    As a beginer, I bought this model, maybe later a fiber laser, witch is a bit more expensive, thks, great honest review.

    First: Great video. Thank you for that. I received mine as a holiday gift and was quite intimidated by it so it sat on a shelf until yesterday. I set it up with ease, out the design space on my devices, and started playing. I am so excited of all the projects in my head that are about to come to life.
    I too wish there was a case that fit BOTH the LP and roller. I need 1 or 2 of those batteries.
    For now, I'm about to check out more of your videos.

    How does one engrave on a transparent polycarbonate item?

    • @sumeraybuilds
      @sumeraybuilds  3 дня назад +1

      You need to first apply some marker pen or paint to prevent the laser going straight through the matieral. I usually use a white 'paint pen' which works well.

    Thanks for the video. Can it be used to engrave name or ID's on tools like spanners, screw drivers or allen keys? I am worried about the minimum size it can engrave. Thanks in advance.

    • @sumeraybuilds
      @sumeraybuilds  15 дней назад

      Hello, it can’t engrave in metal unfortunately. But the laser pecker 4 can and I’ll be making a video on that soon!

    I have seen it mentioned that when mounting the cutter on the roller to do a moving cut, the smoke etc from the cutting process stains the roller case, have you found so ?

      I haven't found this in my experience.

    As I understand, the laser connects via Bluetooth to the app, but you still need Wi-Fi to input the password before using it. I need to use this in a no-signal environment.
    Would it be possible to get everything ready, including entering the password, in a Wi-Fi connected area and then, without turning anything off, move to the no-signal area and complete the project?
    Thanks for any help you can offer.
    cheers

    • @sumeraybuilds
      @sumeraybuilds  2 месяца назад

      You only need wifi upon initial set up. After that you only need bluetooth so you can use this in the middle of nowhere if required.

    Great laser. But like you said, unless you have a reason for using it a lot its a bit expensive. Great video by the way.

      Yeah it’s definitely expensive unless you know you’ll get good use out of it. Thanks 🙏

    Are you able to do like an embossing effect where the laser cuts all around where you want your image?

    • @sumeraybuilds
      @sumeraybuilds  3 месяца назад

      Yes you can. But you need to make the design on a PC and then import it into your phone.

    Most of my projects are of wood. How would I engrave the center of a 12" or 16" wood bowl with my logo and signature. Doesn't look like it would work for my wood bowl needs. Good review BTW :)

    • @sumeraybuilds
      @sumeraybuilds  5 месяцев назад +1

      You can remove the laser from the stand and hold it again bigger projects. You could 100% use this to brand a bowl, but it might take you a bit of practice to line it up consistently.

    Dam that's sweet but then the cost. Bet that hurt your wallet and guessing that didnt come in with the penny to a grand series 😂 i really would love one think could do wonders for my business considering no one is doing anything like it in my area but just can't justify it right now. Although if u want files to play with let me no or if u wanna send it to a loyal subscriber and friend 🤔🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿👍🫢

      Luckily this is a review model so I didn't need to save my pennies 😂 They are very good but you can buy cheaper ones if you want to start experimenting. You never know that might earn you enough to justify buying one of these!

    very cool tool/gadget. I was seriously considering buying it until you go to the price :) for that money - or there about - I'd rather go for a more complicated, more powerful, larger format traditional kind of engraver. Just my 2 cents 🖖

    • @sumeraybuilds
      @sumeraybuilds  7 месяцев назад +2

      It’s very cool. I think it comes down to what type of projects you have in mind. For me, I’ll mainly be branding my projects so this is perfect and small which means I can easily put it away once im done. The larger ones are obviously larger, so you can engrave bigger areas, but they really require a permanent dedicated space which I don’t have.

    Thanks for the video. I’m thinking about buying it to engrave on my aluminium products, while it’s the least talked about in the video 😅 Did you test on metal surface and is the result/resolution good?

    • @sumeraybuilds
      @sumeraybuilds  3 месяца назад

      It’ll engrave on covered metal, because it removes the covering. But you won’t get a decent engrave in any metal with this. It’s a pretty ‘soft’ finish that’s only visible at certain angles.

    NO this thing breaks quickly. Its a known issue. The adapter stops working and the usb or blue tooth just dies. I spent 1300 on an LP 2

    Would it engrave a silicone wrist band do you think?

    • @sumeraybuilds
      @sumeraybuilds  4 месяца назад

      Yeah it’s certainly powerful enough, you’d want to check the material on a test price first as some plastic isn’t meant to be engraved, it might just melt
