Dinky- but over 2 grand for a 20w with such limitations is a bit steep. A conventional 400 x 400 20w is about half that. And will be more accurate than using tracking (how well does it do with both engraving and cutting on the same item? Or multiple pass cutting?). A cylinder accessory would allow that any way- but I would just tile larger surfaces. BTW I would argue that, along with CNC machines, the workshop is not the place for them. You do not need to be there. Having got a laser cutter recently, most of the many projects I have made could not have been done with this due to area restrictions..
HI Mike. What model did you buy in the end? I know you said you was looking. The LP2 is around £600-700 so a lot cheaper than the Falcon 2 I have. It worked fairly well on the dining table (albeit outside) and I was building the barn wall as it was doing its stuff. You are partiality right about leaving the machines to it, when I ran pro CNC routers many moons ago, you still had to press the stop button every now and again , mostly as a head didn't fire up and it broke bits rather than not routeing on the correct line. Regards JP
@@Smallbarnworkshop I ended up getting the Creality falcon 2 40W - around £1100. The 22w is probably better value at nearly half that- but being able to cut 22mm wood is so attractive... It comes with air pump, so only light extraction is needed- I mounted it next to my CNC enclosure, and put a port in the wall, so I just move my CNC hose across. Minimum infrastructure... Very happy with it, it is getting quite heavy use. I love not having to bolt stuff down, or jog to the reference feature.
You are the only RUclips channel that has excellent music and content
Thank you Kelvin, that’s very kind. Regards JP
Thanks JP, very interesting, but the last bit of detail was unnecessary, although it did give us a good laugh 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Glad you enjoyed it :-) Regards JP
Words I never thought I’d hear JP say: “I’m narrating this video in my pants”… 👀
Interesting bit of kit that, thank you for sharing it with us… 👍🏻
🤭 It’s stifling today. Even hotter tomorrow. Far too hot for working. Thankfully it’s Sunday. Regards JP
Nice review JP. Thanks for not showing us yer pants. Take care & stay safe.
Well I almost saved you 😂 Regards JP
Too much detail at the end 🤣🤣🤣 Looks interesting
ha ha. Nice tools maybe the pants weren’t so nice 😊 Regards JP
In your pants? That's an image I don't want in my head. Did you have your Crocs on as well? 😂
I always wondered who watches the videos until the end 😂 Hope you are feeling better. Regarrds JP
and yes I had the Crocs on Regards JP
Ha ha ha in your pants, how can I wipe that thought from my mind. Nice one JP 🙂
😂 Too hot today so I thought it would be fair to share the workshop attire! Regards JP
