GreT video...thanks! I am installing today and was wondering about the purpose of the Insane Audio speaker. What is that used for and is it needed. Can you just use the stereo speakers installed instead?
Damn!! This is sick! I have the 7” screen on my JT, been thinking about buying the OEM 8.4”, I don’t need navigation, I can get that with apple CarPlay right now on my 7” screen. But my main thing is I need the off road pages to show on big screen with all my vehicle stats and gauges. Can you show how the off road pages works and how the vehicle stats/gauges work?? Edit: I think only rubicon models have off-road pages, mines a rubicon. If this unit can’t do off road pages, then it’s not for me.
00ninja00 I apologize for the late reply, the unit has a built in GPS. It won’t show traffic data but it will show all the maps and roads and get you to the destination you are trying to get to off and on road. If you want traffic data all you have to do is connect to Apple car play or turn on your hotspot on your phone and connect the head unit to your hotspot.
@@LSpringer14 when using google maps or WAZE you can view real time traffic data. Unfortunately there is still no accurate traffic trend in Apple Maps.
Off road pages is not navigation. It’s a feature on rubicon models where it shows all the gauges of stats of your vehicle, it shows the roll and tilt of your vehicle, and other things like wheel psi etc, but not on the drivers small screen, it’ll bring it up on the main infotainment screen. That’s what I was wondering if this unit in the video can do that?
00ninja00 oh okay, unfortunately I don’t have the answer to that question. I only have a sport. If you contact Insane audio and ask them, they will be able to answer your question.
Unrelated to the radio or the Jeep.....but I have the same wedding ring but in a wider band. Brazilian wood wrapped around recycled sterling silver in a 10mm band. 🤙🏻
Logan Springer the Jeep factory settings that are in the factory head unit. For instance, horn beep when unlocking, one door unlock, all doors unlock, etc.
Christopher Wester so did you have the 7 inch radio or the 8.4 inch radio? In the video I only had the 5 inch radio. So I didn’t have those features. I know I can adjust the volume and ac controls with the unit but I’m not sure about the other features you would probably have to contact Insane audio directly for your answer.
@@LSpringer14 I have the 5" screen in a 2018 JL and I can tell you that it does have those options like honk when locking, etc. I also have the factory aux switches. I've reached out to insane with all of these questions.
@@ryankratochvil9299 it honestly just depends on what your jeep came with. My jeep does not come with those options. I don't have electric doors/windows or aux switches. I believe the had unit does allow you to adjust the factory settings but to be safe please contact insane audio.

Update on anyone following this video. You do not need to download anything for Apple car play to work on the JL3001 head unit.

That speaker is the back up obstacle warning sound. It replaces the OEM sound.

00ninja00 also, this fits and work with both sport and rubicon. The Jeep you see in the video is my 2018 Jeep JL Unlimited Sport.

is it compatible with satellite radio?
It is! Its an all around capable solid upgrade.
You can bypass it so you can watch videos and everything while on the move not just with the parking brake pulled up
Where do you get that bypass?
@@omarnava8687 any car audio store should be able to do it for you. I've had all of my radios bypassed so I can use the entertainment while driving
