A Beatles cover by Josh is an automatic watch
Every time
And an automatic like
Agreeed
Beat me to it
Josh posting is an automatic watch. A Beatles cover by Josh is clicking Like before clicking Play.
Emulating a whole band with just one guitar. It’s amazing how you play every detail of the song while you’re singing. Well done
I counted five instruments.
Highly impressive.
Pretty crazy isn't it! I was thinking the same thing..... that complex structure of the song, while singing it!
My words were here before I could post them. A whole band in a six string. You need to tour Josh.
This is impressive as hell. With all the orchestral elements and weird changes it’s not a song you just pick up and play on the guitar. A real talent.
Nobody that is not a musician can even fathom how much work and dedication this requires…
You’re a blessing to music my man!
Agreed. Incredible playing!
youre completely righ
Ten thumbs up!!!
One voice, one acoustic guitar, one mic for one great talent playing one great song. That's good
He is the One.
Best kind of music

Everybody stay calm, STAY CALM!!!
Edit: That was absolutely incredible
😂.......my head is EXPLODING atm......hard to keep calm...... 🥵🥴🤯
I’m speechless. Absolutely fabulous. From a 73yo Brit Beatles fan
Fantastic. The perfect cover of an almost 'uncoverable' song.
The outro was mega.
The guitar fulfilling the enormous job of all instrumental parts was EXTREMELY well done! Vocals excellent too as is the norm for Josh.
yes it really made my head fill in all the other parts, flute, trombones etc. from George Martin's arrangement.
and even all through the fade out
Agreed about the Instrumental parts...the fact that he attempted it (the parts) at all is freaking awesome, and then he does it tastefully, accurately and not all goofy and half-assed...really, really cool
Absolutely the best cover of this song by 1 person. Using the guitar to do the vocal harmony on the final refrain was brilliant! Well done Josh!!!
This 70 year old Beatlemanic is very pleased! Thank you for keeping the music alive!
I also thank you
Easily 8 years watching/listening and enjoying the art Josh. You should be proud
turner is king! my jaw is on the floor. cranberry sauce.
One of my favorite Beatles songs of all time - in my opinion THE iconic representation of the depth and breadth of their remarkable talent as composers, arrangers, and musicians. Strawberry Fields is unique, complex, and so very, very cool. Never did I think it would be possible for one guy with a guitar to recreate the feel and vibe of the Strawberry Fields experience. Until now I guess.
Josh, I'm from Brazil, I'm 68 years old, I really like everything you present. This song with you playing and singing was spectacular!
Paul McCartney should record with you. Josh, you are a complete musician! As a 68-year-old Brazilian, and crazy about the Beatles, it would be an incredible meeting of two generations, of two superb musicians.
McCartney not MacCartney
You surprise me every time. You managed to reproduce the strings and the effects, even the harmonies in the last chorus. Magic.
What an awesome arrangement for guitar. And I love how you tap Ringo's fills on the body.
Letting the open string ring in the opening progression is pure magic! The whole thing is wonderful, but that open string ringing just makes it!
I was wondering how that sound happened. I thought there was a 2nd instrument dubbed in. Amazing!
@@mazeman01The unusual very low tuning of the lowest string (6th) makes this possible.
I think most people don't realize how complicated it is to parrange & lay this *and* sing along while playing it. Despite the impression one might get from RUclipsm, this man's talent+knowledge+skill is rare.
COULDN’T AGREE MORE!!!
How does this guy NOT have millions of subscribers??? C'mon, folks!!! If you're not subscribed.... just do it!
No
@@nsme6942theres always one hater in the crowd. Today its you. Nice going.
Why would you automatically assume I'm a hater? I just won't subscribe, that's all. I liked the video.
He can't keep getting away with it
to tell the truth I was very skeptical when clicking on this vid. I thought even grand master Josh Turner could only fail trying to do SFF justice by performing it just accompanying his voice on one guitar . But boy was I wrong! Incredible rendition my friend" Coming from a huge Beatles nerd.
Gosh, Josh! Your arrangement skills are second only to your playing, which is second to NONE!
Good lord, Josh. Amazing arrangement, stunning performance!
Ditto! Totally AMAZING~
I never realized how much I've been wanting this to happen until I saw the title.
I’ve noted this many times before, but it is truly amazing how certain subtle aspects of the original suddenly emerge in a cover of the original, and that blows your mind all over again. The specifics of this song are musically magical.
OMG ..... I can't stop crying. How on earth did you do that? It cannot be better than the original, but it moves me just the same. Thanx great man, love you!
Oh my gosh! You got all the details right! Absolutely brilliant. I've been saying that for years: you are the most complete musician on internet!!!
Like when Sir Paul and Ringo watch this: "This bloke should've been in the band...". As a life-long fan of the Beatles, I get goosebumps all the way through this majestic performance! Bravo!
the bassline in the pre-chorus is so well done. I had to rewatch it like 7 times.
I can only imagine Paul sitting next to you, watching your performance shaking his head with a smile on his face
John Lennon was truly a once in a lifetime talent.
You cover him so well. Happy to see it after so many great Paul covers!!
Excellent! Since they released this song 50+ years ago I don't recall hearing anyone ever covering this song, much less nailing it so beautifully, and I was around when it was released!
Hayseed Dixie did a bluegrass cover of Strawberry Fields, and Los Fabulosos Cadillacs did a bilingual cover with Debbie Harry on the vocals. Both were quite a while ago, however.
Candy Flip?!
Me, beeing 78, remember the original version. Let me tell you, Josh Turner comes very close to this original version with only his voice and a guitar. BRAVO!
I am 68 years old, here in Brazil, I have several Beatles long plays, and I can say with certainty: Josh was magnificent!
"that is you can´t you know tune in, but it´s all right". Meaning: we are all welcome.
On second listen it is obvious that you love this song and you channel that love into your guitar and it comes radiating out. An old man who has tried to play the guitar his whole life bows down to you.
You are just amazing at capturing so many nuanced expressions from such a wide range of instruments and voices in your arrangements. Thanks for sharing your creativity and talent with us all. :)
That's exactly what I like: every single shred of sound heard in the record, with its right timing, duration, tune, timbre (when possible) and more... which is something that not just anybody can do, even if we all heard the same things (I guess...): more than brilliant, probably memorable... my compliments golden kid, it must have not been easy 😊😊😊. A great weekend to this nice and talented couple of artists (and to everybody 😊).
Beatles music is the best that the 60s ever gave us ❤
And the ‘70-‘80-‘90’-‘2000..❤
In the end
The Beatles
Will have been
A phenomenon
That occurred
But once
In the vast history
Of
The
UNIVERSE.
How fortunate we are to have been witnesses.
Almost as rare are those who possess the talent and passion to pay fitting tribute as is presented here.
Yes, indeed!
Stunning! To even remember these complex parts and transitions, but to then play them flawlessly with nuance and feeling, WHILE singing throughout....I can't even wrap my mind around it. So well done! Thank you!
God Bless the Cranberry Sauce 🙌🙌
Beautiful. There are millions of Beatles covers but this one must on the top. Amazing. Thank you Josh
I must’ve listened to hundreds of Beatles covers, but this one beats them all! Fantastic! AI eat your heart out! This is the real music!
That guitar playing while singing is outrageous. Also, tuning the E string down to be your bass is badass.
Oh my! When will the chills go away?
Your Beatles covers are always beautiful
I'm not afraid to say that it's the most incredible and magnificent cover I've heard in my life.
I came here to write these exact words.
Brilliant! As a long time Beatles fan and very picky critic of Beatles covers ,I am super impressed by the amount of detail you put into this guitar arrangement, especially capturing all the low cello parts int it! Love it! Superb!!!
Fantastic - incredible - I´m speechless.
Never thought, that it is possible to cover that song with one man and one acoustic guitar in that quality.
Hat´s off, Josh!
Wow! Just wow!
A whole orchestra in two hands and one voice. Marvelous!
The best acoustic version I have ever heard 🙏🙏🙏
A one-man Beatles... excellent, Josh !
Just want to add to the accolades -- this is a fantastic arrangement and played very well! The singing is amazing, too. My compliments to Marie! I don't know how she orchestrates it all...
Thanks for including the commentary after the song, makes one feel like he's been invited into your home somehow.
See you in Eugene next month!
Beyond impressive. You just accomplished what took multiple musicians multiple hours and made it look easy. Bravo, maestro!
Lennon would be proud sir!! That's the best cover I've ever heard on Strawberry fields
Well done young man very well done
My sentiments exactly 💜
Just brilliant. And so sympathetic and respectful to the original.
It's those little details - little slides and percussions and variations. And over it all that clear pure voice.
Simply the best cover of this song!!! REALLY GOOD!
Stunning. And so analogue
Even Tommy Emanuel and Marcin can’t sing and play four part accompaniment. Josh is the top musician and producer in maybe the world. He and his cohorts are my top entertainment and sometimes education.
Well-said!
Incredible arrangement! Tommy Emmanuel needs to see this! Love the part where you start playing the melody on guitar at the end
Man, that must've taken a lot of practice - pure perfection! You're mega talented, Josh!
Wonderful as ever!!!
Dude, I have been following you for at least 7 years, and as much as I like your collaborations, your productions where you are the singular vocalist/instrumentalist are just the best!!! Thanks!!!
FANTASTIC COVER of an extremely difficult piece, extraordinarily well done.
Josh. I’d love to see you do the best version of Malagueña … EVER.
This guy.. I mean hth do you fit all that talent in you. Magnificient solo arrangement 🙌🏻
Hahahah!! Loved the lights and smoky room effect going on. Takes me back to…. Anyway. Beautiful rendition. Gonna be grinning all day. Thanks Josh!
From the first video I watched from Josh, over a decade ago by now, there immediately was this sense that he wasn't just a fantastic musician, but also, should I say, "genuine" and "thoughtful".
It warms my heart that he's clearly on the frontline in our defense against the poison of generative AI that is about to infest creativity. 5 to 10 years from now, "going analogue" to fight the (digital) cancer might have gained a lot more traction. Right now, it's a reinforcement of my high opinion of Josh.
Stay on this path, buddy!
More Josh solo covers, please! They are the best.
That was exceptional, truly. All the elements of the original, yet so pared down, and so Josh. I play a little guitar and I was amazed you were able to play something that demanding while singing without affecting either. Very, very well done!
this is absolutely incredible, Josh. outdoing yourself at every possible corner :)
A favorite memory of mine is using my sisters first gen ipod, eleven years old, going for a walk in November listening to this while my family gathered for Thanksgiving. Singing nothing is real and drugs never crossed my mind!
Josh’s technical brilliance grows with every video!😊
Josh continues to amaze... Great rendition of a classic.
Beautiful rendition!
My first thought when I saw he was covering a song that had so much studio production, was how this could be done on just an acoustic? I am sorry I doubted you for a second Josh. Simply amazing!
Josh Always Amazes Me. My Friend You NAILED This ... Amazing!!!
This is really hard to play. You're a master
Absolutely PERFECT
Any guitar player here knows this is performance is impossibly difficult. The singing and the accompaniment, just wow.
Josh Turner is a gem. A true musical virtuoso talent and a blooming flower.
Josh = Super talented 🤘
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent.
One of the best covers I’ve ever seen
Absolutely amazing! All the parts played by Josh on a single acoustic guitar. Wow!
Amazing
Thanks for comin to St Louie
Come back and bring Carson!
You were able to keep the spirit of this fabulous song.
With your only guitar and your only talent.
It moves me. And probably John too.
Like the Beatles , I like everything Josh does.
WOW !!!! That was so cool. Even the Sitar parts. I can't believe you played it live and sang it. You are so talented. I have been playing guitar for 63 years and could not even come close to that performance. Great job.
Vintage 1960's lighting.
Love it!
i’ve never heard someone play a cover of SFF giving so much attention to the individual instruments. what a brilliant rendition. bravo, josh. hope to see you and allison in SF at a bygone show.
What an incredible arrangement! I hear mellotron, swarmandal, cello, brass, drums, bass, bongos, even the harmonies. Everyone knows the song so well, that all you have to do is just suggest a part with an iconic riff or phrase and our minds fill in the whole thing. Great choices, Josh.
brilliant!!!
Wow! Greetings from Hamburg
What not to f****ing like! Great song simple input, one voice, one guitar. It took the Beatles many tries and even then the final version is a mash up of two separate takes and Josh nails all the parts with one guitar. Then add mist, colour shifts and don’t forget 4:3 format. Genius.
Speechless ... yet again.
