As a 57 year old I can count on 2 hand how many musical genius I have heard in my life time. Paul Weller makes that top 10 list. Sad that he doesn’t get the credit that he deserves here in the U.S.

He is one of the best songwriters, just perfect. The style council was some of his best work. It's in a class of it's own

Pure style over substance. Some of the blandest music known to man came from this band.
This is the fucking stupidest comment I’ve ever fucking read. There isn’t a pop band in history that has had as much substance as The Style Council. They excelled in more genres that you’ve even fucking heard of. Lyrically they wiped the floor with anyone else in their era, tackling social issues, political issues, songs about fascism, racism, revolutions, drug addiction, the holocaust. Where’s that from The Beatles or fucking Ed Sheeran? Ever heard of Red Wedge? ‘No substance’. Yeh you’ve made yourself look a right mug. Tory wanker.

@@wattage2007 the jam were fantastic the style council were good and wellers solo career excellent .... I love the fact he branched out .. I love a lot of council songs though I will admit there were some awful slick mistakes as well
