    Hi, could there be a difference, for example pain, if the internal and external rotation is done with shoulder abduction or not? Thanks

    • @Physiotutors
      @Physiotutors  6 лет назад

      For sure. Above 90° we need quite a bit of lateral rotation to reach full abduction and flexion.
      If AROM is done in internal rotation, this might thus provoke pain, similar like in the Neer Test.

    I have pain when moving a chair , shifting to reverse gear, moving a sliding gate etc.
    Is it ok or to be treated or need detailed checkup
    (I am here because I am having pain in certain motion. I went to a hospital and the doctor was saying the pain should go away after some time. now its 2 month and i am still having the pain.)

  • @yf1177
    @yf1177 7 лет назад +2

    Great videos. For the shoulder extension test, it appears that the subject only achieves about 45 degrees. Is this normal rom? Also for the external rotation test, it appears that the subject again only achieves about 45 degrees. Is this normal rom?

    • @Physiotutors
      @Physiotutors  7 лет назад +2

      Normative ROM values for each Joint are displayed in the video for each movement. He may be actively insufficient to reach the normative endrange. In case you see a limitation, you would passively reassess for that movement and check the endfeel/pain provocation.
      Be aware that even if something is not concordant with "normal" values, it doesn't have to mean that it's necessarily pathological.

    Hello, I can't keep my forearms parallel to the floor when my biceps are flexed, such as in a reverse curl, or say when I'm working on a mouse. They force themselves to rotate inwards. I have tried the tests here and my range seems fine, I'm not sure what's the issue

      it's a second option to assess internal rotation. As seen before that you can ask the patient to place the back of their hand over the lumbar spine such as during the lift-off test

    I have pain along the medial border of the right scapula that is exacerbated with sitting down and lying on my back. I've difficulty with placing the right hand on my back (hitchhiking thumb test) which causes impingement symptoms but no problem with the other internal rotation test. Also scapula dyskinesia (tipping) and right hand colder than left hand. Any idea what is going on and what muscles/tendons are at the core of this particular problem?
