Then he said he had to go. Point of the story, he was wearing all cosmetics from different packs. I’m fully min/max meta Andy Rogue build that gold caps daily and haven’t even purchased the next expansion yet.
If they really wanted to make some money, they would lower the price of everything in that shop by about 75%. That would put the prices into the realm of trivial for most people (or at least closer). I don't want to spend $30 on a single armor set... To get the in game currency you have to buy more of that than you need, so that makes people like me not want to plop down $50 for a bunch of it to just sit there and do nothing because nothing is priced where I can buy it (and I am not going to spend that $30 on stupid armor or a cool mount)... Decrease the price enough, and people will plop down $20 and get 2 or 3 things and be happy, and the next time something cool comes along, and they are just a little short, they will plop down another $20 because that is way easier on the pocketbook for most people. Anyway, my two copper...
I also share this opinion, but...most people don't seem to care...if they got it to spend and they want to they do... Whales rule dude... that is how mobile games have gotten so big and stupid.
If you do not buy the expansion, would you still be able to go to the new region or you get locked out from it? Is season 6 worth playing without the expansion?
Bro it's an expansion. That's like asking if you get access to phantom liberty in cyberpunk without buying it. The answer is no. And rather it's worth playing is your choice nobody else's. If you own the game try it out for a few hours when it drops if you don't like it then cool and if you do and decide to buy the expansion that's cool too. It's your choice.
MY understanding was, YOU will be able to play in the new area, BUT without the new class and You WON'T have access to the new Runewords and also the multiplayer event thing they are adding with the expansion...
ehhh, not when there is literally ZERO drip in the actual game. Literally the only cool looking items are store bought items. Everything else looks like ass
Why are people complaining about micro transactions? Like they’re compelled to buy a certain skin because they can’t control themselves and then they complain about it afterwards. lol. Blizzard is a business and they should make the shop items way better looking to entice people to buy it. There’s nothing wrong with that. I haven’t spent a single penny more than the initial cost of the game. It’s that simple.
In older games, There was cool looking shit that you could earn...or that high lvl unique or Uber in this case would look way better than they do...now. They created this disparity to push people to buy the MTX...that IS what ur missing in the point you made.
Don't know if it's covered later, but it'd be nice to be able to REPLAY the campaign with end game characters. It's not a new thing. Would actually add something to do with 100 maxed or characters. Add the new torment feature for additional challenge.
Happy for paid cosmetics to look amazing, I just wish the base game didn't look so diluted. Non-legendary armour in D3 felt like a good cosmetic base for free armour. It had good variety, nothing too crazy and most looked unique. The issue I have with D4 is a lot of the free armour is just a slightly different version of 5 or so base armour sets. Blizzard's ambition to make D4 an open world game saw a lot of the design variety such as, monsters, dungeons and armour get cut. Perhaps the expansion or future set items will fix this issue but it would have been nice if D4 world was half the size and variety was doubled.
Before game launch I was saying " No way am I buying cosmetic skins." One year later I have probably spent $100 on those skins. Some look to cool not to be rocking them in game. I am weak willed.
Elder scrolls online has been out for what 10 years now and they come out with an expansion or new chapter however, you wanna say it every year around June and you have to pay for it that’s another game that doesn’t end on top of it. The Crown store where you can buy stuff, oh my God it’s so overpriced all games do it these days all companies do it at the end of the day they are company they are about making money for their shareholders. If you went to buy a brand new car and you want upgrades do you think they should give you them upgrades for free if you’re just buying the base model, but you want the upgrades for the world doesn’t work like that what the hell are you people smoking?
LOL! Remember when pre-launch Blizzard gas-lit TF out of everyone saying that in game items will be comparable as far as looking cool to shop items? They even released some photo's and most bought it. Let that be a lesson if you didn't think it was BS from the beginning.
Great video, I love your perspective. People are always going to bitch and complain...this is an amazing game...but then again Played pong and tank as a kid
That means at least 7.5 million people have bought 1 $20 skin. Orrrrrr a couple of whales lmao but that's impressive. If the money goes back into making the game better I'm all about it.
I dunno, if you dont want to spend money on mtx...then dont...play the game. People that pay more should look cooler than you in game, including myself 😉
having to exchange 3 different types of gem fragments for 1 gem fragment is not very user friendly. I would have preferred the ability to exchange one type for another, and if you want to make it 3 for 1, that is fine, just not 3 different types.
Good update as always, but jeez - 4 minutes about some people complaining that they cannot dress up their virtual dollies for free? What are we like, 5 years old? Count your blessings that it's a decent game with no PTW system and get on with life.
This lol I care far less about skins than the actual gameplay and content of the game. The camera is so zoomed out anyways you barely even notice until you hit a loading screen or you open your inventory
I’ve paid for 3 skins. I get paid enough for it to not monetarily affect me and I play enough for it to be worthwhile in my opinion. But everyone has the own income and what they are willing to spend on a game. No one is making them purchase anything, it’s the complaining that gets to me. You’ve got hundreds of hours of fun for the cost of the game. blizzard want more money obviously as it’s a shareholder owned company that has invested a lot of time and money into this project.
The burned knights uprising was a perfect opportunity to introduce the paladin like character. Someone who fought with the cathedral of light, and after they went through the fight in hell the burned knights recruiting to try to kill the campaign characters. in walks one who stands against them, someone who has such deep rooted faith to the church he comes to warn us about the burning knights and teams with us to fight against them. Just like diablo 2 they should have released 2 new classes with the expansion because that way not EVERYONE will be playing the same new class. I think they missed a huge chance at a gigantic W by sneaking the paladin class in before launch of expansion.
IT may be next...or next year...Imo the paladin from d2 was the most basic shit ever... I was never into it... Crusader in d3 had some cool stuff but you were still mostly tanky sword and board kinda character...
Micro transactions in this game are 100% irrelevant. They have 0 impact on the game play. If people want to spend $ in skins mounts or whatever so be it. This isn't fortnite praying on little kids.
Will there be a option to keep my paragon points on all my characters through a button cause I don't wanna have to keep changing my paragon points every time I change classes that would be a lot of work stop punishing your fans
Honestly who cares about a game making tons of money off microtransactions as long as they don't affect power balance. Nothing in Diablo 4 is pay to win so buying cosmetics is strictly upto the player. I do think that if Blizzard is making that much money from microtransactions in Diablo 4 then charging for an expansion is an insult to the players and it should have been free
I think all microtransactions are bad, that being said, IF they absolutely have to have them in a game, it should be limited to ONLY cosmetics. However D4's are crazy overpriced! Drop those prices down to like $5-7 a set, and you'll end up seeing a lot more people willing to spend that money then the amount willing to spend $20-25. Not that those people don't exist, but they would end up generating more customers if they respected the limited money people have these days.
How many people stand around and look at other people's heroes? Hint, not many so why people buy them is odd to me. In the end to each his own. So ONE game at Blizzard made a BILLION dollars! Insane!
are they gonna fix the bugs!?! party invite error for one, getting pissed off with having to relog every time we invite someone to the group, also the lag, rubber banding and chat lag the game performance is terrible
I'm just a casual player enjoying the Diablo Franchise I don't buy any accessories in the game to play the game. I enjoy playing each class that's what gaming is all about. Can't wait for the expansion
I see why now when I asked the question last campfire chat if there was more renown to do it wasn’t answered lmao. I just finished mine this past season and I’ve been playing since launch. Why would they add more renown 😭
What you do is go around and collect all the side quests and then look for ones that take you to dungeons. Do the quests and the dungeon and that's 70 renown in one go. Do that a few times, get the altars and the strongholds and you're done. It doesn't take that long if you do it smart
They did answer a renown question already. That's probably why they ignored it. They said the new region would have a new type of alter and it's own renown. I haven't done it in a year lol I think it's cool to do it again.
My issue with the shop/microtransactions is that a lot of the pass and in game items are ass compared to the quality of items you can purchase. Now you obviously don't have to purchase anything from the shop to play the game and have the highest power, it is purely cosmetic, but at least pretend you are making an effort with the pass and in game items that you are not charging for.
I thought the armor from season 2 and season 5 (premium, not free) was good. The free stuff aside from a select few sets is universally trash. However... this game is so zoomed out that I don't know what difference it really makes. I wish we had set items again with distinct visuals. And we need stats that affect ability visuals too. It feels kind of flat right now except for hitting for bigger and bigger numbers.
Still lower numbers than Candy Crush by King, which is a partner of Blizzard and Activision. I think Diablo 4's development process is carefully calculated and they are "unlocking" the game strategically as time goes by and calling it "we hear the community". There's probably a war happening between developers and artists who comes from "real games" and marketing people who constantly pushing mobile monetization agendas. Game will be complete around 2028 and they'll start to milk it even harder with releasing it on mobile long before that.
I'm sure they could make even more money from MTX if they would lower the just absolutely ludicrous prices. There have been a few sets where I thought "that looks good I would like to have that". But then you're expected to pay about 30 bucks for a single transmog set. Who in their right mind actually pay this? I usually say whatever floats your boat to things like this but if you actually pay an expansion level price for a single transmog you are a moron with more money than he should have.
@@JoblessBuhdda nothing they literally print money for them selfs with the cosmetics they always will because we all like shinies plan and simple i havent but as you heard plenty others did and it will never stop it will just get worse nickel and dime you.
I want! - Bring the iconic campfire back - Allow us to customize dye colors - Uncap paragon points. - Lower shop prices and I might consider. - Stop changing the game every season.
hey @chrisnatas39 so technically he isn't level 200...he's lvl 50 with a paragon lvl of 201...the paragon levels now will function similar to that of D3 (if i got that correctly from the available info)...in total we should get a total of 325 paragon levels...so a fully maxed out leveled character should be lvl 60 with a paragon level of 325 (anyone can feel free to correct me if im wrong)
The cash shop flat out should just go away. Im sorry but mtx have no place in full priced games, be it cosmetic or otherwise ourside of paying for a dlc. Games used to have bad ass skins that were tied to player achievements, not to money. These skins were one of the reasons that players would go out of their way to do challenges and the like. Them being tied to real money now, is just flat out stupid. And to those people who defend mtx, even cosmetic ones, you are part of the problem and are just defending corporate greed, which is ruining gaming. These billion dollar companies are laughing all the way to the bank while you defend them nickel and diming the player base. Cash shops were the worst thing in gaming history to stick around as long as they have.
Meh i gotta disagree i just think some people are just to simply satisfide as i think majority of all cosmetics in the shop are pretty much trash. Ya they are over the top compared to base game stuff but a gold polished turd is still a turd.
This constant Seasonal $$$ crap is ruining video games. Everyone is so sucked in by it and keep paying and paying. Willfully ignorant. Call of Duty and D4 is so disgusting 🤮
They’ve got time for this but won’t make your Eternal items 800 item power instead of 540. Personally idc about this MTX stuff, doesn’t bother me in the least. But I’m still bitter that they’re resetting Eternal Realm again.
If you play eternal no one cares lol this is a seasonal game not built for eternal. I can't believe how much has actually been added for eternal character. But they said from the start they will not be prioritizing the eternal realm.
Blizz can make much more money in the cash shop if they make it like poe and the sorc cosmetic sets are "woke" af or some look very nice on female character but gay af on male
There is absolutely nothing wrong with micro transactions in games, BUT, how expensive the skins are in Diablo is insane. On average $30 a piece is pure greed.
I think we will see a reduction in price now. 1 year in and positive profit margins. Now they will transition into keeping people buying here and there. Another year and we will see reduction in quality as they move talent on to other projects.
There is these days. The model is to focus on them to generate long term revenue over game quality. They just do the bare minimum to get initial sales, and it gets even worse when the game is live service. It takes them a year or more after launch to get the game in a state it should have been when it was released on live service models. All the micro's are overpriced in every game now. They make it even worse by having it tied to an in game premium currency that is priced in such a way that you always have some left over. Why not just buy the next package up and get more? At the end of the day it is the fault of the players fueling the system. No different than simps paying OF girls.
still sad that the old guy is a spiritborn and not a witch doctor with how much he spoke of the unformed lands I thought spiritborn and shaman came from the same place
Layoffs? Likely just dei hires that weren't very important to production. They've made a tremendous amount of money since launch, and so its very clearly a profitable venture. This creates a situation in which only FAT will be cut from the meat of the team.
They made 1 billion dollars and yet Microsoft still fired a very large number of Blizzard/Activision employees. So I guess all that money mainly went to the company/CEOs.
How Blizzard will laugh at us asking for better looking cosmetics that are earnable in game. I'm laughing too hard as well imagining that; their laughter is contagious.
at this point there is literally no point of having a full quarter season. everyone knows what to do already because all streamers are racing to push out information as quick as they can. this happened to d3 1 season is full quarter players, players play for max 1 month and go with their favorite streamer and plays what they play. Season 5 specifically if you watched 3 videos or more day 2 of playing d4 for 3-5 hours a day, you already did all ubers and lilith. no point in playing any further.... lets say you get all 4 ga ubers! what content are you going to use those for ?
That's simply not true. Not everyone just blasts their way to all the endgame content and then quits once they get there. Some people, like myself, actually enjoy playing the game, trying new builds, etc... I've played at least 3-4 hours a day since the season started, on the days when I have played (job/life don't permit me to play every day) and I still haven't beaten Lilith.
I have come to the decision that season 5 will be my last with D4. With all the bugs they have had in previous seasons and the constant changes so you never can get your footing in the game, I am done. Season 6 and the once again massive changes with even more bugs going to be put in, I am just done being a beta tester for this.
Anyone else remember when you bought a game you had access to all of its contents? And youd have to unlock and earn the cool stuff? Now ifs just 10 kids dad swiping credit card gaming because he can only play 2 minutes a day and it's not fair to him he cant sink as much time into a game anymore but still wants to be relevant online..
Diablo's cosmetics are just too fucking expensive for what you get...$25 for a premium outfit is outrageous...if they were cheaper I might buy a few of them but the current prices are just outrageous...
The armory will be accessed through the wardrobe, which is why they made it mobile. Armory will be soon. Honestly wouldn't be shocked if mid season 6 patch had it
Oh and saying most people enjoy getting ripped off with deleveling plus can only get 300 for all characters that means I gotta keep going back and forth what a load of s#*t f$&k blizzard I don't feel sorry for them releasing a half a$$ game

Point of the story, he was wearing all cosmetics from different packs. I’m fully min/max meta Andy Rogue build that gold caps daily and haven’t even purchased the next expansion yet.
If you don't want to buy cosmetics, don't. It's a business. Get over it.
Don’t see the issue with how much money Blizz is earning. If they didn’t earn then they would fire staff and then the game will suffer.
MTX doesn’t bother me at all as long as it doesn’t give an advantage making it pay to win
If it’s just for drip it’s fine imo
ehhh, not when there is literally ZERO drip in the actual game. Literally the only cool looking items are store bought items. Everything else looks like ass
What happens to the SKINS, Items people do not get in the Seasons ? Can you purchase them later in shop ?
I would buy cosmetics if everything I would like wasn't class specific.
While I'm at it, make those useless obles currency to buy ladder boss materials or transcendent shards.
No need to fix what isn’t broken.
Before game launch I was saying " No way am I buying cosmetic skins." One year later I have probably spent $100 on those skins. Some look to cool not to be rocking them in game. I am weak willed.
Same. Played since launch. Wasn't ever a thought to spend more money. But, I get really into my characters and some cosmetics just look cool!
The Internet is bullying me for spending my money on MTX that doesn't buff me😢. Get a job. So you can pay for MTX too.
That means at least 7.5 million people have bought 1 $20 skin. Orrrrrr a couple of whales lmao but that's impressive. If the money goes back into making the game better I'm all about it.
with the runes beeing able to make mythics and beeing able to be traded , real money is gonna hit big on the black marcket
I would buy the armor set form shop if could be used on all classes not just one
You can buy the game and the expansion for the same amount I paid for when it first came out.
I bet he's glad that resume is up to date and accurate now, huh?
It's actually a fake resume it's been debunked on reddit.
Imagine if they have hidden playable class reserved only for expansion release date - burned knight!
So If I don't buy the XP I will miss out on a whole area. Which I expected. But will miss out on 4 paragon points then those who did. Woe cool.
atm the paragons were around 200...now you can earn up to 300, with the new way things are changing.
This dude videos have to ALWAYS be watched with snacks... its highly entertaining. 👏👏
Good update as always, but jeez - 4 minutes about some people complaining that they cannot dress up their virtual dollies for free? What are we like, 5 years old? Count your blessings that it's a decent game with no PTW system and get on with life.
I paid for the game and I want all the content, I aint playing for free
I'll pay you to stfu. Once paid, never say again. @@jzzz121
These guys are defending MTX in a paid game and think that I am the clown 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Gotta say the same thing when people are saying this is D4s last chance blah blah, casual players are going to keep this thing alive no matter what.
@@douglasduda9826 I ran a fist of heavens, hammer, smiter tribrid.
But people who dont deliver results shouldnt get to stay, like in most industries.
Please be careful when you say "you get something in Diablo 4 for free". D4 is faaaar away from free.
I just see “freebies” as in-game items baked into the cost of what we already paid.
D4 is pretty awesome. I hated it at first, but have had the best time this season . ❤❤
did you say Eru as Elder Spiritborn... Eru name les think... Aaah i remember Middle Earth God Name is "Eru" xD
150M of the 1B in revenue isn’t that much….
Yeah, and considering it's revenue, not profit.
What do you expect? 50%? Lol
@@6MikeJones9 don't care really, as long as they're successful.
After earning 8 billion this season i can agree 150 mil is nothing
Not that much? That's like 12%! I'm sure you'd be pissed if the goverment took 12% off of your balance
It doesn't matter what my sorc is wearing when the screen is covered in frozen ball sacks.
I cant wait to play spiritborn. I am so hyped!
Okay I see serval RUclipsrs post the same video about this 😂
I think all microtransactions are bad, that being said, IF they absolutely have to have them in a game, it should be limited to ONLY cosmetics. However D4's are crazy overpriced! Drop those prices down to like $5-7 a set, and you'll end up seeing a lot more people willing to spend that money then the amount willing to spend $20-25. Not that those people don't exist, but they would end up generating more customers if they respected the limited money people have these days.
Only those who have no $$ complain about cosmetic MTX that have ZERO effect on gameplay
How much has poe's 'cosmetics' made over 10 years, fifty bucks?
Micro transactions don't matter at all. As long as they're not game breaking. Just make the game good for once.
Yall need to stay away from the Official D4 forums. Nothing but complaining... especially when it comes to the skins.
That outro is… a choice…
the expansion should be free plain and simple
What r u smoking????????
@@JoblessBuhdda nothing they literally print money for them selfs with the cosmetics they always will because we all like shinies plan and simple i havent but as you heard plenty others did and it will never stop it will just get worse nickel and dime you.
How about some good looking sorc armor? This seasons makes me look like I’m wearing a garter belt. 😂😂😂 on a male character it looks awful.
I want!
- Bring the iconic campfire back
- Allow us to customize dye colors
- Uncap paragon points.
- Lower shop prices and I might consider.
- Stop changing the game every season.
More like microtransaction for the prices they offer...
even expansion is paid so greedy. they're already rich on mtx sale why do they need to sell expansion
Because nothing is free.
Cosmetics are mostly trash. They need to focus more on gameplay and content.
Season 6 forward no longer need to install the game! Wub wub *\o/*
stupid question maybe . how is your character over lvl 200?
In the ptr and season 6 max character level is 60 and paragon level 300
hey @chrisnatas39 so technically he isn't level 200...he's lvl 50 with a paragon lvl of 201...the paragon levels now will function similar to that of D3 (if i got that correctly from the available info)...in total we should get a total of 325 paragon levels...so a fully maxed out leveled character should be lvl 60 with a paragon level of 325 (anyone can feel free to correct me if im wrong)
@@EAcademy ooooh ok , thanks for clearing that up I was big confused lmao
Bro, the devs said like a year ago that the eternal realm will never be the priority. This is a SEASONAL game my dude
What a fuckin joke. 1 billion dollars and they still laying people off
Blizz can make much more money in the cash shop if they make it like poe and the sorc cosmetic sets are "woke" af or some look very nice on female character but gay af on male
what's wrong with the male Sorc looking gay? as a gay guy, I like that. you a hater or something? 🤔🧐
@@d4mephisto On the other side i'd like to have badass male sorc not some skinny dude with mascara
@@d4mephisto im not, they just look very silly on male character :D
Its tough? Sir you do realize that they all receive 19 monthly salaries upon cancelation of position and stock options release yes? :)

still sad that the old guy is a spiritborn and not a witch doctor
with how much he spoke of the unformed lands I thought spiritborn and shaman came from the same place
I really wanted a paladin tho :(
season 6 will hitty makes the game more shitty 💩
No one likes mass layoffs, but before making statements like that educate yourself on Gross and Net revenue and income.
How Blizzard will laugh at us asking for better looking cosmetics that are earnable in game. I'm laughing too hard as well imagining that; their laughter is contagious.
If you're ever thinking of buying microtransactions, please give the money to charity instead lol!
I’m good on that
Drip is forever!
Hows paying the employees to keep the game running?
@@zutterlee6206 All the ones they just laid off after making billions you mean?
@@steveozone4910 is that the profit the game made? They still need money to pay for employees and etc to keep the games running.
at this point there is literally no point of having a full quarter season. everyone knows what to do already because all streamers are racing to push out information as quick as they can.
this happened to d3 1 season is full quarter players, players play for max 1 month and go with their favorite streamer and plays what they play.

So instead of doing armory they add a mobile wardrobe, asked literally no one😂 useless
The armory will be accessed through the wardrobe, which is why they made it mobile. Armory will be soon. Honestly wouldn't be shocked if mid season 6 patch had it

2.) DPS meter
3.) Fix Steam Bugs
4.) Revert barb nerfs
