Yes!!! I'm so impressed! I even hear a hint of the last verse's poignant backing vocal incorporated into Josh Turner's guitar part (at 2:16 in the video).
The bass lines drowned inside the chords, Paul's counter sing in the bridge, you really have the most wonderful taste in making Beatles covers. I adore.
If there was ever a Josh turner arrangement that needed its own tutorial, it’s this one. Doing my best to pick it apart on my own but my lord is this good.
Holy smokes, Josh, it is the perceived effortless of pulling off all that rhythm and lead into one glorious piece. And your voice is just perfect in this.
I don't understand why this guy isn't famous by now. It doesn't go any further to fully understand how to play. Hope in a few years this guy is having the success he deserves, together with his friends. And stays the personality he is and fall for the challenges a modern pop artist has to deal with. Stay who you are. Thank you so much .
I wish I could play like that!!!! This is a maestro at work! This is the best. This is the highest achievement for a solo performer- to fully cover a wonderful song like this and ADD their own special notes and cadences in a way that makes the song fresh, but shows that the song still has unplumbed depths. Classics preserve the fire not the ashes; The fire is still as good as new!
Wow !. Unbelievable good !. Everybody who carries the heritage of The beatles (or George Harrison) on their musical shoulders is my heroes. And with a professionalism such as this,..it´s priceless really. 👍 ♥
Watching this video, it dawned on me how many years I’ve been watching you play and sing, and grow. You’ve always been super talented. You’re definitely one of my favorites. I don’t enjoy everything you do, but that’s the beauty of your talent, you can do anything!
superb arrangement - the change of key from the original (C) to this in G really I think enabling the rich bass and lead accompaniment as well as smooth vocals. You can see his skill and versatility in many RUclips videos. If you get chance to see him live in partnership with Allison (voice of an absolute angel) a duo called "The Bygones", snatch it with both hands - you will not be disppointed.
Your voice is stunning. You just sing - you have no affectations and aren't trying desperately to be someone you're not; you're just yourself. I wish more singers were like this. Beautiful cover
Josh-- So impressive. Your singing is also more sophisticated than I recall. And the arrangement, chord progression is amazing to capture a complex song like that on a single acoustic guitar. Just amazing!
Your Beatles arrangements are always the best, bar none.; I keep coming back to your Strawberry Fields almost every day. Thank you Josh, keep up the great work!
Great stuff. I have been singing and playing the song for many years. I am an old man 68 years. Josh i haven't seen and heard a guitarist singing and playing like you did. I need to learn the guitar work u have done in this song. thanks for this. Wish u achieve greater heights in music. regards ash from South Africa
Two days ago I saw Paul McCartney live here in Argentina. Thanks for uploading this video and keeping the Beatle flame burning in me. The guitar job is wonderful
@@sebastianzuzi311 Amazing. Can't believe he's 82 years old. I had seen it 5 years ago and now it sounds even better. 3 hours of a show of guaranteed musical quality and emotion.
There’s something in the way this stripped back cover feels so right. I can almost imagine George playing like this as he put the song together. Awesome Josh. 🎉😊
I am blown away by this performance. There is a point where you moved one middle finger while the other stayed put and it was incredible. Such control.
You are NO DOUBT one of the most talented musicians "in the world" - and also one of the hardest working most likely. And surely you deserve all the praise "in the world" too ❤❤❤ Goes without saying "Allison is wonderful too" and you 2 make an extraordinary duo
Wow, what a great rendition! I have played this song on stage for years with great emotion, and great reception from my audience. I never thought about doing it in a different key like this, but it actually opens up the song in a totally different way. His voice is amazing, and his guitar playing is quite exceptional and tasty. I’ve been doing that lead for years, but I loop the backup guitar part. He’s doing it all at the same time. 😳😳 Astonishing…
Hope to see you back in this room doing a concert or recording more material. Pipes of Peace! One of my (weird) favorites. London Town's pretty good too.
This is good. I'll have to incorporate Josh's ideas into my playing. I love the fact that we can see what he is doing on the guitar the whole time he is singing "Something".
Awesome setting! Awesome look! I don't even have to mention the guitar cuz it's always off the charts. But what I really wanted to say was that your voice sounds better than ever. This song fits your voice perfectly. Beautiful! Thank you for your contribution to music Josh!
Excellent, Josh! From a former 2 year guitar student of one of your early influences in Minnesota U.S. (Pat Donohue) Very tasteful and well sung version of "Something." Just the most fitting fills and solo included. Purple socks are icing on the cake... John B.
that's a great arrangement. The melodies from a lot of instruments in the Beatle's recording are all showing up on one guitar. And Josh sings and plays it all together. I wish I could do so well.
Most of the people who are doing covers today are hard to watch because they're either incompetent, or cringe, or both. Josh Turner is among those few who is neither. Perfection, all the way. Wonderful musician! Cheers!
A great cover in its style and beauty and at the same time one that reminds us in the details how this song is so special, unique and a masterpiece of songwriting.
Brilliant arrangement! I love the way you're always able to incorporate so many riffs from different instruments into just one guitar part. Super creative.
Dear Mr Turner, vor ein paar Tagen waren Sie in Wien und Prag, nicht weit von mir ... Wie gern hätte ich Ihr Konzert besucht. Alles Gute für Sie und danke!
Something in the way you play, attracts me like no other cover.
This made me laugh, thank you :)
Me too!
Clever.
I see what you did there 🫣🫡
Hats off sir, well done.
I can't believe you included some of Paul's bass riffs into this rendition. Bravo!
Good catch! That was one of the things that blew me away too
Yes!!! I'm so impressed! I even hear a hint of the last verse's poignant backing vocal incorporated into Josh Turner's guitar part (at 2:16 in the video).
Yeah he sings Paul's vocal part on half the chorus
Playing with the tempo too, very interesting.
Hard not to play the bass line when you cover this one, it carries the song
Joshua I swear to god if this doesn't end up on spotify bad things will happen
Josh and his friends are the reason I switched to RUclips Music , you can put all of their songs and covers in your playlist.

Sinatra called it his favorite Lennon/McCartney song 🫢
The guitar arrangement was incredible. That solo. To sing as well as play that good
Josh doing the Beatles justice while displaying his high level guitar skills...great way to start the day!
this version is so immaculate. perfect blend of riffs and chords.
If there was ever a Josh turner arrangement that needed its own tutorial, it’s this one. Doing my best to pick it apart on my own but my lord is this good.
The execution of this is unbelievable; the clarity, the technicality, the overall inclusion of the original vibes SO much into it. Speechless.
Beatles with a James Taylor flavor. Nice rendition, Josh!
That's a brill way of putting it! Thanks for that thought.
Appropriate, given this particular song.
I am a 65 year old Nana whose all time favorites song is "Something" I absolutely love your cover!!
That is a STUNNING guitar arrangement. Speechless...
One of the best guitar players around. And a beautiful voice to boot! 🤩
The way he snapped out of that lead into that verse at 2:05 was flawless

Love that bass line at 0:29
It's been a while since you performed in your legendary raw style. This is the authentic JT we have grown to love over the years .......
Josh Turner amazing guitar skills and voice. top notch. what a cover.
Right now I am watching a purple sunset in Kefalonia, Greece. This is the perfect Soundtrack to it.
