Ok, this video is on repeat. Amazing music!
Three years ago first saw her at DC9 . I was so excited of her raw PJ Harvey-esque...I will be seeing her next week at Rock and Roll hotel. I absolutely adore her.
van nguyen hey dc
Great videography; I love the way you can see where all the sounds come from
How is Torres not the biggest thing in music?
She put out a couple of lackluster albums after Sprinter. But her latest, "Thirstier", brings back the magic again.
Love this band, such a great album. And also want to give a shout out to that magnificent owl blouse.
Love at first hearing. I love her stuff so MUCH !! (and she reminds me of a REALLY REALLY good friend of mine).
Love this
Great sound!
Seriously, perfect perfomance.
Amazing.
I love they
me encanta este grupo, de mis favoritos
that drummer tho #beastmode
Daughter sound and atmosfere in the first song i like it
ohhhh mujer tan poderosa y hermosa!
A blonde with a St. Vincent tattoo, playing a Jazzmaster - what could go wrong!
I feel the same truth in this music vocall, lirycly and musicly as in Glen Hansard's. Beautifly emotional!
love this album, Ferris Wheel is a.m.a.z.i.n.g
wow
Wow...all I can say. #goodmusic
Love this, So much PJ harvey vibes
"Only Poseidon knows what I've seen" I feel ya
She's great. Happy to be able to see her perform at Royal Oak with Garbage in October.
+Greg Guro You are in for a treat. Saw her last week in the sweatbox that is The Louisiana in Bristol. Other than the drums being too high in the mix it was a great performance. She also has a very nice smile.
+Greg Guro I also saw them with Garbage in Dallas and it was like a big punch on your face.... amazing!
☺️☺️☺️
Should never have left Liverpool.
your you tube is awesome
Big fan of Torres, but this performance was a bit all over the place for me. I'm confused why she dropped her old band (and good friends) for this lot, they just don't seem as good collectively. Not sure if the keyboardist is trying to sing when she opens her mouth or is just there to catch flies.
redcommando1 I've never heard of Torres before, but your post is interesting...Can you recommend some material with her old band?
I love harshest light... but the whole album is tight ✌❤
Wow that first song is haunting, absolutely gorgeous and dark, i'm gonna go listen to her albums right away. Btw what's up with Cheryl's voice?
SCANNER, is every where!
producers man.... they get their hands in everything
I was sad for Cheryl when they had to end
Ben Gibbard on drums.
Dahm Majuri Cipolla on drums actually
holllly, fuccccck, this is so good
so.. i was like, "im gonna put on some kexp" .... "they always put on good tunes" .... "Torres... cool i dont know them but if kexp says its cool im sure its cool" one moment in.... "oohhhh ok like daughter right..." then FUCCCCKCK"this ... this is sick!!!"
I love daughter a lot, and initially i would compare yall to it, but yall really hit it, i love it!!! gonna send yall a message
p.s. those long notes. fuck yes! do that
is that a kansas city reference?! thats soooooo close to me, im so confused about life right now
So so so sik
Came here to finally check out this bands. Absolutely gorgeous- but so low key- I couldn’t actually listen to much
vinylmeplease army?
What happened to the voice of Cheryl?
What happened ? Что её так трясет?
Me likes.
Love the composition and Torres vocal charisma, such a shame that the backing vocals are so out of tune.
I really really like this band...but the pitch problems are killing me...its like they sound good but they don't
Axl Rose voice anyone?
Is she using a Shure BETA 58A? Asking for nerd reasons.
yes!
she sounds like the chick from le butcherettes and bosnian rainbows
I don't get the point of putting the capo on the guitar during "Sprinter," unless she's intending the guitar to move slightly out of tune by doing it. She uses all barred chords (with the exception of the E, which is only a barred F# uncapoed).
evrybdysnshwbiz My guess : A lot of barried chords wihout «rest chords» can become really hard for the hand. So the capo give her a «rest chord» to restore her hand once in a while in the song. I would do the same thing.
francis bélanger truth!
francis bélanger If you've been a guitarist for a while, barre chords aren't hard on your hand. The only way your comment would be applicable is if she has been playing guitar for only a few years. Either that or she could have bad technique that causes strain on her hand.
barrettdc1 I don't know. Even with a well adapted and trained hand, doing the same exact barred chord for a whole song can be annoying. If you know you don't need the whole fretboard, it's still smart to put a capo to make it more confortable.
francis bélanger True that.
boooring
I love they
