I also saw that you strugeled a bit trying to explain the whole kapara concept. Well it does come from atonnment (the literal meaninig). Originally it was a saying that moms use to say about their children "kapara shely" which ment that out of concern and love the mother was ready to aton for her son's or daghter's sins. Kapara aleich is usually a term of endearment and love, that got out of the family connections into a more general use.

Because in Arabic we also say it but exchange the letters Ch before the L so it’s Talches instead of Tachles and it has the same exact meaning!👍🏻😄 Like bottom line

I always translated Kapara as "sweetie" Very casual..something a waitress in a diner might say! Also we call the little "exploding" thing for Purim ....a "Firecracker"! Is your family "Bavli"? "Marokay.".".Teymani"?? I love hearing Hebrew spoken the way it should be with the caf, ayin etc..can a younger generation use them, or can they only use a Sabra accent..(beautiful as well...but not the same...)!
