I can see why people thought that, Stan does get along well with Mabel, however that doesn't warrant him a "favorite". He's shown just as much care for Mabel as he did to Dipper, it was just shown differently since the twins had different characteristics. As mentioned, Stan was only hard on Dipper since he's just not as socially capable as Mabel. He he had nothing to fend himself for other than a very boxed-in and secluded intelligence. So Stan, in his own way, tried to make Dipper a bit more capable even if it was through physical means. I do think he didn't do it in the best way, and Dipper's frustration with him is proof of that, but even if it wasn't the best way it was his best way of showing that care.

Besides, is it really so rare for a man to “tease” his family in a joking way? If a man can’t joke with his nephew that basically calling him girly or a nerd every once in a while leaves a scar, the relationship isn’t there. So even Stan “mocking” Dipper was a way of loving him, in Stan’s own way. Hell, I’m 25 and me and my 11 year old sister like to joke around. And god himself doesn’t wanna repeat some conversations me, my dad, and my 15 year old brother have fun with.
I've been rewatching the show lately and it makes me wanna cry how much he clearly loves those kids 😭😭😭 He doesn't swear in front of them or drink because he wants to be a good role model for them 😭😭😭
It's so amazing to think that Stan seems like such a jovial and jackass-like character...when he's really incredibly smart, skillful, and kind hearted. Add onto his tragic past and you just wanna hug him.
I really do relate an absurd amount to this show. I knew a Soos and a Wendy in high school, and the sibling dynamics in this show really remind me of my brother and I in all the best ways. But most of all, Stan is a *lot* like my Pop-pop. It’s that kind of “no nonsense, except for my nonsense” attitude, and it’s why he’s my favorite character in the show.
I love his relationship with Dipper for how complex it is with how he sees him. When Dipper looked though he memories it’s clear Stan wanted to make him stronger though hardship and to fight back. But also I think the reason why they’re conflicted is because Dipper reminds him a lot of his younger brother and is probably worried that soon he’ll end up like him “using his head over his heart.”

I genuinely can't imagine hating any main Pines, they are four absolutely lovable characters
He’s doing his best and that’s why he’s so great.
@@originsmenagerie9920 he is doing good as well, not just his best
8:45 is my favorite scene. How they just nod their head is great
Stanley is a real life example of a person who was raised in a tough environment he has a lot of flaws but none of them compare to his greatness
6:48 holy crud the transition 👌👌👌
Way too smooth of a transition

I've been rewatching the show lately and it makes me wanna cry how much he clearly loves those kids 😭😭😭 He doesn't swear in front of them or drink because he wants to be a good role model for them 😭😭😭
It's so amazing to think that Stan seems like such a jovial and jackass-like character...when he's really incredibly smart, skillful, and kind hearted. Add onto his tragic past and you just wanna hug him.
11:01 proof of true brotherhood

Funniest "Can it, Soos!" moment ever. 😂
I love Stan’s character sm, i wish more people would want to understand his character.
You know, to Grankle stan.., to him. Mabel & Dipper is one of the best things that happen to him
I feel like stan and Ford getting waddles on the bus should have been included, one last good thing he did before the mystery twins left.
You forgot to add the Grunkles threatening to hurt the bus driver in order to let mabel keep waddles at the end. 😢

"You're our hero, Stanley."
I unironically love Stanley's character. Even beats out Bill as my favorite
He cared more about them than anyone he has ever met before
shouldve included the threat to the bus driver. so funny.
He's such a fun guy.
he isn't the man we want, nor the man we need, but he is the man we get with no refunds
He is a scumbag
The fact that this is basically a compilation of every other appearance of Stan really shows how good of a grunkle he is
I really do relate an absurd amount to this show.
1:51 Hey, my grandfather used to do that affectionately to me and my sister! We called it the "Doom Machine." Except it mostly involved tickling
Awwwww that's so cute! God bless your grandpapa!
@@AlphaCrystal21 He's still alive
@@XJIcequeen I didn't say he wasn't
Just realized he came out of the vending machine in the zombie episode and they didnt notice
HE DOES COME OUT!!!
Well, in their defense, when you're in the middle of a zombie apocalypse you prioritize survival over, uh, the vending machine being a secret hideout.
the beginning scene of not what he seems transitioning into the ending is perfect
Proves why this show will always be my favorite cartoon.
6:51 That transition from one scene to another is cleverly done!
He ain’t perfect but he’s a great uncle to have
Something about him that's inherently attractive to me, its his old man energy.
PLS SO REAL
Zombie punching Stanley is my last fragile thread of heterosexuality i fear..
This is an ENTIRE HALF EPSIODE OF STAN BEING A GOOD PERSON.
words cannot describe how much i love this man
Grunkle Stan giving Mabel a sticker is so sweet, I love them
Wait what about when he threatens the bus driver to get waddles on board?
4:34 you can see ford in the background reading a book

@@jeb123 a character from the owl house, iirc it was kinda vaguely confirmed that thats who stanley was referring to
@@w.whoisrio Thank you!
@@jeb123 no problem!!
Ah i love gravity falls and stan is rly a comfort character
