my first Doombringer to drop and i don't want to lose it next season especially with it being my first Uber i have ever gotten in 5 season's and when it comes to my first ever Uber i guess you say i have grown a little sentimentality towards the item i can't take it off and it's gonna suck when i can't use it next season :( .

8:20 I have to say I don't 100% mind gear nerf. ONLY BECAUSE PVP. Pve yea it sucks, seasonal players shouldn't care because your redoing anyways. Enternal yea it sucks but your not exactly starting over from the beginning. If your end game now it's safe to say your mid game after nerf. For pvp it's massively great because it keeps day 1 players from being over geared against quite literally everyone. No 1 is gonna lower gear for pvp so all new pvpers or just people who took a break would always no matter what be absolutely screwed. So yea I don't exactly like the gear nerf but I don't mind it aswell. It hurts Enternal but I don't feel like it killing anything, just gives players something to do

Thx for the insight on S6 🙌
So wrong on the auction house. Auction house equals fun. And fun is good.
Agree I love playing with the economyin games
Auction house was in d3 (not talking about real money one) - it warped the whole game around people selling and buying items instead of finding items - people set up bots to snipe everything that was sold under value - people that hit max level just went to the ah and bought "their" weapon - people valued gold more than items so breaking and farming pots became meta because just buying what others found was more effective than grinding for items - it really fast turns a game of killing monsters to find cool stuff into a game of watching market values and flipping items. That was the biggest reason for closing it in d3 and why no other arpg integrated a simple auction house system. For the ones who want to participate, there is always external sites and tools but developers are very shy to have it ingame because of how destructive it is to the core loop of arpgs. The strongest player should be the one who kills demons and not the one sitting in front of price graphs and playing the virtual stock market.
The foundation of good trading in arpgs is a barter system - where you have an item you do not need and others have an item you DO need and you just exchange - an auction house promotes the usage of a currency, because everything else is an UI nightmare - Currency leads to the above mentioned problems.
Thats why trade in POE and D2 was so good - D2 gold was useless, and POE does not even have gold.
Thats why a game like POE that actively supports trade and has a very lively economy STILL has no auction house to this day. hope i could give you some hints why auction houses are working for mmos but not for arpgs in general and........... i was there, i was there when the strenght of the auction house failed, gandalf =)
@@dennisvogel5982 lots of words here. But the auction house is still fun to me and fun is good.
@@therealguy3548 yeah because i wanted to get the point across that they already had an auction house in the past and it was the worst thing ever, so its not like they just decline to put one in, but it would actively hurt the game, even though it might seem fun and logical on the shallow level.

I'm starting to think that blizzard create these non existent issues just so they can be like "we listened and fixed it, we are listening to our community!"
You created the issue in the first place due to poor implementation. You shouldn't be applauded, you shouldn't have made the changes in the first place.
Basically we're better off playing something different just like it was in D3 for two or three years and I already have the two in mind their names are PoE 2 & Titan Quest 2😒
Everyone should just prepare for poe 2 to crush this 💩 game I played every season all of them wer lackluster at best. S5 was wht the game should have been on day1.
I see a lot of hope out there for PoE 2. Hope they can deliver. Despite all the fanboy circle jerk GGG has been known to shit the bed from time to time.
PoE2 will not crush D4. It won't have any more impact than PoE had on D3. Why is it so hard for some to be objective and intellectually honest? It's a niche game for a niche audience. Always has been and always will be.
@@kennyhouser3467 Yeah there’s no chance it’ll kill D4. An article came out a few days ago that estimated D4 has made a billion dollars already. PoE makes $50m in a good year and half that in not so good ones. It’ll always be small potatoes when it comes to player count and financials.
I just hope for the sake of the die hards that the game is as good as they’re all claiming it will be.
Boring
To be fair the current paragon board system isn't any better, every build is just getting as straight a line as possible between legendary nodes, that's not any more exciting than the reworked version. And if I'm picking between two boring choices, I'd rather be able to fill out most of the boards than not being allowed to deviate from the straight line to avoid ruining the build.
i really don't know why they removed the camp fire, now the selection class screen looks like diablo 3 or a mobile game.
I believe I can speak for alot of dads out there. I have 5 girls, one wife and a demanding job. I wish everyone would stop using us as an excuse for lack of motivation and innovation. The few hours I have a week (sometimes several hours on weekends) I want to spend with more challenging content. I hold hands all week, when I am gaming I dont want mine held. I love the grind and I love the challenge but what I want the most is more variety. Make the skills and paragon more complex please. You can't please everone Blizzard. You made an ARPG target that audiance. Keep the lower drop rates but make what is dropping worth it. No more shit explosions and fix tempering. Please also remove the level requirements for Penitent. Do you want to change things up? Add the robots from season 3 in the hoards. Have boons that give them extra powers during runs. Throw in a secret event that has a small chance of spawning a free gold or matt chest at the end of a run. Make it so cellars have a chance to spawn some crazy ass monster that will put up a fight. Variety, this is what us dads like.
Yarp.
Honestly the whole "only used for the damage" is a core problem with the game, and also a core problem with D3 and ANY system that uses infinite scaling HP as your only challenge for "endgame". I honestly hate the greater rifts model for endgame. I wish they hadn't gone down this route again. It sucks. Inferno was way better as a "hardcore" endgame than pits/greater rift. Especially with an open world game where all the dev time went into that, they should focus on a variety of experiences and going around the world at endgame, not running through the same generic pits over and over again. But that also shows why D4 is such a starkly inferior game to D3. It lacks memorable setpieces and lots of unique levels, which at least made greater rifts less boring to play, not to mention bounties being more interesting because the world was more interesting. There is basically not a single memorable setpiece level in D4, and hence no interesting levels to remix in pits. Sure, there are 1 or 2 interesting plot moments in terms of cinematics or whatever, but levels? Nothing comes to mind. It's all the same bland corridors with flip a lever bullshit. Maybe they should have just repurposed the openworld areas as pits if they had to do that, it would be at least semi more interesting to run around a huge outdoors area killing monsters than pits are currently.
Perra Gaming told the truth, Blizzards screwed up again and screwed up the whole game. What the hell is going on?
Best decision of my gaming life was to quit playing d4 mid s2 and discovered the divinely game of POE and fully indulge with it and never look back to d4 prolly ever again.
Looking forward to POE 2... I'm very tired of Blizzard screwing the players and game over because they can't manage stats... The fact that we're still talking about STASH SPACE tells you just how incompetent they are.
I'm so with you on these changes... They say they want to make things easier, but completely doing the opposite, at least for most of us... Unless you have millions of hours of free time to grind all that shit, you will not have much fun any more... I hope they reconsider some of it at least...
I'm just glad I didn't pre order the DLC
When the game first came out I joked that it would be out of beta around season 6. Guess I was wrong. Hard to believe this game will make over a billion dollars. POE 2 can't come out soon enough, D4 doesnt deserve anymore money.
It's already over 1bil homie.
Lol you think PoE2 will make a billion? Bahahaha
Season 6 is going to be an absolute fail, probably the worst they have ever done and possibly the end of D4.
They keep changing the game every season (and every update), and this is becoming tiresome and unforgiving.
There is going to be NO WAY for casual players to obtain a mythic, they have just dumbed the game to hell dogs and back!
Time to find something else to play, that is fun!
I laugh way to hard at that "another happy customer" joke
But. But….you CAN temper and masterwork regular legendary items. Not as far as ancestral, but he’s making it sound like you can’t at all.
Scroll from Hordes should add one tempering roll
Stats squishy? More like loot squishy
Rax actually bald? That's why the hoodie? No way.
legendaries also give you aspects, but yeah. We will see how rare ancestrals really are on live. Maybe 6 boards would be better, but force the player to get the legendary node before they open up the next board. That way people just don't run to the next glyph. Not sure how long it will take someone to actually get to 300 paragon, but I am thinking not everyone is going to get there, and not everyone is going to get their glyphs maxxed out too. Does that mean there will be a much bigger divide between the top players and the rest of us? Probably.
Itemization is too much rng. Tempering pure rng, enchanting rng, masterworking pure rng. Im sick of that.
The voice is great and the text made me laugh so hard, I need to change the wall color..😂
I see the $25 follower trash vendor being added to the shop page this season…..
They could have atleast let us level up glyphs via other content like horde, dn and pits . I hate pit and I have no idea the xp required to max just 1 glyph
D4 finally gets to a satisfying gameplay loop with ironed out(not perfect, but good) systems and then the chodes go on and decide to reinvent the wheel. I foresee a replay of s0-s2 in our future after VoH release. Then they'll spend the next 4 seasons undoing all the bs they're changing in October...
I love how I'm going to lose my Ring of Starless Skies with 3 GAs for this bullshit lmao.
Shame Blizzard won't listen and even if someone from Blizzard did watch this and agreed they would purposely not do anything to make it better. See Blizzard is a woke arrogant company and how dare you think you can tell the great Blizz what is or isn't good. Their mentality is shut up and give us another billion in micro tractions and take what is given. We are sheep. We all keep playing anyway and sadly enough it appears with the money spent on stupid cosmetic items the store is here to stay.
I came back for Season 4, but they broke my Barb at the end of it, yet again. So I'm now happily ignoring this game again.
awww poor baby didn't have enough seasons with the #1 spot?
No, I didn't play 2,3, 5 now 6 because it's crap.
@Swordscope3 maybe less of having to be at the #1 spot and more of DEI ruining diablo.
There’s a slight difference between “not being #1” and “borderline unplayable”. Not including bugs, Barb was pretty firmly on the latter on the PTR dude.
I felt the same way but started a rogue and it turned out to be fun a f
just let us make fucking big dam and make harder difficulties aaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
The main changes are so simple and "numerical". For the love of God I hope they implement them.
Armory and auction house are pretty much mandatory, it’s crazy that aren’t in game.
Spiritborn in season 6 is coming at Barb with a cucumber...
Took me a while to notice this but glyphs are organised alphabetically
If they don’t buff my barb back up I ain’t playing😂
"Another happy customer" ......... " Fuc******" 🤣🤣🤣😂
As a Dad gamer with 17 jobs, 245 kids and 94 wives I find an Auction House to be a necessity. But IMO if you add that then you need a SSF mode.
What’s the point of even having an Eternal Realm. I grind hard with an already maxed out character and glyphs only to dismantle everything at the start of the next season, as everything becomes legacy gear. Why can’t they implement an armoury at least.
Why I need to make a new character every season is just strange to me. Adopting something like Destiny 2’s model, where you can carry your character across seasons and keep pushing their skill level higher, would probably make it more interesting. But that’s just me complaining about my character getting wiped every time there’s a new patch.
I couldn’t agree more on the itemization in ptr. It’s garbage. Two options can fix this. One, like Perra said just revert it to basically what it is now. Or they can keep ancestral items rare and allow you to temper 750s twice and get 12 masterworks. If one of these don’t happen season 6 is looking grim at least for me.
I really hope they dont F it up. Season 5 is awesome. They have a good base in place. Trying yo change too much too quick while boning the players is a great way to give yourself a fatass L. Get it right Blizz.
Buy the Voh expansion today and Immediately:
1. Unlock ALL master gear work for Legendary gears and above.

Il take it!
For me with how rare ancestrals were on the PTR, grinding out gear is just going to feel like a chore, where instead of when completing the chore you can relax and enjoy the fruits of your labour. You instead wander over to the blacksmith, brick it and then the chore starts over again.
Not only are ancestrals horribly rare, but they are needed to get for my liking too much decently into torment 3. Then when they do drop, they have completely dumb combinations of affixes on them which are not really that useful when put together on the same item. So not only do you have to play for hours to get an ancestral with decent affixes and maybe more than 1 GA on it to drop, but then you have to play the tempering lottery where the game at least for me on the PTR liked to roll the same stat 6 times in a row (4 of which on 2 items was the same stat and the same value of that stat in a row).
So all this work just to get gear to get towards the higher level torments... Smashed into a 3 month season where at the end everything is reset. Might be good for the teenagers with no job and school holidays, and the streamers who can play all day long. But the rest of us with lives outside of D4 will hardly get anywhere. And that is where an AH would be useful... Just for those who cant play all the time and want to experience some higher content, or for those who dont want to grind as much. For me a grind is okay, but in a season, where time is limited making a nearly endless grind is pointless. For those who feel like an AH would ruin leaderboards... Simple, for each item you buy from the AH, you get a penalty handicap on leaderboards. Therefore those who essentially take the easy way out will be penalised on the leaderboards. Those of us who dont give a rats rear about leaderboards, can farm the AH if we choose to and be happy.
In S6 we have so many things to do, in so little time, and who knows if I will ever even get to the raid/coop dungeon, and if I do, will I have enough time to play for hours to complete it. Probably not.
I get that a casual player may not be able to play all content due to time constraints, but I feel like 50% of the content will be out of reach of casuals because the grind takes too long, those of the casuals that can do it might just feel like its not worth it as its all reset at the end of the season.
Also... I wonder if Blizz will ever bring back a method of sneaking through a goblin portal to the treasure realm. I mean the Puzzle Ring in D3 made it a bit trivial, but having it without an item that can be crafted or sharded to gain access as a completely random thing when you meet a goblin in the wild would be fun.
Its sums up perfectly the PTR experience. Who ever sad otherwise is smoking the wrong shit. It is so bad when ever I log on and city hopping no more 12-21 ppl in the area, some place even less, lots players already gave up, why would anyone chase gear when it will turn into dog poop in less than 30 days. I was a sucker to pre order
Just when you grind for days, you've got to grind more because these idiots keep changing the game to make you go f'n nuts and eventuality QUIT!
They need to push back the exspansoin
Releasing expansion in bad state is good for blizzard. Content for couple of next seasons trying to fix it. Just like now since season 4
Everything you said, especially the part about us dad gamers playing in the eternal realm, makes it pointless to play. I'm going back to Diablo 2.
Ironically my 2 least favorite aspects of the game: bosses being boring and dungeons being color by numbers level design don’t seem to have been addressed. That and cringelord primarily being good if you sacrifice their one class defining aspect (minions). If pets aren’t good (at endgame, not for the 20 minutes it takes to level) you’re just a sad emo sorcerer.
D4 is fundamentally uninspired (design by checklist), and honestly the feeling I get was it was rushed because immortal was so poorly received. So many features that don’t matter or actively suck, so little that actually is awesome. Will still probably play, at least until a better competing title is released. But even as a proverbial dad gamer I want better than this.
You can literally salvage horde keys and craft them.
It's just annoying to keep salvaging a bunch of trash all the time
Trading is ok just make a general chat to help keep the other traffic down and a place for everyone to express their silly ideas
Loved your view on the occultist. Like words out of my own mouth😂😂
Didn't even know there was season 6
D4 should have health and mana regen only. Like poe flask charging is the best system in new arpg because cooldowns of skills hindered your attack and momentum.
loving the dialogue, you make me chuckle 😄
Haha good job man, you nailed why I quit and uninstalled the game during the ptr.
Itemization nose dived, stat squish didn’t work, made it worse amusingly (unless they wanted 5k+ main stat?), got new broken skills and old skills feel like junk. Here’s a thought, why not have the paragon board effect how skills function instead of all this damage inflation. PS we definitely dont need 100 more para points for just main stat increase….
Ubers are trash now /590 gating is with mats, have Ubers actually a possible drop through playing the game and maybe people would enjoy the play through the game more. Like… 1 from 1-100 lvl ig would feel amazing!
No drop feels good right now because it’s all unpredictable and random, no excitement, find a way to bring that back biz, even if it’s removing the power level mechanic complely
Still a massive issue with playability for all classes. Rogues seem to be the only truly built class choice. The choices and ability to diversify how you build are nice. Druids are being replaced but have been trash. Sorcs are decent but necros not having minions builds is dumb. And barbs are trash still.
I think the easier way to fix the issues with barbs having more weapon slots would be just allow all classes 2-3 weapons. 1x 2 handed weapon and 2x 1 handed weapons/shields/focus
I don’t understand why they’re trying to deviate from the blueprint that made the Diablo franchise such a good game….
What made the halo franchise so popular is that the made what everyone loved about the game even better…until they added halo 4 etc.
Homogenization is never a good idea. The way they fix it is by adjusting the values for classes that have less weapons. Each class has a theme and a class fantasy. Making everything a Barb with different abilities would be boring af. The bigger problem is that it seems the devs don't play test their own game. The state of Druids is a perfect example of that. They have done very little to address the problems the class has. Instead, they just throw out a few stat increases all willy nilly each season and call it a day. There absolutely is a way to balance Druids with Barbs in their current gear limitations but it would take actual internal testing.
@@kennyhouser3467 I agree 10000% with the class mystery and build diversity it provides but their algorithms suck ass and the actual math behind it is lazy. They implement something then nerf it to ruin because it went way crazier than they hoped. It’s as though they don’t even understand their own game mechanics.
They’re getting testing in real time from us and then switch something every season. Or add something that should’ve been added before game release.
A game needing massive overhauls a yr and DLC after launch isn’t a completed or finished or understandable game. This is a dumpster fire.
We are testers. This game is basically still in beta and we’ve paid for it.
I also think they’re trying to hard to appease the Last Epoch and POE players or whiners. I don’t understand why we’re going more towards competitors game design and game play essentially rolling over and showing their soft white underbelly and admitting theyre not the dominant pack leader….
Pretty shameful tbh
