I really want the D Train trial on the Greenford branch to be successful so that all 4 GWR Thames valley branches can move over to battery D Train operation which will release some class 165 for other routes.
I hope at some point soon GWR order a replacement train fleet for the entire regional rolling stock as some like the 150 are getting old and GWR could really do with the extra capacity on many routes such as Cardiff to Portsmouth as well as allowing IET units to stop operating on regional services to reduce 5 carriage short forms on intercity services.
I wish GWR could order more class 800 and class 802 in 9 carriage formations as this would then allow for GWR to increase their capacity on intercity routes as well as increasing regional capacity by having more IET on regional services or alternatively some 5 carriage units could move to XC to replace the HST that will be leaving that operator soon.
GWR could order new rolling stocks to replace the Class 150, Class 165, Class 166 & other units (except retaining the Class 800 and Class 802). And they could of inherited the Class 379s that would of been ideal for London Paddington-Reading, Didcot Parkway, Newbury, Swindon, Bristol Parkway and Cardiff Central. And to transfer the Class 387/1s to Great Northern and some on Heathrow Express. And also to be used on Reading-Newbury shuttle service and of course the Class 230 D-Trains to operate on the West Ealing-Greenford branch line. And possibly to be used on Slough-Windsor & Eton Central, Maidenhead-Bourne End/Marlow and Twyford-Henley-on-Thames.
As time 🕰️ goes to press, could GWR - Great Western Railway 🚃 have any of the 2 car class 150/2 cascaded from TFW - Transport For Wales 🏴 to GWR - Great Western Railway 🚃 by around perhaps 🤔 early December 2025 at the latest to combat severely overcrowding railway 🚃 passengers on the train 🚊 when brand new trains 🚊 are likely to be delivered to Wales 🏴. Also could it happen to any of the 2 car class 158 trains 🚆 could be cascaded from TFW - Transport For Wales 🏴 to GWR in the year 2024 to replace the high speed trains 🚆 that are currently on the main line routes in Devon and Cornwall. In the year 2024, there are 3 x 2 car class 230s are to start being used for GWR - Great Western Railway 🚃. GWR - Great Western Railway 🚃 runs its services everyday and public holidays except Christmas 🎄🤶 🧑🎄 🎅 Day and Boxing 🥊 Day. The previous train 🚊 operator is called FGW - First Great Western. 👍👍👍👍
