Just got rid of my paperbacks last week cause I finally got the Loeb omnibus, these hardcovers are nice but the omni is just too beautiful to get these stories in any other format.
were you able to sell your old trades or did you give them away? in the same boat you were in. lol.
@@paulmcgrew2932 I sold em to my local comic shop, it was my first time selling old trade paperbacks so I was surprised that they gave me half cover price for em! I debated giving them away at first but extra cash never hurts lol.
And the omnibus is a cheaper route.
@@comicscoda which is super weird right? Who pays 160 for 4 hardcovers when you can go get the omni for like 80ish give or take. Guess it just depends on what some people prefer
@@JoeArnold333 yup. Super weird. I personally prefer the deluxe format as the ultimate reading experience. But the price point on these is totally unjustifiable, especially with no dust jackets. I’ve gotten used to omnibus now and am happy enough with this collection in one book.

Tim Sales art work is so great. I think the colours of Catwoman When in Rome did his artwork a great service. The colouring of Haunted Knight being the most 90s (in a bad way) gradients to white (gross).

Why are they wasting deluxe editions on stuff already collected in an omni? Where's stuff like Black Mirror deluxe edition??

there is some good stuff in the haunted knight collection. no where near as good as the longer stories but still good.

This price point is garbage, honestly. DC is squeezing that name for all it has got. Think about it… they’re all different page counts but all $50 WITHOUT dust jackets…. AND this is all collected in a single omnibus for $125 MSRP? There’s 0 incentive to get it in this format compared to the omnibus. Idk… would have at least made sense at $30 each and maybe $40 for the main series.

This story is somehow not as much discussed as the Long Halloween or Dark Victory. Honestly, it can even surpass those two. The story is so strong and goes deep into the mind of Bruce Wayne.
