Thank you for the cord cutting edge news. Very impressed by Apple speeds. Though I'm a fan of the Roku Ultra or using my PS4 as my back up streaming device. You two are awesome. See you next week.
The firestick kept dropping my internet on all my tvs on almost a daily basis. I switched them all over to Roku over a year ago and it has never happened again. I also like how you can add a channel on one TV and the other roku devices pick it up. Saves so much time and clicking.
I still haven't seen a device that I would change from my Roku Ultra for. I'm just not a fan of the Android OS. I find it too cluttered, and I prefer the home page on my Roku Ultra because it's very light on adds, and very easy to use.
I was predominantly roku but roku and firestick just had too much trouble with my services. HBO Max and RUclips TV. I'm not blaming either but I switched to tivo and chromecast with Google TV. Chromecast with Google TV is probably the best all around device for RUclips TV subscribers!!!!!!
@@calvindaves8541 It seems to be a good device, especially if you want to control other smart systems in your home. You get a lot for the $49.99 price tag, and for people who are immersed in the Google community, I would say that it covers all of the bases. IF, I were dropping Roku, I would probably choose it.
I upgraded a TV in the house from a several year old Insignia to a Samsung QN85 model. Super thin, has 5 HDMI ports vs 2 on the TV it replaced. It's smart so figured I could sell my Roku device. Come to find out, within the Sling app on the Samsung, you cannot skip the Sling inserted adds on your recordings. So had to reconnect the Roku just to watch Sling on the TV without having to cast so I can skip through the commercials which is one of the main reasons I record shows in the first place. I also think Roku OS layout is much better than Amazon's. Aside from that gripe, the new TV has been great. It's app launching speed is near instant, haven't timed it, but definitely appears on par with the Roku ultra if not faster.
I think that Google TV and Android TV are so similar that they should have been one category. If you were to add those together, it would surpass Apple TV and Fire TV. For anyone that uses their Google ID a lot and the Google assistant, there is no better choice than Google or Android TV.
I have each of them, and I think the new apple 4k is the best, but not enough to pay the extra for most people. If money doesn't matter and you just want the best get the apple.
I still think Roku is the best and most popular and easiest to use. True it doesn't have web browser option but if you have a Smart phone who really misses it. I don't I'm happy with the ease of the Roku devices. PS plus the friendly prices.
I though my apple 4K was bad when you try to install third party apps but the roku really sucks thank guy i have all NVIDIA shields too you really can’t cut the cord with roku because you can’t put Iptv’s on it or add storage to it it’s actually for people that want easy fix you don’t have to use your brain 🧠
The AppleTV is the best streamer; miles ahead of the competition. It’s no surprise Roku and Amazon won “overall” as those voters likely never tried Apple cause of price. It is worth the price you won’t regret it!
Deman !9904 1 hour ago (edited) My Apple TV 4K has become nothing more than a paper weight. It's software sucks. It's doesn't integrate all of your streaming services together. And it sucks for live tv integration guide..
@@deman19901 you must have a Pear not an Apple. Buy it out if someone’s trunk? Is there a bite taken out of the logo? If it’s just a paper weight to you would you mind shipping it to me? I have 2 and would gladly take a 3rd to replace my kid’s roku. My 2 complaints with AppleTV: 1) Make it easier to travel with explaining a MAC ID to hotel staff just to connect your Tv is annoying 2) Not on Apple it’s on Netflix; Netflix allow your content to be included in Apple’s curated app. Outside of those small complaints I’ll have this investment for years to come. And we haven’t even mentioned how it’s more than a Tv it’s my Homekit hub!
@@BMar1andonly Wow your stupidity and ignorance really showed up on that one. We all get,it you're not that smart. Due to this, you're unable to articulate why the Apple TV is so great. I own at least one of every streamer with the exception of the Nvidia shield. Apple TV and Roku are basically app launchers. Out of curiosity, what grade did you drop out? I have about 12 streamers. 3 Apple TV 4K in the house only 2 are mine. 1st generation and 2nd generation. I had to buy the 1st one in order for Homekit to connect to my ecobee thermostat in order for geofencing to work with iphone. Hence that's why it became a paperweight. I bought the 2nd won for non existing improvements. The 3rd one is bought for my son.
If u APPLE USER ..u like & have Apple products , then go for it & pay over $100 more for it , like they always likes to rip off people ...BUT if U Google user like me , Chromecast Tv is the BEST & is only $50
@@SFBenjaminK I‘ll pay the extra money for the privacy aspect and the life span. AppleTV HD released in 2015 7 years later its still supported and sold as new. There have been 4 versions of chromecast. Once you add up all your replacement/upgraded chromecasts over the course of 7 years I’d say AppleTV is a better investment. (4 generations x $50 = $200; AppleTV $150, saved $50 and didn’t give my data out). To each their own, but you get what you pay for.
Really fire stick 4k max is garbage my fire cube tv is way better because it has everything a fire stick has and it has hands free Alex that the stick don’t have most people agree when there remote batteries die out it’s good just to use your voice instead of a remote also are you for real apple 4k tv 2nd gen is worst then Apple TV 4K 1st gen because the remote on the 2nd gen works on the 1st gen and it’s actly the same as the 1st get the ownly thing they added is they added the ablty to extend stuff useing wires witch is useless if you have blue tooth everything is blue tooth now no one is useing cords we in 2022 not the 50s everything is wireless
