I want to take mine to get it done, the problem is, they won't let your old fluid drain properly and get as much of it out as possible, they will not wipe down your pan or clean the dirty magnets, They just want to do a rush rush job. Best thing to get it done right is do it yourself. Thanks for sharing
@@yorselrus1996 I actually took it to a good Mechanic, He only charged me $70 to change the Transmission oil he let it drain for about an Hour and also cleaned the pan and magnets as well as replace the filter and gasket. I sat there the whole time and he showed me the pan as well. Great mechanic and great dude. I got lucky.
Good job is easy is jut a regular oil transmission fluid change like the old transmissions on a Chevrolet or ford you should did a filter change too but anyway I bean out of doing any mechanic work for a long time keep up the good work thanks for the video.
This is NOT a Trans Fluid change procedure. It is only a drain and fill. To change all the fluid you need to drain the Trans cooler, lines and torque converter. Changing the screen (filter) and cleaning the magnets in the pan is also a good idea. This is called a Minor Transmission Service by Nissan. A complete fluid change takes 12+ quarts. There are other video's which show how to do a complete fluid change.
It depends to how many mileage do you have in the car if the car has too many mileage I don't recommend flush the transmission all the way you take chance maybe you can blow the transmission
To flush the transmission all the way you need a machine and my videos is for people who want to change transmission by herself so you don't need to use the machine you can do it only drain and fill if I show what the machine no one got to watch the video and everybody got lazy and you're going to need tickets on Mechanic and they charge him a lot of money from $25 job to $300 job you understand what I'm saying
If you would like to change the transmission filter you can no problem but you have to remember how many mileage do you have in a car and when the last time you did change the fluid if you never touch the fluid before first thing to do do the same thing I did in my video drain and fill and drive the car and see how the car will be rain with the car normal no problem then go ahead and change the transmission filter
I think there is about 12l of fluid but you won't be emptying the torque converter or cooler. Hyundai iload i800 and genesis have same filter and gasket and in Europe are cheaper than the nissan ones.
Hello, how many litters did you use to make the oil service? I have a nissan frontier SV v6 automatic transmission and I need to do the service. Thank you. Btw, for sure we need the nissan matic S oil
Hey man I bought a 2010 V6 4x4 with 193k, the truck seems to be well taken care of but I don't know the service history, would you recommend a drain and fill or leave it as is?
If the truck never got service transmission fluid before I recommend to change the fluid but what's a different options remove one quart of the transmission fluid and add one quart so every week do the same process until you flush the whole system because you know what I take a chance when it flush the whole system in my shock your transmission and it can't blow it so this process why I show you now is the most easy one to protect your transmission on the car be driving better if the transmission been serviced before yeah it's okay just drain and fill it's safe to do it just don't give to someone has a machine and flush it all away and my shock the transmission and it can transmission Go fail
When I change the transmission fluid in my Chevy S 10 few years back I had to do a filter to there’s no filter in this truck or was it just not necessary to change?
@@LessExpensivefix well that doesn't actually explain what i commented on , i was just making not Nissan transmission fluid is more expensive than ac/delco or any other fluid i have priced, i didn't say you could use an equivelant fluid at a lower cost
@ mine has 254k on it and runs xlnt. I change the trans fluid and filter every 35k miles. Transmissions are very expensive, fluid and filter every year and a half is cheap insurance.
excuse me bro,i have a nissan frontier 3.8 with 9speed automatic transmission,so i want to know how many liters contain this gear box??? do you know???
If your car has more than one 170000 miles juste lever if you have less than this mileage juste drain and fill you'll be fine never flush the transmission oil Away by machine the same technique what I did on my video is for more protection I needed that I used dealer fluid don't transmission filter juste fluid
This procedure DOES NOT WORK on any 3.8 2020 or newer models. It is a sealed system that requires the entire trans pan to be dropped and filled from below!!!
@@LessExpensivefix No offense, but if you have to ask that, that just proves you are not informed.🤦♂️ But to answer your question: NO! Okay for the co transmission there is two drain plugs and a need of the oil pan one to drain the fluid and want to add the fluid is the same thing like Infinity is your 37 or the Q50 if the car has a dipstick it's got to be a passenger side so remove the dipstick and go underneath of the car and you found a dream plug you can drain the fluid from there and match the fluid how much fluid camera from the transmission then add the fluid back the same thing did you take it off start the car shifts the gears each gears for 10 seconds and wait until the transmission gets hot check your transmission level when the car is on if the transmission is full mean you are good if the transmission fluid look is low add some fluid back again but make sure you use transmission fluid from the dealership easy job guys thank you for your time and be looking to my videos thank you and if you have any question ask about trying to help you more
Nissan doesnt require a filter change unless transmission has been contaminated for example if it got water in it. Filter is actually only a screen just like on Honda civic transmissions
If I show people how to change the transmission fluid and the filter people is going to be more lazy to change the fluid and he got to take it to the shop to do it I need to get up because too much to change transmission fluid and the filter and the car required dealer fluid only so the job going to be cost you between $400 to $700 but my technique is very easy and it cost you really cheap
It depends to you if you like to change the transmission filter yeah you can change it but you have to remember how many mileage do you have on a car if your car has a lot of mileage just don't change the filter the first drain and fill if the car drive after that better then go change the filter with no problem because you have to remember Nissan require to change the fluid every 30,000 miles if you never change the fluid before don't drain and fell first then if the car drive normal after that go ahead and change the filter
You see do you have too much mileage on your car and you take chance if you change your transmission filter that mean you changed all fluid from the car and it could mess up your transmission drain and fill is your solution only to keep it transmission safe
You're better off letting the automatic trans seize by ignoring it. Then you can simply put in the manual transmission it should have been bought with in the first place.

It's best do most maintenance yourself. It's not that hard and you'll have peace of mind that it was done properly.

Thats considered a flush not a change
This is a transmission change, you are referring to a transmission flush.
I was always told not to flush a transmission completely, and I'm still going to live by that.
Do you check ATF level with the car running on parking?
Running in park.
You don’t need to change the filter?

Has screen, not filter.
Hey are you supposed to replace the filter or no?
why does nissan matic-s fluid cost 3 times more than any other transmission fluid ?
The dealership Floyd has only one formula and aftermarket fluid has too many formula for too many cars doesn't help your car be driving normal

I'm not an oil lab but I've been told the Castrol ATF/CVT is the exact same oil as Matic S. People pay a premium for OEM.

Transmission for the new model of the old model is always 30,000 miles by the fluid from the dealer is better
