SGM Records | Rap Instrumentals ikr? although the scenarios improved A LOT, they made that stupid campaign mode instead of free-roam. i think the fifth and sixth game were their way to redeem by giving up the perfect open-world and all the soundtracks on the game :)
MrKlausbaudelaire Agreed, the game for OotP is one of my favourites (despite being too short). It brought back that great open world feel and if there was ever a HP MMORPG, I'd want it to look like that.

This is one of the most wholesome comment sections I've ever seen. I always felt so alone loving this game as much as I do. No one else at school did. It's such a good feeling, almost a relief, to discover that so many other people had the same childhood experiences as I did. Being terrified of Filch and the Bloody Baron, being taught how to climb by Fred and George etc, and this was always there in the background. It's heartwarming. And it's good to know I'm not alone :)
I just replayed this game today after finally figuring out how to get it to work on Windows 10.When I got to Filch, my heart was racing the whole time. It brought back all the memories of being a kid when I got nightmares. As if he's not already a creepy dude, the bad animation makes him just terrifying... and when he comes out of nowhere around the corner.... This game is so nostalgic.
Who else was scared of the dungeon levels where you had to get the potion ingredients and get past the Bloody Baron? When I was a kid I always had to get my mom or someone else to do it.

I played this game 2 years ago for the first time since I was a kid. Sad to admit, the magic while playing I felt back then was completely gone. I hate being an adult sometimes. :(
I'm 26, was having a really anxious evening, and then this shows up in my recommendations. My heart was sedated immediately, and I'm currently chilling, looking at those all too familiar pixels. Thank you so much for this!
I remember the moment of true happiness when i first launched it on my brand new pentium 4 PC back in 2004. Also, the disk was like purple colored and had harry flying on a broom, it looked really special, wish this type of magic would come back.
Someone could perhaps replace the music in the movie with properly chosen tracks from the game, I dont know if its possible to isolate the music from the dialogue and sounds without possessing the independent tracks though.
@@horselovercock6835 1 year late, I apologize, but it'd be cool if someone did a "If Jeremy Soule scored the films" video series. There're actually videos titled, "If John Williams scored *insert any HP title other than the first 3 here*", & it plays music from one of the 3 films over a scene from any of the later films. I'd like to see something like that, but with Soule's music accompanying--any of the films, really (or even vice versa, If John Williams Scored the video games", or whatever).
This game was one of my favorite parts of my childhood. I first played this game when I was 5, and now I'm 20. I remember having a hard time jumping on the moving platforms during the flipendo challenge, being stuck on the level where you chase Malfoy because I didn't know you could go faster on your broomstick, being extremely scared of Ms. Norris, not being able to get past fluffy because I didn't know you needed to get close to him to make him fall asleep, etc. The music of this game is absolutely amazing, especially the music inside Hogwarts, the title screen music, storybook music, the fireseeds no. loop, etc. I feel absolutely nostalgic whenever I hear music from this game, and from the 2nd game; I almost even cry.
Ah, so many memories. This was the first game I ever played, and when I played the Elder Scrolls games I didn't realise until later that the music was composed by the same guy. The Flipendo Challenge theme and the main Hogwarts one are highlights for me.
I consider this basically the first pc game I played too... I was like, 10... I had already played some DOS games (some side-scrollers and a bunch of those Accolades games too) and never even heard of Harry Potter but this was the first game that really sucked me in, and it was 80% because of the music. You can just fell the magic in every track, not only here but in the other games where Soule composed the music too. He also composed the soundtrack for the game based off "A series of unfortunate events", and that's also great! (well duh)
This is my go to music for any time that I want to calm my mind. When I'm doing art, when I'm doing homework, when I'm just sittin' in my computer chair all cozy, etc.
With the exeption of PoA for PS2/XBOX/GC, thr first 3 games were not developed by EA, only published by them. That's why the first 3 games were so amazing
Somehow I woke up this morning with the theme from around 28:30 stuck in my head. I haven't played this game in like a decade, at least. Thanks, brain.
I listen to this soundtrack every year around christmas, it's so lovely and cozy, not to mention the blast of nostalgia it gives me. Despite all it's flaws, this game will always have a special place in my heart
Hogwarts Neutral Loop literally brought me to tears. I miss this game so much and the Hogwarts (however primitive) it portrayed!! I felt truly magical!! So, thank you so much for taking your time to upload this!!!
32:15 brings back memories of my dad and I quarreling (harhar) over controls as one of us took hold of the mouse and the other used the arrow keys and spacebar, took us countless attempts to beat
24:50 I remember having a hard time getting all the rings when I first played this game somewhere in 2001/2002. When I installed this game again a year or 2 ago it was so easy to get everything and the hidden card. This game and the chamber of secrets are the ones I played most in my childhood. Good memories!
"Happy Hogwarts Loop" I thought I heard Jeremy from Elder Scrolls, apparently he touched my life way before. And his OST arguably surpasses that of the movie.
I absolutely love the music in this game. I really liked the pc game. This brings back so many memories...thank you for the upload! Incredible how he made the music so fitting and in some places so similar to the movie music, while he never heard the music of John William for the movie before :O
This is my third favourite game in the EA series. My favourite is The Prisoner of Azkaban. The first game had the best music. The Chamber of Secrets had the best sound effects. Prisoner of Azkaban was the most fun.
My childhood! ♥ As a five year old, playing this was a magical experience, almost as if I was really at Hogwarts. I still remember spending hours just walking around trying to find secret spots and getting scared beyond belief by Filch or the Bloody Baron. God, I miss those times ...
The way I lived Harry Potter due to the stream of books, movies, and these games... I legitimately feel as though I have spent full terms attending Hogwarts and making memories with Harry and friends. I don't think this sort of experience can be replicated
This was the best game back in my days.... the nostalgia, maaaaan. Still the soundtracks are so mesmerizing. Here are some favorites I will never forget. 5. 9:10 6. 11:58 8. 16:22 9. 18:08 12. 21:05 18. 32:15 38. 48:03 46. 54:49 48. 57:10 49. 59:12 51. 1:01:43
The very first pc game I’ve ever played as a child, and still enjoy it to this day. Thank you so much Jeremy for the work that you’ve done on this music, it is truly nostalgic.
Anyone else feels like they don't wanna "consume" all the good memories by playing music u grew up to? I don't want this music to gain new memories if I play it on repeat ... No kidding these r the happiest, warmest, and safest moments of my childhood. I want these memories safe and locked up inside of me, because without these memories a part of me will always be hollow, and my childhood will be so fucking ugly. Wow late night confessions
i know what you mean man, but sometimes i like listening to them to remind myself of simpler times, and even though they may not come back, im happy that a lot of other people went through the same things and feelings when they were kids.
Anyone listening to these soundtracks in quarantine? This and Chamber of Secrets are giving me major nostalgia & bringing me back to the magic, wonder, and fear XD
I've noticed an interesting trick in the game when you're exploring the castle. There's a place where two random students spawn when you look. They run outside and can't be interacted with. If you go back and return, then two new random students spawn and do the same thing. It's an interesting way of adding life to the place.
For many years now, this has been my go-to Christmas season-studying soundtrack. I'm so delighted every year that when I start listening to it I find that no, it still hasn't lost it's magic. It always puts me in a joyful, warm mood which - among other things - makes focusing that much easier. Thank you Jeremy Soule (and GreenCauldron08)!

I always wondered why Skyrim's OST reminded me so much of the HP PS1's games... now I know! Fantastic
I actually came to this video to see how similar they actually were. I was thinking of learning how to do simple modding to add "Hogwarts Neutral" as one of the regular soundtracks that plays while walking around for people that have played this game .
Has it really been 18 years? That's a lifetime away but a part of me remembers playing this. I can not fully go back to that time though, at least not consciously. It's kind of sad that we forget how it feels to be a child when we grow up.
This soundtrack is, plain and simple, magic. The whole game, janky as it was at times (I had the PC version) just oozed charm. The Lumos challenge did an excellent job of being dark and uncomfortable, the colors being so muted and dim was a great contrast to the spell's purpose of literally bringing light. Although the part where you go down the stairs and get jumpscared by a Doxy will forever haunt me - that stupid thing got me every time. Also the dungeons were terrifying. I remember being so mad when the bridge to the Dittany opened up beneath me and I tried for days to figure out if there was a way to jump it and get to the other side before it opened, not realizing it was a cutscene/scripted event and that I had no control over it. And the stealth segments with Filch were the BEST part. I'd play through the game over and over just to get to the part where you're sneaking up the tower, and I'd avoid all the save game books just to have to do every section again in succession if I messed up. Just something about wandering the endless passages and secret rooms in Hogwarts was so thrilling as a child. I'd love to revisit it again. Through all the gameplay though, the musical score really made the experience. Every track was memorable, and it FELT like Harry Potter. Jeremy Soule put his...um...well, his SOUL into this score. TL;DR - FLIPENDO!
This is one of my favourite games of my childhood. I used to play it on my uncle's computer when I was a kid. We played it together and always laughed at funny moments with gnomes. He loved the music of this game so much. My uncle passed away two years ago and here I am , still listening to this to bring back my memories.
HOLY CRAP, I LOOOOOVED THIS GAME AS A KID. THAT MUSIC. THE MEMORIES.... It also always made me laugh how Quirrell never moves his mouth when he demands that Harry give him the stone. My cousin and I used to imitate that all the time.
FLIPENDO!!!!!!!!
Fliiiiiiiiiii-PENDO!!!
NIIN-TENDO!!!
WINGARDIUM LEVIOSA!!!!
Alzenauer My dad would always say the same xDD

Was I the only one who was totally freaked out by the level with peeves? :D Seriously, I was always panicky playing that one
+JasminTheDreamer
xD No definetly not. I started that game again yesterday, and the only thing I wondered about was, how I could even be afraid of him back then :D And how I manged to fall of a bookshelf.
+JasminTheDreamer i never got past that xD they were soooo creepy back then :PP
totally agreed. I was even scared of falling off of the bookshelves! Damn that nostalgia.
ahhh yes when your a kid you don't realize how scripted games are and it feels like anything can happen
Jeremy soule is such a talented person. No wonder why he was the one chose to make the Elder Scrolls music.
The Filch level though was both terrifying and incredibly fun to play❤️
INTRUUUDAAAH! INTRUDAAH IN DA FOHBIDDEN CORRIDA!!
The beginnings of my sneaky archer playthroughs in Skyrim years later haha.
Jeremy Soule’s Skyrim and Harry Potter music will always have a special place in my heart. I can’t imagine my childhood without his work.
To me, this music is perhaps even more Harry Potter than the movie-music is.
Someone could perhaps replace the music in the movie with properly chosen tracks from the game, I dont know if its possible to isolate the music from the dialogue and sounds without possessing the independent tracks though.
@Marius Especially the post John Williams films (everything after Prisoner Of Azkaban), I agree.
@@ericyoung1478That's awesome, thanks for the tip! I'll check that out.
Although I haven't played Philosopher's Stone as often as the other two games...
9:10 this song will be stuck in my head forever! I love it!
This was also the first game I played!
I miss being a little kid.
elephant35e don't we all... :D
(well duh)
Jimmy T. Malice I KNEW THE HOGWARTS LOOP SOUNDED LIKE THE OBLIVION OVERWORLD MUSIC now it makes sense!
53:41 SCARIEST PART OF THE GAME!!!
Max Canon but it was also the best part. I loved that part so much as a kid
Max Canon the game is scary at whole)). But yes, I agree with you.
That whole Filch level is still one of my absolute favourite sections of a video game!
Max Canon totally agree
It was scary as fuck at that time, i got so scared pne time i turned off my pc instantly lol
This is my go to music for any time that I want to calm my mind. When I'm doing art, when I'm doing homework, when I'm just sittin' in my computer chair all cozy, etc.
Even the scary and ominous parts? ;)
Aathmastralis Especially those parts lol
Three things you remembered from this game:
3. So many beans
2. Great Music
1. FLIIIPPPEEEDOOOOO
It's a shame you weren't allowed to just roam Hogwarts when you've completed the game. Instead it ends on that cut scene and that's it.
@@chrisdavie8163 Ikr but it still is a great game
@@chrisdavie8163 they did this semi-open world in HP2. Sadly HP1 is ultra linear and short
Now I want to play this game and rememorize the memories of my childhood
so your age now from 27-31
Thanks for the upload, this brings up so many good memories, i think the first three games EA made for HP are the best ones
With the exeption of PoA for PS2/XBOX/GC, thr first 3 games were not developed by EA, only published by them. That's why the first 3 games were so amazing
you know? i never quite get the publishing and developing aspect of a product, why cant a company do both?
not only that the game indeed developer by various developer per game i mean there is lots of plot differences in all the platforms.....
2:56 Ahh the good old story book theme, this has always stuck in the head for the rest of my life. So much nostalgia. 😭
24:14 I don't know why. But this is the first music that pop in my head when I think about this game.
I loved the flying you could do in this game! Crazy hard at times but enjoyed it immensely 😃
I think it was in the game trailers..I could be worn though
Fun fact, Jeremy Soule is the same guy responsible for the music in The Elder Scrolls Skyrim and Morrowind. LEGEND
@Rafi Brown Oblivion, too!
This game is definitely one of my guilty pleasures. Used to play this for hours on end
The first 3 Harry Potter games were the best! Then it all changed. Prisoner of Azkaban for PC was my favourite
16:22 !! i remember playing that on the piano throughout my whole childhood.
Flipendo 😍
A man of culture
Getting goosebumps especially 8:00. Brings back so many memories. This soundtrack makes me happy yet sad at the same time.
Sameeeeee
Video game soundtracks give me life. Also, mega nostalgia.
I feel part of one big loving family when reading all these comments:))
This is my childhood in a nutshell. Thanks for uploading:)
Hogwarts Neutral Loop literally brought me to tears. I miss this game so much and the Hogwarts (however primitive) it portrayed!! I felt truly magical!!
So, thank you so much for taking your time to upload this!!!
"Happy Hogwarts Loop" instantly transported to my parent's den circa 2001 playing on a Windows XP desktop computer.
I didn't know until today that Jeremy Soule composed the music for this game, but in hinsight, it makes a lot of sense. His signature is all over it!
I came back to this game after 12 years and was shocked at the graphics haha. I remember the game looking much better lol.
32:15 brings back memories of my dad and I quarreling (harhar) over controls as one of us took hold of the mouse and the other used the arrow keys and spacebar, took us countless attempts to beat
I hope to do something similar with my son or daughter one day
24:50 I remember having a hard time getting all the rings when I first played this game somewhere in 2001/2002. When I installed this game again a year or 2 ago it was so easy to get everything and the hidden card. This game and the chamber of secrets are the ones I played most in my childhood. Good memories!
"Happy Hogwarts Loop"
I thought I heard Jeremy from Elder Scrolls, apparently he touched my life way before.
And his OST arguably surpasses that of the movie.
These aren't just soundtracks, they're *THE* SOUNDTRACKS!
Draconifors! Lapifors!
The most nostalgic music I know.
My childhood! ♥ As a five year old, playing this was a magical experience, almost as if I was really at Hogwarts. I still remember spending hours just walking around trying to find secret spots and getting scared beyond belief by Filch or the Bloody Baron. God, I miss those times ...
Вот это ностальгия, столько воспоминаний по этой музыке!
да да да))
о да(

Yes, Jeremy Soule may be a subject of controversy today, but that doesn't change the fact that his work was nothing short of outstanding.

I love that there are screengrabs of the game for each song
Just a sea of emotions and remembrance of simpler days swept by me when i heard this. From the bottom of my heart, Thank you.
Suuuuuuch nostalgia! I played this game all the time back when it first came out!
36:43 is a personal favourite. I really enjoyed the greenhouse part!
Has it really been 18 years? That's a lifetime away but a part of me remembers playing this. I can not fully go back to that time though, at least not consciously. It's kind of sad that we forget how it feels to be a child when we grow up.
Modders, we need this in Hogwarts Legacy !
AT *LEAST* 'PHOENIX'.
not possible without modding tools the devs need to release
@@issness_god Nexus Mod page for the game says otherwise.
@@issness_godoh really? Because someone just made a mod for that exact thing a few days ago.
This music is perfect for Harry Potter and it's world. I remember this giving me so many right emotions and feeling. Still does to this day!
This is one of my favourite games of my childhood. I used to play it on my uncle's computer when I was a kid. We played it together and always laughed at funny moments with gnomes. He loved the music of this game so much.
My uncle passed away two years ago and here I am , still listening to this to bring back my memories.
i still love this game and the music gives me goosebumps
Just beat this game again last night, these games will always be my favorite.

Music crafted masterfully...my compliments to J.S. for this ost
So true with that
This is still one of the best games ever. Which is really impressive for an old game like this.
I'll never forget playing it for the first time
The game that got me involved into Video Games. I have always loved it's secrets and level design. It's like no other.
This was my first ever computer game, it came free along with a computer. This music... so good! I still play these games sometimes...
