The reason that Stan got away with so much in Gravity Falls but not anywhere else is because the society of the blind eye are often wiping people's memories and that makes them stupider every time they do it.
Rewatching this is making me think about how stan was so attached to wax stan, which was probably him just pretending to be with his brother again because its the only chance he thought he had at another little outing.
Kind of embarrassing but there's a little edit mishap around 38:25 which is likely due to a rendering issue I didn't check after the fact. I can't get rid of it using RUclips's built in editor either because it stinks so just close your eyes when you get there hehexd
I honestly thought that Shermie was their sister, since it’s more of a girl name, and the baby that their mother was holding in a Tale of Two Stans looked more like a girl than anything. I guess it makes more sense though if Shermie was a boy, as that explains how the family name continued.
It's still debated if that baby is Shermie given that part was around just 40 years prior to present 2012, or 28 years before Dipper and Mabel were born, which is very young for a grandfather.

One thing that makes me rethink Stan’s date of birth is how in, I think it was Dipper and Mabel vs the Future, he told Mabel he was "pushing 70." Now if he’s born in 1954 and in 2012 that makes him 58, that’s pushing 60, not 70. Pushing 70 in 2012 to me suggests a DOB somewhere around the end of World War II (1943-46).

in some of the flashback it show that Stanley still have Stanford phone number so idk maybe he use that to trace Stanley whereabout or maybe they DID sometime talk to eachother but Stanley only said havent talk in 10 years because they havent talk FACE to FACE for 10 years
That shower flashback with Dipper takes place June 5th. Also, it's likely that the Dipper-Axe scene that we see the flashback of in Bill's Debut episode is from May.
