Are there any questions you still have that I should talk about during my next live stream?
This cannot be a GOXLR replacement because it doesnt have the voice sampler or mixer functions. This device is ment to replace the GOXLR "Mini"
are you able to still use a dac and amp with the beach mix?
is there a way to use two mics with it? I use a desk mic for streaming and when I am at my pc but when I am just in discord I use my wireless headset mic so I can still chat with friends. is there an easy way to switch between the two using this?
Does it have a streamdeck integration
Does it EQ and compression 🤔
That new intro animation though 🔥
fiverr video paid off lol
Yeah I'm going to buy the mix create because of you. I already have an audio interface for my XLR mic so I didn't want something big and bulky like a go-xlr plus they are really expensive. This is perfect, super compact and has all the features I would need and use. Thanks Harris and keep up the good work!
I just got my Mix Create and I would have been lost without this. BEACN's documentation is literally non-existent except for a "Getting Started" page on their site.
Thank you for this. Awesome job!!
This was soooo in depth I honestly wish more RUclipsrs would explain as clearly as this! Great job Harris! 👌
I am so definitely getting this when they're back in stock. This will LITERALLY solve all of my audio issues I'm currently running into. thank you Harris.
I just love the designs Beacn has created with the mix it looks so simple, elegant and easy to use.
These are things I looked for years ago! It's nice to see this tech finally appearing :)
Best tutorial on the web. Working like a charm!
Thank you for the extremely helpful video. I had no clue how totweak my sound on my stream to improve anytrhing before watching your video. Now I've bought a Beacn Mix Create and followed your step and now I'm extremely happy with the end product. Keep up the good work dude!
I agree with you and the switching from your hearing to the chat thing.
That was a great video, it seems like they did a really good job trying to think of everything. Thanks for covering everything in detail!
Changing to audience mode, which unlocks the mixer for easier variations is a great addition I never thought to suggest! Thanks!
I am SO ENGAGED. Thanks for this!
I was just able to order the beacn mix create today . Thanks for the video Am very excited to use this since I have been having a crap ton of issues with my two pc setup..
Adding this to a playlist I'm making, thank you for the value.
Thank you so much!!!! I absolutely needed the help setting up my audio for the Mix Create, and this absolutely helped me getting this setup.
this is a year old, but if anyone (like me) has a need for outputting multiple audio channels simultaneously, this is a perfect addition to my setup! with this mixer I can not only go from outputting audio in realtime to 2 channels to 4! effectively I can use my main headphones (plugged into my dac), my speaker (plugged into my motherboard), my wireless headphones (plugged in via aux on the goxlr) AND output via line out to a streaming pc, all while being able to have all of it playing in sync, controlled by my stream deck (to an extent). additionally it allows for any goxlr/mini user to utilize a fader for each of the 8 channels available with the goxlr software, WITHOUT having to buy a second goxlr product OR deal with latency over a second device AND gain a second routing table!!
Setting mine up this week. I will definitely re watch this video
thanks for this video man, I ordered one and looking forward to using it.
Killer how-to as always!
Thank you so much for this video!
Definitely helps a lot to see all of these details explained in depth and the added functionality that BEACN SW has is really pushing me to upgrade. I'm grateful to have my goXLR as long as I have, but have run into various issues with it such as games like Rocket League not able to be properly routed through the goXLR audio channels and coming through silent, and some stability here and there throughout its use. My intention with the BEACN mix create is that it will solve most if not all of those issues amongst all the additional features.
I realllyyyyyy like the simplicity of this. I totally get if you have an XLR mic then the goxlr is the way to go, but I can't justify that until the stream grows. This is dope
Harris I wish I could meet you one day and just be a sponge to all of the information and wisdom you have to offer. I can honestly say, I have NEVER watched one of your videos and it not be something resourceful. Thank you for taking your time and producing the content that is necessary to help yourself as well as MANY others become more successful. Nothing more to say to this video than... Happy streaming!
BTW that intro gave me life might look into working with one of those artists you featured in the last video!
After 1 year it got a lot better! Just bought one and many things are just better now. The setup can be made automatically in one click, all apps goes into the right category by default, we have new color themes for the Mix Create, a separate knob function, and probably missing more since I just have it for 2 days. It's a must buy for content creation.
Great video again this helped me set up my beacn so much!
i was the 16 like on this video and i always love ur videos thanks for all the help the last couple of years
i like your idea that’s smart with the audience mix
top tier content! this should be at a million views by now
Looks like the device everyone wanted for years now lol luv it!
That locking idea is actually really good, I have been thinking of getting some BEACON stuff since I’m back in The States so that would be a nice effect to have with it since I’ll be rebuilding my stream set up.
this is what ive been looking for.
this is something i will have to get , awesome.....great video.
The tutorial I needed! Thank you!
Left an emoji
thank you for this tutorial 😮
My beacnmic is on the way.. and cant wait! I also love the fact you can enable the mics built in feature to turn it into a mixer which has exactly the same functionality as the beacnmix create. Really handy, considering the beacnmix create is now sold out. I will be deffo be upgrading from the goxlr.
I agree with what you said about the audience mix button.
This is ridiculously helpful, thank you.
Im excited about this product!! I don't see myself using it because I got the equipment I plan to use but it's definitely one I will recommend for people over a Shure/Go XLR set since you can get it a fraction of the cost with basically the same quality
Super helpful video, thank you!
Happy to be in Harris's Corner.
I really liked this episode of Harris' Corner
I may not have been the only one, but the press of the knob to mute to all was a suggestion of mine! Don't care if they were already planning it or if someone else had the idea first... I am claiming it.
i need this in my life im currently wrapping my head around if i can isolate my games audio so i can't hear it unless im actually on the game/app
the mix create i mean
i like harris's corner
looks cosy
ok. i need this now. sold.
Just set this up to run on my main gaming PC, but wanted to use the mic on a work laptop as well. Did the 2 PC setup described, but left my audience mic output alone. I just copied the voice chat to the line out on the routing table and added a hardware channel to control laptop volume separately. Super seamless so far
The background looks *amazing* though!! Awesome!
This would be a straight upgrade for me if it had an XLR port and a sampler ... It's still awesome but I'd miss too much of my current setup if I changed.
Coming from a SM7B and XLR, I promise you wont. The BEACN Mic sounds just as good as the SM7B and I just use the stream deck for sampling stuff. Couldn't be happier to get the giant GOXLR off my desk.
Totally agree with you. I have no reason to change to this setup, I am currently rocking GoXLR+BP40 mic. If in the future they make an XLR version, I am all in.
I love your SCP videos!!
big fan Volgun (:
@@createdbyeric Same. I sold my SM7B and GoXLR and profited $280. The BEACN sounds damn near identical for me and I got the bulky GoXLR off my desk. My only real complaint is the length of time it takes for the beacn software to load.
I like that idea of Auto Unlocking when you switch. Great idea!
that camera quality though 🔥
Sold out, just like everything else within gaming nowadays :)
i need this in my life
The idea about swapping to audience mix and being able to adjust, is perfect. There is one thing I would say, the more options the better. Maybe it could be a drop down so that the individual users could choose whether it unlocks or stays locked? I agree that it would be a wonderful suggestion to incorporate.
Looks awesome Harris. Seriously, i'm picking these up once they're all available..
I agree that the only time I'm going to check the audience mix is when I think that there is an issue with it. And locking/unlocking would be a good idea IMO, you could even control JUST the audience fader if you turn the dial while listening to the audience mix. I also think that it would be good to have a "hold" mode where it switches back to the normal mix when you release if you long press. This means you could hold to check it, and use the dial to adjust an audience volume while its held then when you release it would go back to your regular mix and lock the offset again
Dude, I just got my Mix Create and your setup guide is so much better than Beacn's setup guide.
I do agree unlocking when switching to the audience mix would be a pretty great feature to add, cutting down on clicks while you are live always helps with getting you right back into both egauging with your audience and back into what you were doing.
TLDR - minimized interruptions while you are live always welcome lol
That opening at the beginning looks clean in action, damn
Thank you 🙌
loving the corner
Thank you for the video.
love this
For the two different audio outputs you were talking about, you can actually do that on a streamdeck too, that's what I use and it's super convenient
i love the background
Not trying to throw shade at alpha gaming, just giving my own opinion here.
So, I feel for how I handle things NOW, I would hate running devices such as these for working on my Audio. I love the educational process, I love the researching process, I love the mixing process, I love my devices hooked into my Tascam model 12 Audio mixer and my Audio mixer connected to my MOTU M2 Audio interface, and my Audio interface into my PC.
I love these things, where the average user just trying to stream doesn’t.
that suggestion does make sense tbh man
Great video!
Inserts emoji here 🎶 Seriously, thank you Harris!
i agree with the audio mix
Harris, I love your videos, and showing off the new hardware...BUT/AND combo comment. BUT I have found some of your reviews a bit too kind to the products and enthusiastic to help people feel good about their purchases (and you have not done that all the time just enough that I always have goto other reviewers for more balance reviews but also watching yours). AND I find your videos like this to be the most helpful, simple , AND really interesting. I love to watch these videos to the end. I know you spend lots of time and money on your content and that does keep me coming back to enjoy your personality and efforts. I would personally really love to see you do many more 2 part videos...Pt 1 your excitement review introducing the product that validates ppls purchase...AND a longer video review like this. I personally will watch and like both videos due to your efforts to share so deeply with your subscribers.
I actually have a PC Panel, so i dont think im going to get this but it does look promising. The one problem i see with this device is the ability to control Fullscreen Apps like a Game. The PC Panel can do this and makes it super easy to control whatever game you're on without having to add it to the mix everytime you play a new game. Also i really like that the PC Panel controls volume through windows instead of controlling the volume through its own software, less room for failure really.
i think i need these!!
the auto unlock for audience mix is a great idea!
I honestly love the way the beacn mix looks. Would love for them to come out with same mix but to power an existing xlr mic like my shure and able to use high impedance headphones too
Shure actually makes an XLR to USB conversion, which would probably solve your problem with the mic. As far as the hi headphones, I run a small 3.5mm jack amp for mine out of my GoXLR to get more punch. Works like a charm
AFAIK you can use it to control the audio levels of your interface and thus XLR mic and headphones. It uses WASAPI layer, which your interface also goes through.
I want to see a StreamDeck integration. Sure I could probably figure out some way with hot keys or whatever, but a button that can set an audio source to a set value (which means a macro can set them all to set values at once) would be super helpful to “reset” my audio.
Or a way to maybe fade out audio when ending stream, or fade out and back in to emphasize focus (instead of simply going in chucks (-5, -5, -5…+5, +5, +5) it would ramp smoothly on its own).
It might seem repetitive to have a volume change button on the stream deck, but a +/- volume button would be cool since the knobs don’t offer the most accurate leveling.
A stream deck set of buttons could be “Mute to Chat” “Mute to All” “Mute to …” and on each source.
This would probably be only for the BEACN Mix Create, but it would still be really cool to see.
I can’t wait for them to be back in stock!
Harris's Corner!
I accept your invitation to engagement and say "yeah, that's a great suggestion about unlocking faders when listening to the audience mix, but there should be a toggle in the settings for it". Still not convinced about your explanation regarding monitoring the mic in the headphones or creating side tone. But then again, seeing this thing in action I'm afraid it's going to be a banger.
@@AndyTolly123 The BEACN Mic is a dynamic USB microphone, but it has an analog 3.5mm output. If the software allows you to send a monitoring signal directly out and you can combine this signal (without going through the computer) with the signal coming from your computer, then it's possible. The conversion from analog to digital and vice versa is the true cause of most monitoring lag. Many USB microphones have a 3.5mm output which is primarily there to provide a direct signal out for monitoring. You could use a passive mixer to combine this analog signal with the output of your PC.
Screen sharing all the controls really helps to set this up ⚙
Yes please with the unlock suggestion.
Love the idea of the auto lock/unlock for the audience mix! Still getting it regardless
Tbh this thing is great imo
I get paid next week and I’m definitely going to be picking up a Beacn mic and one of these mixers, I currently have a HyperX Quadcast, it sounds great and I got my audio filters set up, but I’d love to have all these things to mess around with and hopefully use for better quality over streams, calls or meetings
With regards to combining with a GOXLR and its outputs, the first use I can think of for it is running live events over a PA while streaming. I've done similar things for robotics competitions as there are some sounds that don't need to come through the PA for the in-person attendees that the online viewers would need and vice-versa. I'm currently testing out the combination of GOXLR Mini and BEACN MIX CREATE for exactly this purpose.
That said, I'm also testing various combinations of the above along with a Scarlett 2i2 and/or the Elgato Wave XLR.
I think the reason people are asking about using the GOXLR and other devices, would be how can you use music mixers/sound effects with this setup. i have a cheaper sound interface board which can change voice sounds, cheering, intro music etc. I myself and trying to figure out how to incorporate this right now. Great video, thank you for the information and tutorial.
I do agree with your statement, it should auto detach when you switch to audience mode. Hopefully they add this
The switching between outputs is such a nice feature. Closest I'm aware of is the Wave device + a Streamdeck. They have some toggles in there so you can switch that way but that's another £150 you have to spend just for that though.
Really like that routing table though. The ability to just send one of your outputs through your mic/voice so others can hear it is great. Haven't managed to work out how to do that on a Wave device yet, other than sending your stream mix through Discord. Even without Mac support *yet - is on the roadmap*, this feels like a great purchase.
You can do it with Stream Deck alone. It's called Toggle Audio Device under Audio Devices in the Stream Deck menu. Might be a plugin. Can't remember if it's something I installed or not.
@@ZMIRAx Looks like there was a plugin but also a built in which I'm assuming came later. Noticing for me though that if I change the audio input via a Streamdeck though, it stops me adjusting the volume on my keyboard or headset, very odd! Might reinstall and see if that fixes it.
Actually a good idea😁
I agree!
I'm a director of software engineering and I would hire you as a director of technology in an instant. You have a great natural mind for that. Like you would get a lot of patents on products. Yes your idea for UX is a good one. It makes the process easier and improves the work flow.
Call it "Harris' Hangout", where you talk tech, gear and whatever you want.
Could be a cool segment for more personal stuff that you're not sure what to call it.
@ 12:35 I think that would be a great idea harris!
Can’t wait for the Beacn Mix Create is back in stock
For a sec I saw myself using this and it was oddly satisfying. 🥴
what mic arm do you use
@Harris one video I’d like to see would be how to set up a 2 PC stream setup with what you have talked about in this video here. As always I enjoy your content 😁
Thanks
This sold me on this sucker.
