To think it does same speed as sv650 which 100cc less.. what happen to suzuki nowdays...
for topspeed it's not about cc, it's only about power at the weel.
Completely agree. My sv650s looks nicer and has similar preference. I have no desire to buy the new model
GSX-8S is low geared and the top speed is almost the same as that of SV650 although the max power is higher by around 10 PS. This means the acceleration performance of 8S is high.

It's limited. It could easily go faster. there was a RUclips video i saw with the bike on dyno and engine is nerfed above certain rpm until the redline. They recon that engine can easily do at least 100hp
Probably needs a taller top gear ? It got to 200 kph pretty quickly, but the power had dropped away by the look of it...there again, on a naked top speed isn't a big that important.
maybe, because max power is at 8,5k rpm, and in my video you see 9,5k. But for a naked bike with only 83hp there's not much more to gain in topspeed.

Modified, it'll turn out exactly 15 more horsepower at the wheel at the max revs you achieved.
There's a lot of potential in this bike for all around fun, racing, everything else.
but also stock it can make fun :)

but this bike is a better bike with a very decent suspension, very good brakes and new eletronics. MT07 now competes with sv650 and z650. This 8s and hornet 750 are on another level even though to me, sv650 is still the queen of middleweight affordable bikes.

Strange! The top speed on the Video says 206kmh but the bike TFT on the bike showed 216kmh?
Nothing strange here. Speedometers are usually inaccurate by about 5% when showing speed. And thats made on purpose by manufacturer.
Top speed in the video was measure by GPS device also, which is a lot more precise.
As Pavel said, GPS is more accurate ;)

@@mototop_ mais rápido não, porque a S8 acelera mais forte. E a sv650 atinge uma velocidade final maior. Pouca coisa mas atinge.

@@edesio2104 a sv 650 morre em 180kmh e chega suando nos seus 218, 220, um pouco mais com sorte dependendo da descida, mas isso é de painel, gps não sei. A minha gladius ja cheguei em 229 de painel em descida. Mas acredito que essa gsx 8s chegue a uns 230 em uma boa descida
@@luisguilherme5652 acho que vc está enganado a minha ia bem até 220 no plano e 232 descendo mesma relação da gladius. Depois do remap ela cortava com 248 descendo e no plano.

I would say it's okay. You don't need more topspeed on a nakedbike. I would prefere better acceleration and rollon.
