    To the parent that needs to hear this, it is worth it. Don’t give up, there is an end to this ‘never ending’ phase of your life. It happens so gradually you’ll almost miss it but one day you’ll realize they are too big to hold on your lap, and too grown up to kiss you on the cheek. 😢

    I don't have kids, so maybe talking out of turn here, however, I want to thank you both, for showing the realities of life. Too many people online show only the perfect version, or the idealistic version, but the reality is that we are all flawed, and everybody's house is messy, and people are busy, and people are happy and real and have great lives. It is not necessary or healthy, to live in an Instagram ready household all the time. To you all and all parents you are killing it.

      A lot of people with ADHD actually can better relax on caffeine, even fall asleep. Before Ritalin (and after now that we know how bad that is for so many kids) doctors are telling even kids limited and scheduled coffee/caffeine can help them better than medications that carry more risks. Although other focus foods would be cod liver oil and nutritional yeast mixed in with the V-8.

      @@NadiaSeesIt congrats on your first! It could be a LOT at times when they all had a need all at the same time when they were super small, including trying to meet our own basic needs somehow in the midst, haha! But it was and is so worth it and grace for ourselves to laugh at mishaps, slow down and savor the little years makes it all worth it. Being home a lot, living a more minimalist lifestyle, purging and simplifying the home, lots of time outside, praying together, and cherishing simple living activities like snuggles over books and teaching them life skills around the home such as chores and basic kids cooking etc makes even the mundane sacred. 🩷 God bless!!

    • @MomtoaFullHouse
      @MomtoaFullHouse Год назад +2

      @@elizabethh6638 Actually, we have 5 kids! The youngest is 15 and the rest are all adults now. When we were having babies it was a different time. We bought our first house when we were 19 and my husband had 3 part time jobs (we bought it for $86,000 and now it would cost over $400,000). We struggled a lot over the years, but overall we found that, with one parent home the other parent could be more focused at work and be a better employee which provided promotions and pay raises along the way. Employers didn't have to worry about the parent calling in sick because their kid was sick or they needed to take them to an appointment or they got in trouble at school because the home parent took care of that stuff. Laundry was done, dishes were done, meals were cooked so the working parent didn't have to deal with that stuff. It just works well. Also, we didn't have flashy cars or take expensive vacations and we didn't have to pay for daycare (HUGE expense!)! Currently my husband is a (local) HAZMAT truck driver working 60-70 hours a week.

People are really not that good at delayed gratification but that moment when you see all your hard work come to fruition is amazing. Of course, watching your kid deal with their kid having a meltdown is pretty great too. You can just sit back, sip your tea and laugh at them, "Ha, ha it's your turn now suckers" Enjoy it. Baby #3 is over 4 months old and today I looked around me and felt like I was losing my mind in the screaming to-do list. I then looked at my kids all snuggled up together and gave that beautiful picture my full, undivided attention, being mindful of what is tangible, real and worth my focus.
