ExtremeTerrain.com good job! Love seeing that companies prove girls can do stuff just as good if not better than us guys. I’m of the opinion that if this world was run strictly by women instead of old white guys we wouldn’t have all the problems we have today
I have the origional and IA doesnt have android updates so 5 yrs later apps are crashing after updating in the play store. Cust support is lacking at best. Radio reception ALWAYS sukked even with the inline ant booster. Be glad you didnt waste your $$
Video is the perfect length and has just the right amount of detail to help someone who isn't car savvy like myself navigate around the console and get the head unit in and out. Thanks! As a footnote, the 7mm socket felt a little loose on the screws, but it did work.
I like the OEM look to this but that font alone is a reason to pass on this head unit even if it was $300. How hideous. Just go with no logo at all for a truly OEM look. why don’t manufacturers understand that is what some consumers prefer?
At first I scrolled right past this b/c the price tag is pretty hefty but it does have a loooooot of good features. I’m glad I watched this video. I really might go for this option instead.
IronskullGM Yap, ip66.. I ruined a pricey radio the first week I had my Jeep.. I keep my drain plugs pulled so the rain doesn’t stop me.. but I refuse to continue replacing radios cause I don’t want to cover up.. never an issue with this bad boy
So..... You disconnect the U Connect module, does that mean you lose stearing wheel functions? The phone adapter... Looks like an old iPhone plug.... Not good for Android... Third, no blue tooth for phone? Can't see spending $1200 fire something that is outdated
johnccooperworks I have this unit and the BT works great.. steering wheel radio features work. If you have ever lost a radio in the rain then the ip66 on this unit will never be penetrated from rain.. many of the other ip66 units on the market don’t even do a quarter of what this unit does.. and the other units are double and even more than double the $$$
love the part and the video only worry is someone stealing it i wouldn't feel comfortable taking my doors or top off with a 1,200 radio in it both my parents had their stereos stolen 2 or 3 times both sooooo
Aaron Zubiate no CD player with this unit. It has SD card slot, that allows you to have what ever you need. as well as the factory set storage capacity: this radio is sp66 rated.. you can power wash it and it will be ok. If you enjoy the top off and don’t care if the rain gets you.. as I am and have ruined 1 well priced radio the first week I had my Jeep. this radio is a must have.

The price doesn't turn me off, but the insane audio font sure does. I can't imagine putting that in my Jeep...
Can the font insane audio be removed with a solvent or lacquer?
aggreed
I was just thinking the same. Anyway to remove it? Or make it more..... subtle?

I bought this radio at Jeep Invasion in August. Very easy to install and looks great.
Ahhhhhhhh ...... the Queen of Hearts
Kudos to you without breaking a nail
Does it support sat radio? If you have uconnect can you use the existing Mic?
Firespyer for $1200 it better have satellite
@@raldogtm doesn't. Only via app

Cuz they're more worried about advertising than what we think
Where is the uconnect module to unhook
Will this fit on a 2010 jk?

ARE YOU CRAZY ?? Almost 1200$!!!
For nav, it's pretty reasonable. As far as "normal" prices go that is.
For all that it offers, nothing else comes close. Any other water proof units are closer to $3K
Is this radio available in European languages ... like Swedish?
How do you take out the u-connect module? Asking for a 2014 Jeep Sahara.... : )
What is its water resistance?
IP66 Enclosure - IP rated as "dust tight" and protected against heavy seas or powerful jets of water.

Yes this has a Bluetooth connection for phones, Yes your steering wheel controls still work, also it has much more.
Y J satellite ready?
Raldo Maria
It does not hook up to the XM Sirius in an optioned Jeep. You would have to get an external setup "plug in" for satellite.
it has blue tooth

Then don't take your doors or top off 🤷♂️
I have this in my Jeep with about 3k worth of DS18 stereo equipment and during the summer top and doors stay off and it sits in driveway not garage
Just toss a "beware of owner" sticker with a picture of a gun on it. I hear it's just like the adt signs for your yard for deterrent
@@jerrytipsword3033 how to you like the ds18 stuff? I'm debating that and wetsounds
@@JasonNeri its not bad at all. I ended up switching all my amps over to Sundown Audio SFB series. They are easier to tune and sound better to me
This might have been a good video but I couldn't get passed the aggravating noise in the background.
That's insane audio to you sir.
There's a lot more information about this stereo not covered. I have one in my Jeep.
Y J how is the off road navi?
fishentexas Navigation works great for me, on road or offroad plus you can download any apps you want.
if the uconnect is disabled does the steering wheel controls work still?
Does it have a cd player?

R.I.P Ryan
That was kinda of a overview and install. Not a review.
Insane price 😆
$1200???!!!! Shitt does it make the car fly or something???
The music is way too loud...I can barely hear what she's saying
Sweet baby Jesus turn the music down
Android horse shit. For that money I’ll buy the alpine wrangler restyle with carplay
Insane Audio support is garbage...
You need a better rep
What junk
