Thanks for the video! AFAIK you’re the only person who talking about the headset after a year of heavy use. I was planning on buying one but a bit hesitant. You sir might have tipped the scale.

Glad to hear! Figure this video is from last November and I'm still rocking the same headset and they still are working like new! Highly recommend these. They are durable, reliable, and still sound great after over a year and a half of use!

GruelingCape076 I was torn between this and the Corsair HS70 which is a lot cheaper but in the end I bought the Arctis 7. Thanks for your recommendation. Definitely satisfied with the purchase!

Thanks for the upload, I was quite concerned about how long will these last and it seems that they will not break when using properly. One question: Are these comfortable even when using them 4-6 hours straight? Any kind of small pain for the head or anything?

+Jay M Glad you enjoyed the video! I use them on average for 5 hours a night a lot of times more than that when I'm gaming. They do cause a slight earache for me personally at around hour 4 usually but it goes away in about 10 minutes. Then I just have a tingling sensation on my ears for a few minutes after I take them off for the night. This is running the stock ear cups however. They do sell some leather ones or some really soft velvet like ones and if the padding is thicker on those then maybe you wouldnt even have that. Compared to any other headsets or even just headphones I've used they are the most comfortable for long sessions. Definetly highly recommend them. They have been awesome for me.

I've heard a lot of negative stuff about the sound quality. Is there a lack of bass and what do you think of the sound?

Honestly I think they sound great. I've heard the complaints as well but I have no idea where it comes from. It is true they don't have the most bass but with a gaming headset I don't think that's a bad thing. They have just the right amount of everything in my opinion so explosions in games are very noticeable but dont blow your eardrums out haha and you can very easily tell where everything is coming from with the 7.1 surround sound feature for pc. And you can get a bit more out of them using the SteelSeries software to tune them to your preferences using the provided presets for gaming, movies, music and such or go completely custom tuning. I listen to music frequently on mine while I'm gaming with the gaming preset and they have a very nice clean sound. I suspect the bass is not stronger simply due to the fact that since they are wireless, powering a lot of low end would eat up a lot of battery. Which these have fantastic battery life so it would be a shame to reduce that for a bit better bass. Right now I'm getting around 15 hours runtime before the headset tells me it's running out of battery which I find impressive. Honestly for the price I don't think you can get hurt with this headset unless you are using them only for console, which they still work great for but it just takes a pc to unlock their full potential. Anyway hope this helps if you are debating on buying a set. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment as well!

How abt the comfort buddy? Some said its bit uncomfortable for big hears and head band hurts. Is that really that uncomfortable or its just trade offs?

Jayanth Sharma I just bought one and I for one found it to be extremely comfortable. I also think the airweave ear cushion is more comfortable then the leatherette ones. Then again, I don’t have an especially large head.

Would you recommend these over the PlayStation platinum’s

Honestly if you are just playing on ps4, I'd just buy a nice ps4 headset. These are a fantastic headset don't get me wrong, but their main selling point is the versatility to work with any system. So if you can't benefit from that id go with a set specific to your console.
