The problem with men is that they are not interested in women who actually want them for who they are and not for their money or prestige. Men don't see the same thing they are saying about women overlooking good men that they are overlooking good women as well.
So men are actually marrying women that don’t want them? Really? Let me go ahead and awaken my wife to tell her after 23 years of marriage that she’s been playing me all these years, with two great children (engineer and lawyer) that her love for me was all a lie. Divorce her and be single again looking for these high body count modern females who actually want me. 😅😂
Exactly. Was just about to say this. That "overlooking good men" narrative only applies to the 3% of women THEY want. They have no problems overlooking the rest of the good women who don't fit their narrow preferences.
Very true. It's a game of inside out. The universe is out of alignment. People are tirelessly pursuing people who are disinterested. It's a game of chase that suggests if they trap after a long chase that it's considered a high value win, but people chase fools gold just like they pursue platinum.

All he has to do is find and choose a wife somebody that's not perfect because you're made perfect through your trials and marriage he's waiting way too long in my opinion.
@@dove628 I agree that there is no perfect person, however when God arranges the union and puts it together, you will be perfect for each other, flaws an all. It requires a sensitivity to the leading of Gods spirit to find the right one that God has prepared and preserved for him and this assignment. I will not speak for him but I will share my experience as a die hard devoted supporter of his work and mission. He has always been transparent regarding his journey. My heart has been broken at the level his was only once. I barely survived it with my ex-late husband. When your soul needs to be restored and you become fearful of it happening again, it takes time for God to mend us back together. The word says, perfect love cast out all fear. I am grateful he hasn’t given up on love because we wouldn’t have the Dear Future Wifey podcast. Healing is a continuous process even once married. We should never stop growing and evolving in life.
The comments on stewarding fatherhood helped me to better articulate some things. Boys get their identity from their fathers-girls’ identities are affirmed by their fathers. Fathers don’t have to be perfect-they only need to be present. What I’m learning from my young adult children is that the need for that presence is just as great as children emerge into adulthood. What I’ve learned from my own healing journey at 52 yrs old is that it’s never too late for a deeper connection with your father-to be in his presence can heal old wounds. ❤
Wow! This truly touched my heart. As a mother of a teenage son, I've raised him on my own since he was 2 years old-not by choice, but because fate had other plans. His father was tragically murdered when he was just 2. One of my greatest fears is him growing up without strong male role models to look up to. It breaks my heart because, as a mother, I know there’s only so much I can do to guide him into manhood. We recently went to watch The Forge, and we both cried so hard. I just continue to pray that God fills the void in his life, giving him the wisdom and guidance he needs in the absence of his father. Thank you, Laterras, for being present not only for your children but also for others that need you. Such a selfless act.. Your presence makes a difference.
There are good programs for boys you could consider. Find one you trust after researching. I always see TD Jakes boys mentorship or Steve Harvey. Your local area can also have as long as they have no bad influence
He’s lying to women to think he can’t find just one woman to marry after all these years, surrounded by beautiful sista’s daily, yet not one of them are qualified for marriage? Either he’s playing y’all to keep his money making “Dear Future Wifey” show or black women are that bad not being marriage material for him. Which is it?
He interviews so many single women that want to be married some wealthy most of them are well to do, some with one kid or two or none he's just letting all of them slip through his fingers..
I think the saying" find you a man that loves you more than you love him "means find you a man that is Naturally caring and loving, the kind of man that sees what you need be fore you even ask. The man definitely needs to believe he found his person, best friend, wife and EVERYTHING in the woman he marries. If he marries a woman he isn't really into, he will make that poor, unsuspecting woman miserable. She will ALWAYS be emotionally unfulfilled.

The impact of mentoring young couples is much needed in our society. There is so much brokenness among the black community. To include the crisis of absent fathers. I truly wish I had this platform before I made the decision to marry as I married young, trying to do right by God. I married viewing how I felt the church and community would look at me. Trying to overcome the shame I felt, as I got pregnant first year of college. Topping it all off my father suffered and survived a massive heart attack that changed our families life. My father now developed short term memory issues and could not pour into me about my choices as a father and daughter should. Meanwhile, Marriage was encouraged as right. I married. While I was blessed with 3 beautiful kids in this union God gave me. I ignored many red flags as it pertained to my marriage. Had I had a platform such as Dear Future Wife my decisions would have played differently. I eventually found me, and divorced. Despite how I felt I'd be viewed. I consulted with God and walked away, knowing my decisions were now aligning with God. Thank you for what you do thru your platform of your podcast.
I have been married for almost 40 years. I have 2 female friends who I grew up with. They have been married and divorced for years. I knew their parents and siblings and they knew mine. I used to like them both, but they never paid me any attention other than to be a friend. They now wish that they had known that I would be a good husband. Sometimes your spouse is in your neighborhood.

I say Amen to Laterras and I say Amen to the host. The other person has to be an adult, mature enough to except the fact that, that person is seeing someone else. Laterras is correct.
Listening to this man solidifies my belief that when a man has embraced the love of God and lives in that love of Jesus, he will know how to love because he is born of God/Love! No need for a prenup. God’s love is security enough! I think when people say, “he should love you more than you love him” comes from a translation of Eph 5 where it talks about a man should love his wife and a woman should respect her husband…it’s as if a man is wired to thrive when he’s respected and a woman when she is loved, in a marriage relationship.
