Shanna betrayed Jared and her kids with her affair. But she demanded the court and Jared give her sole custody of the children just because she felt entitled to it, even though she did not deserve it. When Jared re-married a better person, got an even better career, got equal custody, and had another 2 kids, the entitled and spoilt brat in Shanna decided she could not move on and needed revenge. Her parents raised her to be truly rotten. It was never about the kids. It was about her ego all along.

100%. People may argue that point with you but they do not argue from a place of fact.
I work in child protection for the busiest county in a middle state. On an average day we see about 100 new reports called in to our hotline. I am not exaggerating that of those 100 reports at least 30 are motivated by a spiteful mother or a spiteful grandmother. The majority of these reports are called in by females.
There is something so _abhorrent_ about mostly women using their children to settle scores and it doesn't come from a place of love for their children. It comes from a place of utter hatred of the father. Especially when there is another woman involved. It is frightening.

If more men were involved w their kids, then you’d see them weaponize their kids. Men are repeatedly the more selfish self-serving sex and they’re way more likely to transgress. What was the motive for killing Jared? They had both moved on with their lives. Why would they want to lose child support payments? I suppose because she didn't need the money. The biggest tragedy are the children. Four children are now fatherless. How selfish of Shannon to do this to the children, to Jared, and Jared's family. Shannon is spoiled and selfish, and evil, she and only thinks about herself, what she wants.

@@Ellieangel777 He lied to that woman and said he was separated/had filed for divorce, no? I have a hard time seeing her as a 'homewrecker,' it's not her job to make him be faithful and truthful in his marriage. That's on him, not her.
Here's the thing about the Wattses - even Shannan admitted in her social media videos that she was very hard on him. She said she'd even specifically been mean to him ("tortured him") before they were married. Both of them were people who were fairly immature and couldn't communicate very effectively. Chris bottled everything up; Shannan bothered him more when he stopped responding, even though it was clear he wanted to be left alone.
Now, was he right to kill her and particuarly their poor kids? No, of course not.
But people act like it was this idyllic family. It was always a toxic relationship. It started off toxic, if you watched the Netflix doc you can see Shannan saying in her own words that she kept trying to push him away, then pulled him back in, etc. If you behave in a toxic push-pull way? If you treat people in your life like props to be manipulated? Your relationship will probably implode eventually. It happened in the most terrible way for her, and that is tragic. But it was always going to implode, one way or another. Neither of them treated the other in a realistic or mature way.

So, her parents supported them - $8K a month? That works out to an annual income of $192K NZD. That is mind blowing and, I'd say, the tip of the hand-out iceberg Shanna had experienced her whole life. Now all those children are without their dad, his new wife is without her husband and those three theoretically should be behind bars for good. I pray his parents gain custody if they are able to care for them. What an utterly useless, mindless, mess. My heart goes out to the loved ones.

Her parents probably had them on the payroll of their business and a write off. Family owned businesses do that lots of times when having to support family members. No proof that they are not working, doing any actual work. If any another state living, they can be "working" remotely. And who needs $8000 per month to live a normal, standard life while one goes to school. Only to fund her extravagant life style, would be my guess.

Imo she was religiously shallow. Probably had a lifelong habit of lying, tricked Jared into believing she was loving and loyal -which is now evident she isn't - probably lied her way through the temple process/marriage and really didn't care for living the tenets of the church. Her "true colors" came out; leading to the worst of actions - the affair with the gym trainer, getting tatted up, hooking up with fringe people. So it's no wonder there's a broken marriage, and this case, a murder instigated by a reckless, self-centered, psychopathic woman.
