Nice to see an actual speech and not some goofball reading teleprompters.
He should be given the speech from the dock in The Hague for his many, many crimes against third world countries and the American people, I mean the New Deal was pretty much gutted when he came in and the American manufucatring industries were in decline but he made sure America would never be a nation that is a mass manufacturer ever again and real wages for the working and middle classess have been stagnating since.
He's reading from a sheet of paper. What's the difference?
@@xyz41100 He's giving a speech that is written on paper. He at least read it beforehand and practiced his speech beforehand. Now the puppets and actors just read straight off a teleprompter on the fly. There's a big difference.
All I ever knew about Nixon was Watergate. But if you listen to him speak, he is clearly one of the great thinkers and statesman America ever produced. There has been no equivalent since...
The more I see about the state of American Politics, especially surrounding the presidency in a post television world (to speak nothing of a post internet world that overtook the throne of culture after the passing of Nixon), the more I kind of understand why the powers that be wanted to get genuinely intelligent statesmen away from the ever glamorous role of President.
