The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

After Ed did his last show on March 28, 1971, CBS aired Ed Sullivan Presents "Movin' with Nancy on Stage." on April 4 in ESS time slot. It was Nancy Sinatra's Las Vegas nightclub act taped at Caesar's Palace. The Osmond Brothers and the Blossoms also appeared. The original "Movin' with Nancy" special was from 1967 and is available on YT. However, I don't think the Sullivan show edition of "Movin'" has been seen since 1971. So how about it SOFA/Sullivan channel?

why did the 60s bring with it so much amazing singing talent? i mean, the 60s had the supremes, nancy sinatra, aretha franklin, james brown, etta james, mamas and papas, dusty springfield, elvis, cher, darlene love, smokey robinson, ben e king, dionne warwick, Lesley Gore, Gene Pitney, patti labelle, lulu, shirley bassey, etc etc etc, and yet today i could not tell you a single person in the charts. music was AMAZING then, today it is absolutely bland and drab.
