The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

She was very beautiful
I remember watching this when it first aired. It's nice to finally see it in color!
There was no other period in time this song could've possibly been made in than the mid-1960s.
Fun routine with Nancy performing the title song from the comedy film starring Marrtin & Rossi -- that's Marty Allen at the end. Also, the comic book sound effect cards were a fun nod toward the then-popular _Batman_ TV series.
Yes.. agreed, a spoof on Batman👍👍👍❤️
That was hysterical. Nancy's beauty was totally flawless. And legs to die for. Marty Allen you lucky son of a gun.
Can't get enough of Nancy!
Thanks for the upload.
More please!
Love this ! Goooo Nancy !
'the young Nancy'...the young me then...song never gets old...
If I ever get a time machine, Ms. Nancy😘😍
Love how Ed introduces her as “Young Nancy Sinatra.” The Sixties really were a different time 😂.
Well, she was only 26.
Thank you! Keep the Nancy videos coming!
Yes Yes Yes
YES more Nancy please she's a doll and very nice too
The lyrics are quite funny. Sound like she's describing Maxwell smart lol
😲 one of my faves from nancy Sinatra
Incredible! One of the most highly anticipated & fun videos in the Ed Sullivan archives. As I mentioned in Nancy's other performance from this show, Nancy & Ed were both in the film this song is from. And how cool was it to see the primary star of the film (Marty Allen) appear at the end! Bravo Ed Sullivan channel!!!
Brilliant⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
1,000,000% agree.
She's singing it about Steve Rossi
Wow this is a live performance, I wouldn't have guessed :)
Bang! Blooie! Boom! Ka-Bam!
Holy explosions Batman! 🙂
😄
Beautiful, she was , and beautiful voice !!!
Ka-Bam... That was a blast!
Awesome video... Thank you for sharing! 💖

Only one word to describe this, and that is GROOVY
So amazingly talented Nancy rocks and can totally pull off anything thanks for sharing this family rocks musically 💕🎵
What beautiful videos, thanks to the Ed Sullivan show and to all those who have kept these videos for so many years, it is admirable because today many remember and others of us know great artists of the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. Thank you and hopefully you can share Latino artists who were on the Ed Sullivan show.
Nancy is amazing ❤
What a great clip
This episode featured a look at the premiere of "Last of the Secret Agents" which apparently was a film starring the comedy team of Marty Allen and Steve Rossi (they did a routine on this show and that was Allen doing a cameo at the end of the song). This must have been the theme song for the film. This was the same show on which Nancy sang "Let It Be Me" posted earlier. Also featured on this show was Mrs. Miller, known for her novelty off-key recordings of contemporary hits, singing "These Boots are Made for Walking", "A Lover's Concerto", "A Hard Day's Night" and "Downtown".
@@sparkleon4love27 You're welcome!

Hey Tom, why do you think so many people say that Nancy had a subpar singing voice and only found the spotlight because of her dad? I don't agree with any of that but I'd like to know what you think on the subject.

😂 You never answer me regarding this particular question! This is the second occasion I've asked you this about Nancy and I'm left high and dry again! Every other time I've left remarks on your threads you promptly respond-- what am I missing here? I'm feeling discriminated, here, Tom. Lol
That was a really crappy song!
@@brucekuehn4031 Movie, too
CAMP. love her
This song is the best thing about the movie of the same name.
Gold
❤❤❤
She couldn't wait to get out of that coat! Nancy was beautiful!
Nancy really should have been in an episode of 1960s Batman.
Chévere
Thank you friends ... We would like to see " Los 5 Latinos" who were on May 10, 1964 on the Ed Sullivan Show ... THANK YOU !!!
america really was lightyears ahead of the world with this kind of thing on TV in 1966, you couldn't see this level of production anywhere else
Yes you could
The onomatopoeias crack me up!
George Lazenby and Sean Connery (for the 1960's period/era): James Bond (Double 07)...
Классно.
"Blooie!" 😆😂🤣
👍👍🌟👈
Well done, Michelene! Perhaps it wasn't Steve you were singing about after all, it may have been Marty all along. The Good Guys International group surely would have been interested in getting that Statue of Liberty back, and placing it back down there in Manhattan. Perhaps it was those darn French who lifted it.
60s aesthetic 1000/10.
Never had to slap his face. lol.
This song was in the closing credits of "the man who knew too little"
😃👍💗 🌼 💗 💛 💗 🌼 💗 💛
Ed Sullivan: the product of Herman Munster and Frankenstein having had a baby.
💗🌈💗🌈💗 🤣🤣🤣🤣
This silly song is strangely similar to the mega-hit "These boots were made for walkin," a release which came only a few months later, and launched Nancy into hyperhipness.
That was fun, but really could have used some "spy" back-up dancers in black latex coats. Nancy seemed all alone on that set.
These boots were made for another song
Whaaat???
After hearing this song a few years ago I searched for the movie it was from, and was very unimpressed to see how incredibly cheap and low-budget it was when I found it on RUclips.
It's like a 2 minute action movie. And you get a hot chick and a song to go with it.
Nancy is beautiful and stylish as ever, although this is certainly not one of her best songs.
I must admit I'd never heard of the movie 'Last Of The Secret Agents?' before. I guess it may be similar to the 1965 British espionage spoof 'The Intelligence Men', starring the two comedians Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise (Morecambe & Wise).
It was cute to see here - I've had the recorded version by her for years - no, it's not her greatest song I do agree but she puts it over well -
Used to see "LOTSA" on the CBS Late Movie and it was not bad: the song was the best part of it. Those 2 nutty dudes did make Inspector Clouseau look like James Bond. RIP Gentlemen.
Yellow shiny vinyl mini-length coat with teased blonde highlighted wig; a song about secret agents with superimposed cartoonish wording copied from "Batman" - all extremely '60s.
Back when spies were in every movie.
i think she was more popular with the oldsters, not the youngsters!
Hmmm...I think she had a diverse following, young people related to her and older people didn't feel threatened by her - and that's a pretty healthy balance I think.
I assure you that "These Boots Were Made For Walkin'" was very popular with the youngsters, I being one of them at the time.
geez...everything she sings....sounds the same
No, that's not really fair - this particular song has kind of a "Boots made for walkin" kind of feel to it that's true but her other songs such as "You Only Live Twice", "Summer Wine" and "Something Stupid" don't sound alike at all -
Not really
@@JohnnyGNV… And my favorite, Nancy Sinatra song, “Sugar Town” ( 1967 ) 👩❤️👍…
The only thing worse than this song was the movie!
Just for to be the daughter of a membet of "La cosa nostra" (FS)...But She never had talent as a singer!😝
Nancy was the epitome of the 60’s cool chic.
Hmmm...Tony Rome Detail. Miami.😂😂😂Blue light at the Fountainbleu..."Gulf Flytrap...The Fountainbleu for flies and pests...bugs check in, but they don't check out..." Frank Sinatra quote. My mother wore a black cocktail dress...😂🎉❤Frank was dressing up for the night. Someone tried to make trouble. My dad was there.😮
