It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear this. This was such an emotional performance. I don’t know how she got that out at all. 9.0 The lyrics were personal. I couldn’t disagree with you more Dave. It is a beautiful song. And she performed it masterfully.
David, that’s not my cup of tea either but, I’m surprised you didn’t mention she was crying because I’m sure you saw the tears. That was a superlative emotional moment. And the lyrics man, the best of that performance was the message 🤷🏼♂️ she almost committed suicide months before that show.
thank you so much for that reaction. This song is very special to me. Great reaction. Thanks. Only thing, she restarted the music, because she was crying. This song she released after overdosing.
I don't see that one in the que, so it would have to be a fresh request. You can suggest songs on here, and if your suggestion happens to already be in the que, I am more than happy to add your name to the requesters of that song. However in order to make fresh brand new requests, you have to be a Bronze Tier member on the Patreon page. It's only $5 per month and you can make fresh requests, along with watch all the videos I've done that RUclips blocked and participate in Patreon community events and enjoy exclusive content for Patreon members only.

Distrust the Gammies, too. Oh sure growing up I didn't know better and then Natalie Cole won a bunch for essentially a sing-a-long album and that was it for me. Donesville. Now, for the song. Great. Musically, tonal, phrasing, everything... just really great. Lyrically, however (and and its really the entire point, isn't it?) is where I depart. The emotional weight, while understandable, and even more common than not, is still, sung from a from conclusion of hopelessness. It's immensely depressing, but not for a reason one might suspect. This song is one example I refer to as a reason it is difficult to enjoy and relate to on a personal level, for here we have a suffering heart, questioning, searching, and it ends there. I sincerely believe it just doesn't _have_ to be that way. Compare Lovato's approach to, say, the approach taken by Bart Millard when he sings " _They say sometimes you win some , sometimes you lose some... And right now, right now I'm losing bad... I've stood on this stage night after night reminding the broken it'll be alright... But right now, oh right now I just can't_ " He doesn't leave it there. Instead, he concludes: " _I know the sorrow, I know the hurt would all go away if You'd just say the word... But even if You don't... My hope is You alone_ " One of the reasons I stuck around this channel. We will cover things like Ledger - "My Arms" and maybe just maybe someone who wants to, _needs_ to, hear what pain turned into hope sounds like will get a chance to. Bottom line excellent performance, wish the lyrics, Lovato, reached for a different conclusion.
