I remember when I had cyberpunk for the ps4 without any updates because I didn’t have any internet and I was doing that mission where I had to save some dude in some building in the middle of nowhere with Panam and when I killed all the dudes, panam would get stuck 20 feet away from the building and 8 would be soft locked. Eventually i came to the conclusion that I had to use my brain and deduced that the guy was being held in a room in the garage of the building up a flight of stairs and had to get up there before the enemy that walked out of the room left it which would lock it, so I left the mission temporarily to get the double jump upgrade and then I went back and quickly double jumped and ran into the room before it was locked, which kept the mission from soft locking, which allowed me to progress the game. The worst part is that they straight up lied about it, saying it ran surprisingly well on old consoles before launch. It was borderline criminal. It didn’t even run “surprisingly well” on the newer consoles. I played it on the ps5 on launch and it was literally unplayable. The game would crash every 30 minutes which made it very difficult to make any progress, especially in long story sequences were constantly saving wasn’t an option l. Definitely not going to preorder it.
It was one of the best gaming experiences in 2020 too. Well for me. If you were on old gen and a PC that can't run crysis 4 then the fuck were you expecting? :)
The best thing about 1.0 for this game is the amount of God tier glitches and exploits that turned your V into an absolute unit and made you extremely rich extremely fast.
that could be a hard drive issue also though, I first played it on an external drive and had invisible guns and t posing people, once I reinstalled it to a local drive, it ran perfectly
If you're playing on an HDD, then that's more likely your problem than the game. HDDs would struggle to load stuff in this game especially from how slow their speed are compared to an SSD.
The opposite kinds are also present, saying the game still sucks. There's a thin line between criticism and blind hatred, as well as one between praising and glazing.
They're gaslighted CDPR fanboys. They waited for patching then bragging about the "quality" of the game. Game is still bland. None of your choices matter and you're forced to do tedious repetitive NCPD tasks & side missions if you want best (cliffhanger) ending.
@@Solotocius The only "blind hatred" is from Twitter. There's criticism. When we let games being given by EA and Ubi in very poor quality then everyone complains. But when CDPR does every CDPR fanboys comes with "Oh no, those will be fixed. Wait or patches. They'll fix all and bring them back." Well newsflash. All their bragging and showing never were given in final version. It's just reskinned Fallout 4 game set in the future with janky driving mechanic and every vehicle feels like an empty box. They fly like feathers instead of having any weight. WD Legion mechanic drives better with all cars having automatic driving. At least they have weight even when they silly hit into anything. Oh nd another thing. Why should we give money to greedy company who doesn't care to fix their game entirely and giving the game with lack of quality (none of choices matter and not having anything unique in it. Not even customizing cars like GTA SA-5) when modders can do it for free? We can give money to modders than to company who does it better than themselves. Just pirate the game anything from CDPR, Ubi & EA and support the modders. The game is still unfinished and plenty of interiors are left in the game.
@@xXSilentAgent47Xx well, I didn't expect to come across my beloved GTA V OST channel under such circumstances. I'll just say one thing: I love Cyberpunk 2077. I don't care if it isn't "what they promised" or yada yada. It's one of the most immersing and captivating games I've ever played, next to some other game series like GTA and Halo. The only "missing" feature that really remains in the game in my opinion is, as you said, the lack of customisation. Clearly the assets are there, judging by the NPC vehicles with all kinds of mods; but for some reason they didn't let us access it. Nonetheless, the game is definitely not "bland" or "incomplete". Thanks for uploading the heist soundtracks btw, #3 is especially a banger

The Cars in Cyberpunk are incredible now. When I 1st started playing the game after patch 2.0 it was how great the vehicles now felt and sounded which sold me on how great of an experience this was about to be. CDPR actually pulled it off and fixed their game. The anime was also awesome and was responsible for a stampede of new players. I played Cyberpunk 2077 day 1 up until meeting with Dexter (Who looked terrible compared to the trailers) in the back of the car and I quit there and just waited almost 2 years until 2.0 was ready. Cyberpunk when it was launched was an obvious case of a game clearly being designed for PC, and then second PS5 and then everything else secondary to them. The ports to Xbox and Playstation (especially PS4) apparently got rushed to hell 😂
It was due to the cough cough lockdowns. They couldn't take home the dev consoles they had in the office (for security reasons) so yes. In the end it got neglected and rushed during the final days.

PS4 was and still is an absolute garbage fire. It's TECHNICALLY playable, but a far cry from what they promised on both fronts of the game they advertised as well as the game they promised post-updates. Disappointing fails to encompass my feelings about it all.
I played on pc, I had bug where my motorcycle glitched underneath a car frame when I accidentally bumped into it so I had to load a little bit back. The other glitch I had was a main story mission where you had to get into a van wile an npc drove around and told you what to do. It spawned in upside down. So I went away for a few days and did other missions and came back hopeing it fixed it and it didn't. I was dishartend as I would have to load a really old save file but I decided to try and get in the van and we just had a conversation upside down and the mission continued like normal after that so it was alright. xD Other then that some t posing and some weird textures popping up over higher quality textures for a few seconds.
Am I the only one that played and finished the game back in 2020 on PC and haven't had a single game breaking problem with it? Almost no bugs actually, the few ones that I had were just funny and not gamebreaking at all. I think most of the the people who had any sort of problems were PS4 and Xbox One players, and that's from whom most of that "noise" came from but honestly it was kinda expected (atleast by me) that it's not gonna work well on these old consoles. This game was amazing back then and even more amazing now thanks to all of these updates and DLC!
They shouldnhave necer released it on old gen. This game was bult to run on a more powerful hardware than the ps4 and xbox one. There was just too many unformation to process
I only got this game this summer and i haven’t seen any spoilers prior to my play through so the game was truly peek gaming experience for me, and I’m so glad I held off for a few years after seeing the state pre phantom liberty haha
The patches are great and all, but the last time I tried to play this, I went to do the quest for the guy with the grenade nose. He was just around the corner from where I was. What should have been a five minute journey, took LITERALLY 30 because I kept getting attacked by random corpo security forces and assorted gangs for no reason I could discern. And of course, me fighting back caused the cops to get involved 🙄. I went through three different vehicles just to go a few blocks. It was NOT fun. When I finally managed to start the quest, the game crashed after five seconds. I finally rage quit and haven't looked back in four months.
I had the PS5 when this launched and I had no issues. In fact, I had no issues until they started patching it and even then it was stability at the most, would crash every 2 hrs or so and that lasted until 2.0 and then crashes were few and far between. Dead npcs would stretch on occasion, the doors on Judy’s van would disappear.
Even now there are visual glitches. Nothing game breaking though, just… normal game glitches. So, if you play the game start to finish without bugs, even today, you’re in the top .5% Let alone on release.
Oh my god this was SO rough on launch. I remember those days. I was one of the millions of preorders. I love that even your PS5 was trying to save itself by shutting itself and refusing to play it.
i still remember playing the game on launch. the scene where you're in your room and you meet johnny for the first time... he was naked ngl it made him 10x more intimidating
I actually quit playing No Man's Sky after the relaunch. I had made *so much progress* and in a single update it all vanished. I was too upset to ever pick it up again.
In 1.0 at the very end of the heist Jackie is marked on your mini map by an x in the delamain. It’s since been patched out and I think it’s a mistake. Having Jackie be a corpse like any other is so sad, but that is the reality in Night City.
I'm irked by people calling Cyberpunk 77 a redemption story. They fixed a broken game, so what? *They were supposed to!* Did the standard fall so low that an okay anime and 3 years of patches to bring the game to the state it was supposed to be on launch is enough for people to forgive CDPR and jump on the next hype bandwagon?
@@catpurrito5586 I never blamed the guys in the trenches in the first place, but let's not pretend that most of them are still at CDPR. The top brass is still the same, and the fact they are already spinning "the game was fine at launch, it was just popular to hate on it" doesn't inspire confidence.
This is insane to see. I sort of forgot this, because now, o my god this game. It's so amazing. Just only recently bought Phantom Liberty and everything is just incredible. The emotional connection with the characters and the game itself I experience with Cyberpunk is unbelievable to me. I've never had such an amazing gaming experience in my life I'm 100% sure about this. It's a masterpiece and CDPR are absolute professionals. (my experience on PC at release wasn't extremely bad by the way but nothing compared to how perfect it is now)
Insane how 1.0, for me, was playing surprisingly well on PC. Only had one quest-related bug but otherwise everything was fine if I remember correctly haha
And people bitched that the people complaining about them constantly delaying it was why the game released the way it did. My brother in Christ, the multiple delays in a six month stretch shows fundamental fucked up mishaps and failings within the company itself. People being angry online doesn't cause that shit. Three delays in less than six months is actually legitimately insane.

Cyberpunk 1.0 is like giving your PlayStation a malfunction relic
PC players thought last gen players were bullshitting when everyone said it was unplayable. I remember having a conversation with someone saying that the game runs fine on last gen. Lol wtf game were they playing because it was most definitely not cyberpunk
Haha if ur determined anything is possible. Played the first release on Xbox one, and finished it. And was a little better than what I see of the ps4 one.
So what the tuck did I play? I played it day one on an original day one Xbox one. Perfectly playable. Sure there were issues but it was not unplayable.
Mine actually ran fine when it first came out, but after I finished new gen and went back it was terrible (I played the ps4 version on ps5)
Honestly I got it for $40 new with extras on ps4… I think I started on 1.2 patch… oh boy. It was a thing.
I played at launch with just a few problems related to story progression and a few glitches on a PC 1600AF, 16GB RAM, 1TB Nvme 3.0, RX590 8GB, 1080p mid settings around 45fps. Not great not terrible. One of the best stories I've seen in games.
I only recently got into Cyberpunk and I gotta say, seeing the 1.0 version is like watching a god damn creepypasta compared to what I've experienced.

There's criticism. When we let games being given by EA and Ubi in very poor quality then everyone complains.

Insane how 1.0, for me, was playing surprisingly well on PC. Only had one quest-related bug but otherwise everything was fine if I remember correctly haha
The amount of delays to release the 1.0 version is actually insane.
