I did the opposite of your statement. I made myself more attractive in front of my crush, but did not give direct signs to match his reaction seeing me. I knew he was attracted, but i acted cool and preferred to watch his next moves. This way, i could see the reality vs my expectations.

This is so good. Women are intimately familiar with the world of body language and subtle clues. Men... not so much! lol. And you do a great job explaining that "just because this happens, does not mean this 100%". Because I know from having many relationships with women, romantically and platonically, that they hate when they are just being nice... and the man suddenly thinks they are into them! (Especially with strangers, obviously).

I had very strange experiences.....
This one girl used to stare at me in the gym
Like literal scanning head to toe
She would gaze through mirrors and whenever I would catch her she would shy away and get fidgety.
Once i was standing at the elevator lobby, she saw me , turned back 180 and went down the stairs (7floors).

I think the first sign is just a reaction to her becoming aware of being observed, it really doesn't convey any attraction yet. I otherwise fully agree on touch. The sixth one can also go different ways. There are people who are confident enough to hold the gaze. It becomes more of a mutual acknowledgement, and is in my experience more common with rather attractive women. ("I know I'm attractive, what are you gonna do about it?")
Apparently according to my coworkers I missed the signs a woman who worked in the office that liked me in this way. I retired from my warehouse job, a 33 year gig, at 55 still single at the end of 2019. Never went back for a visit. We are friends on FB but it never amounted to anything.

I have a coworker who likes to feed me. I'll be sitting in the breakroom and she'll be like "Here I just got this new food, try this!" She'll come in my personal space and start to hand feed my mouth, especially if I'm not paying attention.

had this with a girl i approached the other day: chatted her up, she was friendly, chatty etc. we talked for a few minutes, then her female friend came and they decided to get sth to eat, and she asked me to come with them and while we were waiting to get some food, she was facing me. When I made a joke, she laughed and literally touched my upper arm twice. okay I know I may be an idiot but hear me out - Im at a party and a girl I know is quite touchy-feely with her friends, gives them hugs and all that but then after dancing with me she sits down next to me and pretty much lies down resting on me in a way that my arm embraces her, her head rests on my chest and she gently caresses my arm. And this happens on 2 sepate occasions on different days. Also, she's siting next to me and basically puts her thigh over my knee. And at the end of the night when saying goodbye we give each other a long hug, she pressed her head against mine and afterwards looks at me and smiles for few seconds before going home.
