Metal Riff Master was what I spent this summer doing, and I'm loving it. On Module 4 transition riffs now. Jason, in this video you mention a lead guitar course. Have you released that one yet? I'm definitely interested! Rock on!!
I do want to add that when it comes to pick holding, one thing that made it A LOT easier for me was, they make picks that have molding fittings for your thumb and finger and it’s the perfect size to comfortably hold the pick with your thumb and first finger. They’re not like your cheap pick that you can get for a dime though. They cost a little bit more, but I promise you the price is well worth it when you see how fast you can play with it.
Man, I've tried those (and many other picks) and just didn't care for it. Had a conversation about this with a good friend this morning! I stick with the Dunlop Max Grips
Found your channel a few days ago and I love your style, not only the playing style but the way you explain things. I've been playing for 2.5y now (and still suck, of course!) but your tricks and tips have been much appreciated.
Awesome video! I subbed to your email list for the free practice guide. The only thing I have a problem with is the superfast solo shreds. The moderate speed ones I'm good with. Got two vids up on my channel doing guitar covers. Plan on writing my own riffs. Good info, Jason🤘🤘I'll keep tuning in to your channel!
Man that was an awesome video. I gotta say you are definitely the fastest picker I know! I can never get my hand to go that fast. I’m sure your guitar courses help people a ton man! Glad to this awesome video. Lastly, love the dog and love the thumbnail! -Cliff Hanger
Thank you brother Cliff, and appreciate your friendship! Yeah, I need to follow your lead and put Frodo in more videos! Always love seeing your dog in there!
Hey Jason, could you do a video on how you mix a whole metal demo song from start to finish (guitar, bass, drums, vocals)? Just the basics to get a demo sounding kind of like the real thing.
Awesome video, thanks. Have you ever done a video on pull offs, hammer ons & vibratos? Or on any of the three? If so, could you please, please pass on the link? I’d be eternally grateful. In any case, I can see that there seems to a bit of pull offs or vibratos in this one as well. I’m really struggling with all three, lol. Thx again
I've been playing guitar everyday since November 2022 (Rythm) I've learned all barre chords powerchords and those normal chords at the top of the guitar but i just can't make a metal song with powerchords that isn't a 4 chord progression it's kinda stressing me out. I really love glam metal grunge rock but maybe playing metal isn't for me which hurts but maybe thats just how it is 😭. Anyone got any advice??
I actually have an online course that may help you. It's structured, teaches you the fundamentals, but also has you implementing those in steps: www.jasonstallworth.com/courses/
I used a Dunlop nylon .94mm for about 30 years, I'm a hard "digging" picker so the rounder edge was good for my style but I could never pick really fast because the pick would get hung up on the strings. I switched to a Jazz 3 XL about 3 years ago and my speed increased quite a bit and forced me to stop the digging in because of the pointy tip, I still prefer the rounder edge because I played so long with it but when I try one of my .94 round edge picks I go back to my old way of picking and it slows down, I know you use thinish picks so my questions are...Do you use the rounded edge picks or the pointy ones? How much of the pick sticks out between your thumb and the tip?
I have a quite a bit that sticks out. Much of my picking is at an angle. I have another video that goes into that here: ruclips.net/video/uOQ4Ql-0RYI/видео.html

Glory to Arstotzka!
I have to add, I’m watching a lot of different guys (good players) but your way of teaching is the most what work wit me. Thanks!
🤘🙏
What a simple yet highly effective lesson. Amon Amarth has lots of riffs and melodies where this could be put to practice early on. 🤘🏼
Love some Amon Amarth!
I have been doing this method for the past few years, everyone should heed this valuable content...!!! Thanx Jason😊
🙏 🤘
A lot of videos on speed picking hasn't helped me at all. Your video has helped me tremendously and I'm now able to speed pick. Time for practice!
Awesome to hear that and glad this helped

Hey Jason, nice lesson. What BPM do you suggest we aim for? Cheers.
Just start with something low like 120 and build up

BTW, Are you playing through your Black Star Amped 3?
Yes, I've been using that exclusively since I've had it! If you haven't seen there video, it's here: ruclips.net/video/LQ68ib-rpIs/видео.html
Perhaps that is where I am going wrong when I do speed picking. I don't dampen the notes enough LOL.
😅🤘
Speed picking for beginners? You are showing off!!! Just joking! I love your channel! Rock On Bud!🤘👍
